I only ride fins that are white or near white colored, such as the Ci Dane large, Shapers Controller large light aqua color, Futures 3/2 and 3/2/1 2006 issue material which is buff 'clear-opaque' color,…. Soar fins also has white. Wade Goodal Captain white fins are slow not zingy but they may work fine at The Box as Wade used them at.

I keep seeing these WSL contests on my TH-cam feed… they all look like the same contest, I don’t know what qualifying organization they’re with, every now and then I’ll recognize a name like jet shilling, I will watch for about three minutes and then I’m bored and change it because they’re all the same

Ohh, Jamie O'. I'm never sure what to make of him beyond thinking he presents one thing online and behind the scenes he's something different, that what he really cares about is bizness, benjamins, and maybe fame? What does it say about a sport when the organization decides that it's best business option is to cut coverage of its most popular event? Where is the WSL investing all that ladder sponsorship money in order to grow the sport? Or have the billionaire backers become more interested in foiling and learning jujitsu? There's a financial term called 'death spiral'; here the business is cutting costs on promoting and displaying the crown jewell of the calendar. How does that reflect growth and success, current or future? 32:20 Scatt Bass on the WSL says, twice, "They have unlimited funding". Nobody has unlimited funding, not even the US Government these days. And nobody gets rich being casual with money except scammers like Adam Neumann (the Ziffs are rich because of their father and now the sons have been 'investors' through Ziff Bros. Investments for 30 years. You spend the money to get something back, always. And the 'unlimited money' can be directed at a pretty limitless number of options. Do we get the sense that the WSL and surfing are a passion projects for the Ziffs and what they really want is to give back, embrace the sub culture, and nurture the sport? Also, usually something beneficial for one group, will be negative for some other group, so North Shore residents might not be excited about lots of contests whereas Liam McNamara has a vested interest because he wants opportunity for his surfers. Apparently the Ziffs and their people weren't able to create a good working environment in Hawaii, which IS a huge, HUGE, failure on their part. For Hawaii it's more complicated in my mind because I wouldn't want a CS event near me, and lots of wealthy people live in hawaii, they have strong opinions and are used to complaining and operating in ways to get the results they want, NIMBY. How upset should I be that little Koanaoho didn't get a fair shot to be a competitive surfer and his islands surf heritage isn't being rightly honored and respected? Sucks for him, and for our own connection with the past and the pioneers, but there's a lot of injustice in the world. Take it from the man. 53:00 I totally agree with DLS on the potential for a pro surf tour. It was way more compelling in the past and more people are surfing than ever so why couldn't someone figure out a compelling format and grow it into something better than ever, and I know it has always had it's flaws. These days it should be way cheaper to cover it and do the live streams. Lots of individual content creators have great production quality. Scott Bass, to think the way he does, must believe all the past mis-steps and shambles of the WSL are inconsequential to the success or failure of their business, that the same thing would have happened regardless of who was running it. IMO. 1:01:00 Sea wall at Sloat, good discussion, the plant is right behind the parking lot across the Great Highway that fronts OB. There's been erosion problems there for years. SF is a city and county so they don't have a lot of location options, to the south for instance. Let's not pretend we don't fuck with 'nature' every day and I'll admit the seawall may turn into a fiasco or have really bad unforeseen consequences, like to all the houses right on the sandy cliff a few miles south of there. More interesting is what it will do to one of the main spots along Ocean Beach, seems like the potential is high for something that would create a consistent wave instead of all the shifty peaks?

The other day, when I opined about JOB being in the Pipe "Masters" my comment was solely based on his surfing -- he rides Pipe like a "Master." This back story doesn't surprise me. My sense of Jamie even from just his videos, makes this seem completely in character. His marketing acumen is unparalleled, but leaves a bitter after taste.

WSL has been in decline for over a decade. Dirk Ziff is an absent father who abandoned his defunct child, who still lives in the basement.

Glad you guys having fun in my country

Donald Takeyama was a great guy. I liked talking to him and he shaped several boards for me. He really like Joel. He was always talking to me about him. I just always like longboards and some of the short boards I had. But the style of longboard surfing was just to fine to be left on the back burner so to speak. Joel will always be the longboard guy to me.

I hope my country doesn't get full of purple hair woke liberals scaping from Trump because they will have go back after finding up that we are conservative people LOL.
