PS5 Pro vs. PC
มุมมอง 1.4K19 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
PS5 Pro PC: 4090 9800x3D 32gb DDR5 4tb SSD 1,000w PSU My conclusion: Don't buy a Pro. Use that $800 towards a PC build. Or get a PS5 slim (used ideally). The RTX 5079 is about to drop for $550 and will decimate the PS5 Pro in performance.
PC can be used on a TV!?
มุมมอง 115หลายเดือนก่อน
"Some prefer to play on a TV and from a couch, consoles are better for that" Insert Steam Big Picture mode:
ps 5 launch 5 years ago.. so on that time.. no pc can near ps5 performance in 4k gaming... unless its 1k$ ++
Keep your mouse with your ugly pc and the remote with its console.
@@chillwill7s60 Very useful comment here. I actually play my PC with my gold Xbox gamepad, which looks better than both my PS5 gamepads. Just wanted to use the PS5 pad on PC to show it can be done. That's the beauty of PC gaming, options.
Also, my PC is far more astetically pleasing to look at than my PS5 Pro. Which looks sorta like a kids toy compared.
Naw stay faithful to your mouse, wow a box with fans, you still hafto add lights for it to so it could still look ugly and it takes half the space on the desk, or even worse have it on the ground. 🤣🤣
@chillwill7s60 What? I assume English isn't your primary language? I can't quite understand your sentence.
@BryceCzirr-jz7ju pc owners are just cheaters, leave the consoles for real gamers, stick to your mouse and computer with that little as monitor. 🤣🤣🤣
My conclusion: Don't buy a Pro. Use that $800+ towards a PC build. Or get a PS5 slim (used ideally). The RTX 5079 is about to drop for $550 and will decimate the PS5 Pro in performance.
They should have went with black straight out the gate with the Units. Black definitely looks way better. Awesome vid bro.
@FadedStreet 100% my dude. Playstation is meant to be black
I guess the PS1 is the only outlier. But even that looks badass in black. The PS logo really pops.
@@BryceCzirr-jz7ju They kept it black until the standard PS5. The PS3 was sexy as hell the original one. Think they decided to keep the same color scheme as they did with the PS1. Or maybe they knew people would want black so it was a marketing tactic, because they knew they'd release different color plates for people to spend extra money on.
@FadedStreet I agree. The launch PS3 was so premium. The best looking to me is still the launch PS2 with the cool blue stand.
@@BryceCzirr-jz7ju Yeah the PS2 was awesome. I think it has the largest game selection. I'm 29, I remember growing up playing Kingdom hearts on the PS2 and Spiderman 2. Jak and Daxter, GTA and Final Fantasy. Mx Unleashed lol damn man I loved the PS2. Gaming has came along way.
you wont really see a difference between 40 frames or 120, your eyes arent that good
This has to be a joke lol
It isn't something you just see, you feel it. 120 feels FAR more responsive and smooth than <60.
@@BryceCzirr-jz7ju nope. It’s actually scientifically proven
@@BryceCzirr-jz7ju lol sure. Your mind is playing tricks on you
@sh9683 Yes it is proven. That 120fps is better. There are detailed videos on this using pro gamers as test subjects. 144+ is actually the area of diminishing returns. But 60 to 120 is 100% better in every scenario for every game.
My qn is how did u afford to buy all of them? Give me 1 😢
Not married, no kids lol that certainly helps
@BryceCzirr-jz7ju for real, help me to buy one of them bro! Can't afford to buy them
Help me, buy me even a ps5 slim it'll be enough for me
You should of played the same scenes on Horizon really also i think fidelity mode is native 4k without PSSR, unless it has a Pro mode?. To make it fair you need to disable DLSS on the PC to match. It would be interesting to see a FPS comparison with DLSS on and off (native 4k). I think the FPS will tank.
@Michael.Talbot wouldn't help much. It won't hit 60 in any scene. You really feel how sluggish that game is on Pro with fidelity mode on. I wouldn't play it like that personally. DLSS doesn't do much in Forbidden West on PC. It doesn't gain much fps oddly. The 4090 will still easily pull well over 120fps at native 4k. And honestly dlss quality 4k, looks sharper than native 4k, it gets rid of aliasing.
@@BryceCzirr-jz7ju I don't believe a word you are saying. Sorry but this video is just sad tbh.
Well, some people believe in aliens, too. Free country. But the thing with 40fps vs 120fps being superior, is it can be backed up with factual data, so there is that. Remember when people used to say "30fps is fine. Human eye can't see more than 30fps." Those very same people are now saying "60fps is fine. 30fps sucks" People hate what they don't have access to or can't use. Example: someone will hate on a $125,000 Tesla because they can't afford one. Doesn't mean it's a bad car. Most people hate on PC gaming because they don't have access to or can't access it. Their only option is a console, so of course they will defend their only option.
