Super nice! they are seat covers that go over the seat you have. If your padding is intact, you can staple them right over your existing seat material. I added some better foam. Thanks for the comment. Help me get over 50 subscribers!

Good morning Nathan! Thanks for the comment. I think you are the first to give an answer! Lol. I was a little presumptuous to think I would get much of a response with only 25 subscribers at the time. I truly appreciate all of the support subscribers, I think we are up to almost 50! I am trying get over 50 this weekend with some new videos. As far as your answer goes, it's not Ortega Hwy🙁 Mentone is much closer but not correct either. So, there is a small community in the valley between the camera and the fire. Some of the residents were watching from where we were after being evacuated.

Hello Don, I set up in a Caltrans stockpile yard right in between where the two mudslides were on 38. We were about 3.5 miles from the fire directly across the valley with Seven Oaks directly in between. There were actual residents of Seven Oaks watching from there after they were evacuated.

Hey JT, I was there within 30 minutes of the start. While I was about 3.5 miles across the valley, I could see that there were ground crews and aircraft on it already. I honestly can't see what else they could have done. I do understand the frustration. @clutchingtwolife

@@clutchingtwolife6466 yeah, maybe I'm completely naive but it seems like pummeling these fires when they first begin with 4-5 tanker aircraft might thwart their spread.

If it seemed like I was implying that you were naive, I apologize. It is a great question. I do know that yesterday was a perfect storm. The heat, combined with the wind, and two fires within 20 miles of each other, their resources were stretched. I appreciate your engagement.

There actually is a rapid response. When the first dispatch for a vegetation fire goes out, several aircraft are automatically ordered up. Pilots are literally sitting at the air base with their planes in San Bernardino waiting for calls so they can be up in the air within 5-10 minutes. Once on scene, air attack will asses and if necessary order up the VLAT's. (Very Large Air Tankers), those are the larger 737's, DC10,s & MD80's you see, they were in fact called to this fire. As they were starting to get a handle on this fire, the Parkview Fire broke out which posed a more immediate threat to life and property, so many of our aircraft were redirected to that fire. This allowed the Radford fire to become well-established, getting us to where we are today. Thanks to all the great work of everyone involved and a little help from mother nature, this will soon be a distant memory.

Isn't it! I get to ride through there several times a week since it is in my back yard. It is so tempting to just rip through there and I am sure I would get ten times the views but I respect my neighbors and I will only go so far for the views😂

This was ride was a complete surprise to me because I was told we were going to San Pedro! I was completely ill prepared with only one camera other than my phone. I really miss a great opportunity to put a great video together. Right place right time, not prepared.

As of today, HWY 38 is open! I have not had time to do a follow up video but thinking about taking a ride up today.
