"We do not know the Truth b/c we deny it. And we deny it b/c it is painful. All Truths are Bloody Truths for me."- Thus Sprake Sarathurstra Friedrich Neitzche.
Fanboy here... I have followed this man since I was 15. Now I am 60 and I still love his songs. He is so endearing and at the same time so wise (listen to some of his lyrics...!) Love it!
This is a man who won’t use a cell phone, computer or air conditioning because he feels these things disconnect him from genuine connections with other human beings and from the natural experience of discomfort. His music, however, is a direct line to the highest expression of empathy, kindness and the timeless power of rock and roll.
I am a lifelong fan. Many of Jonathan's songs have had something important to say that no one else has said in quite that way before in a song - and with an equally powerful humour and generosity of spirit, way beyond what most other singers can find in themselves. This song is such a fine example. If we refuse to feel all the things a human feels, and are encouraged to seek to smother it and cocoon ourselves from the risk, we won't forfeit that humanity in one go, but we will continue to change its shape and character, until some important part of what once made us truly human is (maybe) lost. This song is like a kind of sister song for 'Affection' (another of his best lyrics). Risk something and face discomfort, or get so little in return that you become isolated and insecure that you have to turn to snobbery and material addictions to reduce the emptiness, created out of being so 'incomplete'. Thanks Jonathan.
If the young lady in the blue kimono directly behind Jonathan is out there I just want to let her know she is the loveliest creature I have ever seen. A true beauty. I'd suffer for ya.In fact I think I already am. Love, from TN.
Brilliant! Nothing snotty or mediocre about the song or the man. Jonathon still has his mojo working and his loco smirking. Looking forward to his new album. Shame you ran out of memory but glad you were mindful to record what you did.
The most genuine and beautiful beings I had the pleasure of conversing with. Our conversation lasted a few hours and I did not want it to end. I'm still grinning. ^__^
Damn, cut out right at Summer Feeling
Have a bite of my "suffer burger", Johnny !
Jonathan Richmond is overrated and that’s why he’s selling masonry right now and not new music. This music blows.👎
you have no taste

Thank you for uploading, even if we all know you did it against Jonathan's wishes... 😆

Outside of The Mummies, this was probably my favorite set in a weekend full of amazing bands. I could've sat there all day watching this.
did you record the rest of the set?
