How To Unlock Locked YFT, YDD, YDR Files for GTA5

Zmodeler Version: (example: 3.2.1)
What you have tried so far:
Issue description:

1. Install the latest CW release from the CW discord in #releases: discord.gg/MyVEusx
2. Open up RPF explorer and make a desktop shortcut for ease of access
3. Turn on edit mode
4. Create a folder in GTA5 folder with an rpf inside it dedicated to stuff like this
5. Drag your model files into the RPF along with the YTD
6. Right click on non _hi model, in some cases both and export as XML to desktop
7. Right click in CW RPF Explorer window and import the xmls you just exported
8. Open up zmodeler3 and import the model and make backups so this doesnt happen again!

do you know how to decrypt a vehicle model becuase it doesnt let me because its encrypted
If its encrypted through fivem escrow, I am unaware of how to fix that.
When I import xml to codewalker I get “An error occurred while parsing EntityName, Line 1259, position 20”.
we only needed this for 100% reason is getting templates 😂😂

in some cases, models in Zmodeler are nice, but in Blender they have holes, e.g. missing bumper. what's the fault?
Make sure you are importing the Highest quality model to blender, you may be seeing the LOD versions which may have missing parts depending on how they are made.
every time im importing to zmod its telling me the texture failed to load and is not loading it nay ideas its loading part of it but not all
Make sure that you have the vehshare loaded in your Zmodeler and also make sure that your YTD is in the same folder as the YFT.

Make sure you are trying to drag it from a windows file folder, I dont believe CW will accept files directly from a winrar archive or something like that.

There is no XML file when i extract it how do i still edit it?
Please be sure you are using the correct Codewalker version.
When I try to import ydd into zm3, zm3 always displays "File is corrupted, data cannot be decompressed", and then I can't open ydd. Does this have anything to do with cloth in ydd?
Hi there, I have not seen this error personally before. Can you open the model in the model viewer in OpenIV or Codewalker?
Yes, I can open the model in these programs and view it. The problem is that I can't import this ydd into zm3. He indicated that the file was damaged and could not be imported.
I can't even open the ydr file in openiv and the attribute detail from ydr files says "compressed" Instead "resource version etc"
Ok, it appears your file may be encrypted or corrupted, I don' think there is any way to fix that!

i want to unlock a .ydr file, when im trying to export the xml it says "File entry wasn't a resource! (is it binary data?)" Do you have any ideas how to fix it? i have the codewalker30_dev46 version
Hi there, Is your file possibly encrypted somehow? If it comes from a FiveM resource it is likely encrypted and I don't know of any way to decrypt those at the moment. Could you tell me if you are able to view the file in OpenIV or Codewalker model viewer?

I need help with the files it says that the files are html files and I can’t open them on blender or the other one
Hi there, I am not sure what you are referring to. You should not get any HTML files as a result of this method, only XML. I also do not go over using Blender in this video either so I am not sure what your issue could be.
What I am saying is when I export the xml it is not opening as a xml file I did try this I zmoddler to. The file is Called a html and when I look at the file it has Microsoft edge as the opening source

I have an issue i am able to get the YFT unlocked, and the model opens up fine in zmoddler but before i do anything to the model, the models police lights mess up and either dont align anymore or are all over the place. Ive tested this without any changes, just unlocking does it. Any reason this would happen? Or how to prevent this?
I am not sure about this. Is it ELS or NON ELS?

If the files have FiveM Escrow this method will not work.

Unable to import file Texture file not found: C:\Users\UC\Pictures\unlocking hats\cowboy\stratton\Kuwu#0420\Kuwu#0420_spec.dds
Make sure to check if the texture is there, if it is it may be corrupted and you might need to re export it.

Try verifying your GTA5 files, it may be corrupted.
Mine car doesn’t come with the textures
Look for the YTD file and make sure you have that being imported.

Hey there, I don't really understant what you mean. This is not relating to resources, only YFT YDD or YDR files.
@@xthegreatjamesx i have a yft file, that can't be opened even with OpenIV because it doesn't have "resource" attribute.
@@crownzilla5911 Thanks for clarifying. I believe this file may be corrupted or encrypted if it isn't being recognized properly. Unless you have access to an unencrypted or uncorrupted variant of the file I don't think there is anything that can be done.

so i made a truck using some launcher leaks parts and stuff to put into my server to try and learn z modeler, i have no idea how to export it and get a ytd file for it so its fivem ready. is do you know what to do or know where i can find a tutorial? ive been looking for hours and cant find anything
To get a YTD you can create a blank one in openIV and import the textures from the Z3D project into it. To export textures from Z3D you must go to the texture browser and go from there.

So let’s say I paid for a subscription, and the assets I got from this subscription run out of if I don’t pay for it the next month. Would this work to have the assets without paying for them…. Just asking for a buddy..
If it's through FiveM or Tebex, this will not work with those files. They have a proprietary encryption system that I think has yet to be broken. Hope this helps.
They are through my keymaster as granted assets so, idk.@@xthegreatjamesx

When I try to import it, the Import button turns gray. I followed all the steps in the video but it's still basically locked.
Have you tried the method on a different file to see if it works? If not I suggest you try that to see if that model is somehow corrupted.
Hi , How to lock RPF files ?
RPF Files are not able to be locked in the conventional sense. They can be encrypted or corruped which will cause them to not open properly. Neither of those things can be fixed with this method.

@@HIHANGHOHENG378 I am not sure how to do that, however I would urge you to consider doing this as that makes it so people are not able to fix issues they may find or tweak it to their liking.
