This was such a great interview. The crew had so much great advice for showrunning.

Echo's answers were so thought-provoking. The 'fire-chi' superstition is so quintessentially Chinese and was a total 'aha' moment for me for a question I never knew I had. Having fire be an allegory for teenage hormones in a teen drama is so smart! And being hunted by demons for the power to accidentally start fires in a town totally afraid of fire is even smarter! Truly an inspired show. There are too many smart elements to count. The fire allegory particularly fits so well as a great example of how a person's ethnic background colors not just their skin but contextualizes just about everything, like Echo says. I am beyond impressed with how Echo's vision instilled love for the project in the team that Gabe mentioned. Even just getting a new property passed the pitch deck is its own hat trick, but as a first commercial project out of college---Echo is absolutely the dark horse here. This panel left me curious what was on this legendary 200-page pitch deck 'bible' that the team and the Netflix execs instantly fell in love with? At the core of Jentry's story is a resounding love for family. The sentimental ending with Gugu's departure really scores all the wonderful things Gugu did for Jentry out of unwavering devotion, even if layered on her unreliable tendencies. The ending so fittingly represents my own experience losing my grandma when I was young, and conversely, I totally empathize with Jentry's own loss. I much appreciate the devotion to authenticity the Jentry crew put in.

I felt very identified to angela 40:48 - 44:20 I'm from Mexico and i have the posture the animation career doesn't exist here so you should prepare for you self. when i graduated from high school I would liked to know about the existence of new master academy , schoolims , drawing america instead of Domestika My artist learning journey not was't easily i had my up's and dos well defined but the more important i'm still going and i not gave up.
