These cars almost never pay for themselves based on the fuel savings compared to a similar non EV vehicle unless you can charge for free or expect to own the car for 20 years. That said, if you just like the car, then you just like it. This vs the civic hatch is my current struggle. Exaserbating the yawning chasm of pricing between these two cars is that nobody is discounting the Prius Prime while they're giving away the Civic hatch. Offsetting the cost difference with fuel savings isn't anticipated prior to the heat death of the universe.

I have an issue with your test track. The surface should have threatening pot holes and three inch wide cracks to simulate the road conditions here in the DENVER METRO!

Had the Aurora been super successful in the 90s and saved Oldsmobile then we would've definitely had the modern 442 no doubt about it.

I have owned & driven Oldsmobiles since 1961.....88s, 98s, Cutlasses, 442s. Omegas, a Toronado and now an Aurora. All great cars!!!! GM didn't know a good thing when it saw it!!!!!

Regarding the Astronaut Corvettes...my Dad was an Engineer out at The Cape from '56 to '76 and I grew up in Cocoa Beach (just south of The Cape). I can remember as a young kid in the early 60's driving down A1A and here my Mom whisper to my Dad "Oh the Corvettes are at The Mouse Trap again tonight". The Mouse Trap was a notorious/famous night club in Cocoa Beach and needless to say the Mercury and Gemini Astronauts were very popular with the ladies.

Oldsmobile died for the same reason that Pontiac and Saturn did; they became clone cars of other GM divisions, and as such, had no real identity. I know a lot of people miss those brands (and I do too), but it made sense for GM to pull the plug on them; too much redundancy

GM decided to keep Buick to make the Chinese happy.

These 3 or 4 Cylinder MT vehicles are like driving a sewing machine. The driving experience for the Versa is in a word: tedious. You're shifting more than you're moving.

The new Frontiers are awesome. Capital one, not so much.

Bring back Oldsmobile and Pontiac.

My dad's last two restorations were 1970 Oldsmobile 455 big block 98's, a convertible and a hardtop. All Anne Murray on the factory 8 track, all the time!! End of an era. Dad's generation young guys drove Oldsmobiles on their way to arrive. Once arriving, they moved up to Cadillac, like Elvis, old guys, and the mafia!! New products like a vacuum style cruise control were always tried on Olds. first, then moved to Caddy's if they were effective. The cruise was not. So to the steering wheel lever horn.