The pc is at least 4000 with the specs u listed in the description where as the ps5 pro is like 700 to 800
@Parkerszn7 It isn't. I have receipts for everything. I got the 4090 2.5yrs ago for $1,500. I paid around $1,200+/- for my PS5 Pro. - PS5 Pro ($800 after tax) - 1 additional controller ($85) - A game ($65) - Stand ($35) - A year of PS+ ($160) - Black side plates ($20) My caution to anyone deciding between PC and PS5 Pro. Wait for the RTX 5070 this month. It'll only cost $500 and dust the PS5 Pro. If you absolutely only want a PS5, skip the Pro and get you a Slim or used slim and add a m.2 ssd later on
@@BryceCzirr-jz7ju you said you paid 1500 usd for the rtx 4090 the other guy is metioning how you spent over 4000 usd on the pc it self not just the gpu and its downright stupid how you included the cost of the extra controller and stand and accessories on the ps5 price i understand if you include the price of the game only but its just not fair that you included the price of optional add-ons. The actual comparison should be ps5 pro 865 usd vs gaming pc 3000 to 4000 usd.
@@BryceCzirr-jz7ju not to be rude but are u slow I’m taking about ur hole system not just the graphics card
Did you painted the plates for the PRO? Looks great in black. Nice video. Keep it up!
@lmbotiva I got them off AliExpress. I have a video on it, I am very happy with them for only 20 bux.
What monitor is that, looks like a nice oled
It is the LG C3 42" I love it! I had the Alienware 34" ultrawide before. But I like this one way more. Just had to build a deep desk and wall mount it because 42" is pretty large for a PC setup. I play my PS5 on a 65" oled in another room.
Spider-Man loaded slightly faster on PS5 Pro. But the 250fps vs. 40/50fps (Fidelity mode on) is a massive difference. Rift Apart also has an odd unskippable intro logo while PS5 Pro doesn't show the logos. Was gonna test Days Gone, too, but didn't wanna download the game twice on both systems again.
This is not a very good comparison
I mean it's 4 of the exact same games using the highest settings on the fastest possible console vs. highest settings on the current fastest PC graphics card. So I dunno what else you want here. It just seems the haters or people it upsets are not happy that the PC outperforms the PS5 by such a large margin. I mean, it should. This is an expected result. Just interesting to test them back to back to see/feel the difference. I (personally) lock my fps to 117 under normal circumstances as my display is only 120hz so getting 200fps+ is meaningless to me but it's nice to have the headroom.
I also never user the "fidelity mode" when playing PS5 as I can only stand 60fps. Anything less I don't even play it, even if that game is good. 60fps is the lowest I can stand. And it should be noted I play PS5 WAY more than my PC. I would say PS5 gets around 80-90% of my gaming because I love trophies. I currently have around 80 platinum's on PS5. I only use my PC to be like "Ohh ahh look at the graphics" in a small handful of games or to play emulators.
Do you have anything that can do moonlight streaming? Would love to see a side by side conparison with ps5 pro, pc, and moonlight rig. Im trying to save money by going moonlight from my 4080 rig instead of getting pro lol.
@effjay6447 I am not sure what moonlight is to be honest I never have looked into it.
@@BryceCzirr-jz7ju yeah its kind of a niche way of gaming so i understand. Basically its like cloud gaming but using your pc as your host and another device as a client hooked up to your tv...usually a mini pc nets the best results as a client in terms of latency from what Ive read. It is somewhat restrictive though as you cannot really use your pc while your streaming to your tv but at least you get to game with the full power of a pc on the tv. I guess Ill just have to try it on my own and see how it turns out. GL with the channel.
@@effjay6447 Oh dang that is interesting, I recently have been using SteamLink to game from my PC to my phone because I got a pretty neat gamepad that attaches to my phone and it's cool to play in bed sometimes. I would love to get my a portable PC like an ROG Ally but I am waiting for an Oled display, the Steam Deck Oled isn't very powerful so I will only get that if I can get it cheap.
Nice set up bro
Hey thank you =]
@ ur welcome
your PC looks very beautiful and very powerful indeed
Hey thanks I play with all the RGB crap off usually but enabled it for the video ha
The specs of the PC are a material concern in this comparison. Please add them to the description.

The black looks much much better
Defeintelly, PS should always be black!
What graphics card with the 9800X3D?
4090 but I wanna buy the 5090 lol
i wish the middle section wasn't glossy by default
@superfh123 Yeah, it's terrible, lol. I had scratches by the 3rd day of owning it.
@@BryceCzirr-jz7ju wow. also, did you get your hands on any of the anniversary stuff? the anniversary DualSense is the best looking controller i've ever seen
@superfh123 I have not. I want to personally do a customized smoked clear controller kit. You swap the internals of the dualsense into a custom-made clear shell. They have various colors, but I want the smoked clear one to replace my white one.
i had the 1080ti until i got the 7900xtx. i also had the 1950x threadripper - they made a great pair on a 1080p setup but then i moved to a 1440p base system. i love the amd gpus but for machine learning they just don't cut it. the 4090 seems to check all the boxes for what i need. plus i guess ill get a boost in games. not worried about coil noise. i've got a 1000gold psu. that baby !!! hey thanx B - i'm def still interested. oh, when did you buy the card?
