Billy MacKenzie Interview 1985
มุมมอง 55K14 ปีที่แล้ว
Billy interviewed by the non-smokin' Muriel Gray in 1985 on a short lived music show made for a scottish channel. Billy speaks about business problems with the release of "Perhaps", his thoughts on the relative value of chart success (or not) and playing at Ronnie Scotts. In the middle of the show there is a strange and prophetic astrology reading from the show's resident New Age astrologer who...

Looks like Noel Edmonds has already been to the Boston Tea Party in his bell bottoms! Bit of Scottish attitude and popular band at school.
The " Musical Jury " May be permanently undecided in terms of whether or not this is his finest achievement ? But because of the " Historical Context " I would state categorically that it is !!! From Adrian Browne 1965
Jeez how many basses did Chris Glen have?
Noel Edmonds is such a dweeb.
p*ss off with your smarmy comments Noel - Alex was a legend

Absolutely fantastic - is this still available as a CD ?
yes i am! one of the harvey band's finest moments.
The song played right at the start of the video is a wee unreleased tune which Michael Dempsey and Billy did called "The Isle of Dogs". I just edited a wee chunk of it in behind the credits. It seemed to fit the mood. Just drop me a wee message if you'd like a complete MP3 of it.
what is the song played in the very beginning? heard it a couple times before but failed to catch the name.
If she makes it here my friend satui12 might learn a thing or two!? lol

@robbiejobby38 Tom Doyle's "The Glamour Chase" would have benefited greatly from many things. While I think it was written with heart from a fellow Dundonian, journalist and fan... I think Mr Doyle's book was written quickly and at points is scant on detail and falls into a "Smash Hits" kinda style. Don't get me wrong - I'm glad Mr Doyle wrote the book and it certainly filled in a few gaps - but it left questions and glaring career "gap" years eg. "The Sidlaws Years". Aye a much missed man.
The more I see of Billy the more i like. He was incredible.
Regional telly programme, so this isn't as widely known as the Associates' Top of the Pops or Tube appearances, but it's every bit as good.