@simongentry I have the 1,000w Corsair PSU and love it. I have the original receipt purchase date of 11/18/22. I got it at MSRP shockingly, ha. The coil sound can only be heard if you're running crazy high frames as the power draw is highest. I have never had a GPU that didn't have some sort of whine. it seems to just be a part of them. If I cap my FPS, I get essentially no whine, which makes sense as the power draw and utilization is lower. I know the 4090 is a very good undervolt GPU where you lose essentially no performance, but can use less wattage and get even lower temps but the stock voltage never goes over like 68/70 degrees it seems. If you wanted to do some research, the particular model is the MSI Gaming Trio X. I REALLY wanted the badass stock watercooled MSI version, but it was sold out. I think it's personally the best-looking 4090 variant. Plus, it's the smallest.
@@BryceCzirr-jz7ju as i understand it was a slight oc and the water cooling... def needed if you're pushing the card. i don't plan to push and if i do well then i might explore a water cooled case for all components. either way - the 4090 is perfect for my project.
@simongentry I really don't think watercooling would ever be necessary they really over-built the coolers on the whole 4xxx lineup. They are comically large but effective. 90% of the time my fans don't even run, which is great for dust and longevity of the bearings. I think the fans only kick on when the card gets over a certain temperature. The heatsink is so massive it cools it all by itself without the aid of fans, well besides the case fans.
@@BryceCzirr-jz7ju that's good to hear!
Welp. 5090 will be $2,000, official
Hey B - did you sell your 4090? i'm in houston and def down if it's still available.
I actually didn't. I am now thinking maybe it isn't such a good idea. Rumor has it the 5090 will cost $2,500+ which if true I won't be buying it. Once the 5090 official MSRP is posted and depending on if it's reasonable, I'll sell the 4090 for the $950. I will keep you updated or if you hear anything official before me. Did you need any videos on the card? Benchmarks etc.?
@ that’s true about the price! it is rumored to be $2500 ish. the 4090 is a great card… i’ll be using it for Large Language Modeling. I have an AMD card the 7900xtx which is amazing for gaming - but not so hot for training AI. I’m easy to find on the net if you change your mind.
@simongentry Ok, I will keep you updated, and I'm fine with shipping it. I still have all the original packaging and everything. I hope the 5090 is around $1,500. If it is, I'll buy one for sure. But I can't justify $2,500+ that's almost a used motorcycle lol.
@ i totally get it! i’ve had such a tough time finding a new 4090! i was going to wait until the 5090 came out but i am not going to pay $2500 either! lol yes please keep me in mind… if you decide to upgrade.
@simongentry Did you want any particular videos? I can record benchmarks or anything you'd wanna see.
yo bro im located in nashiville too, can you post a benchmark? I'm defnitely interested
@geck-2670 yeah dude what you wanna see? Name a game or software. I use Heaven and Superposition.

Interesting... what's your setup? Specs, emulator settings, overall method?
I used a tutorial for ShadPS4 install and use the Diego build from Github. No real mods used because they aren't really needed anymore. I do use the press L3 for jump mod. I also use the patches for things like skip intro, enable Hunter DLC, higher resolution etc. Using the 1.09 patch and the regular version of Bloodborne, not the GoTY edition, not sure if that matters. I also use Reshade to create a sharper image.
@@BryceCzirr-jz7ju It's not working for me.. When I boot the game, it brings me to a black screen with no sound, then the window auto-closes sometime afterwards. Either way, this is probably a pipedream for me at the moment anyway, I'm on a gaming laptop running linux, so I'll wait for development to be further along. Thanks for the tips tho, I'll be sure to check into those when I can get a release working on my computer.
@weatherman1504 Well, what are your specs? And did you follow the latest "how to play bloodborne on ShadPS4 tutorial" on youtube? There are factors here. You also need the correct game file and patch. And if you have an Intel CPU you still have to use some mods.
Other than the need for 120fps, the visuals looks perfect!
@R6ex TH-cam doesn't do it justice in person it's incredible. Only thing that comes close is 2077 with mods and PT on.
Is this on PC? Also, what controller are you flying with?

@Tbear91 Yeah man and if you need roms, google: romsfun they have up to PS3
I can’t imagine how a graphics card worth twice as much as a PS5 Pro (plus the cost of a rig able to utilize it) could possibly outperform…
I had forgotten to turn on RAM OC on and after I got around 200fps lol. The PS5 "Pro" with it's whopping 16 tflops compared to the 84 in the 4090 (and double that in the upcoming 5090, so around 160 tflops). Makes the "Pro" not look so Pro after all.
That's all you got?
No. I have about 8 in total.
