Marsha's Prime Job
มุมมอง 26614 วันที่ผ่านมา
In this episode of Project Marsha we find out just how long this ol gal is during the block sanding process. This allows us to find any area that need a little more attention to things nice and straight. After making any needed repairs we lay on a couple more coats of 2K surface primer.

This is a story not only about a car but about a journey. Have you ever had that one car you let go and always wondered what happen to it? This is that car for me. The car feature in this video is the first car I began restoring at the young age of 14. Purchased by my father as a project between us it became the catalyst for my career as mechanic and eventually operating a restoration business ...

Repairing Hack Bodywork on Project Marsha
มุมมอง 1704 หลายเดือนก่อน
This episode we delve into to shoddy repairs previously done when Marsha had a replacement quarter panel installed many many years ago. It bottles the mind why someone wouldn't spend the extra hour of time to get things repositioned back where they should have been and make the correct repairs.
68 Cougar Trans Repairs
มุมมอง 474 หลายเดือนก่อน
Time to fix some leaks from this C4 transmission in the 1968 Mercury Cougar. I've never been a big Ford fan and mostly because I don't like their engineering and design. The process to remove the shifter shaft on this C4 is a prime example on how to over engineer a simple part. Follow along as we change out both the selector shaft and the kickdown shaft seals.

1968 Mercury Cougar Control Arm Failure!
I took my Fifth Avenue there one year. I had a great time, and Chrysler Dearest won a 2nd place trophy because he was one of two cars in the 1980s category.
Glad you enjoyed the show. Please come back out again . We've changed up the judging to participant judging.
@@allclassicsrestoration1430 I'll come when I can. 🤩
2:54 that slammed baby was the right height for Ashton, 7:21 understated thriller, nice paint! ... Looked like nice weather for a car show. Nice pick Ashton, I love the Purple too! Hope all is well Dave!
That couple take that cozy coupe with them to every show they go. That was long but fun day the Mooresville Mayhem video was shot later that same day. Happy Anniversary again buddy!
Ashton has good taste in cars 😃
He does indeed
Hey long time no see!
Hey there it has been a long time, hope all is well with you.
Awesome! Thanks!
Thanks for watching hope it helped.
Dave great job good info.👍 I’m 72and still climbing under cars and trucks like your self my easy but still at it . Good luck Dave
Thank for watching glad you enjoyed it!
Hell yeah 👍 sounds awesome
She moves out pretty good.
Marsha , Marsha, Marshall. Don't know what you get paid, but you sure are worth every penny and then some. Take care. ❤😂😂
The year was 1983, a half rack and a back seat night ride West Seattle to Portland. Pioneer speakers bumpin. The Firebird is a smooth rolling freeway ride. Memories.
Those firebird rear seats were a bit tight.
@@allclassicsrestoration1430 Perfect for two.
You ready to tackle my 71 Duster yet.. 😉
Shoot me an email with some pics to allclassicsrestoration@hotmail.com
It is hilarious. Tony says when he goes out he doesn't want to be bothered by people, but then he wears a UTG shirt to Moparty.
I don't thinnk he has anything else in his wardroab....lol
6:57! Love these types of shows. This is when cars were made from metal not recycled soda cans. Yes. Amazing. Say hi to Ashton for me. Hope you are doing well. ❤😂
Great point!
Thanks for taking us to the Moparty Dave
My pleasure
Missed it live checking it out
It's getting harder to find 1980-1986 F350 4x4 trucks, especially the 1980-1981 versions. Thanks for taking care of this one and sharing it with us.
Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed the series.
Great video. I have a 65 cutlass and im looking to move on to a chevelle. Super broke so it gonna probably be something i save from the crusher.
Save some money and buy the best car you can and save the aggivation.
Do you have a link for these headers?
Sorry i do not they were supplied by the customer, but i do believe they were Dynatech brand.
Great video Dave. I love seeing all those Chevys. 😊
Thanks 👍
Dave your lil mini me needs a mustache like yours
Give him another 10 years....lol
Thats the drag strip I go too
@@DBNR_cool I'm there once in a while
@@allclassicsrestoration1430 alright

Most were pretty rough. I might take a ride up to check them out next time i'm in Myrtle.
Nice job on Marsha's trunk Dave 😃
Thanks Jim!
Nice turnout, good variety of cars 😀
Yes it was!
I was there, wished you would have captured my car. Nice vid tho
Which car was yours? This was a little different than the C&C event i attend here in NC. If you don't get to the ones here a half hour early you can't find a spot.

@@cruiser1333 cool....I may have seen it I tried walking the lot a few times trying to get all the car but with people coming and going its not easy. Great little show tho.
Always up for a little car show! Nice weather too!
Tricia so wish you could have been there we had perfect weather that weekend.
Nice thumbnail shot.
guess she wasn't showing enough....not getting stellar views.
@@allclassicsrestoration1430 I mean. We can arrange for another 🤣

@@sixspeedsally you ever make your way down to the Charlotte NC area give me a shout.
The best of times!
Thanks for the tour of the beautiful automotive show. I enjoyed watching it😊
Glad you enjoyed it
Totally boring
Thanks for your opinion
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ya pan too fast across the fine iron..........................get a grip on reality........we need to see and enjoy the fine steel of old.......................
I hear ya brother! Unfortunately i'm playing the TH-cam game and majjority of peole have short attention spans. Average view time on this video is like 3.5 minutes. I could have made this video 30 minutes long but not many would watch the whole thing.
É diesel??
Gas engine 351M
Judt talking. No. Car
did you watch the whole video? there's plenty of video of the car, pics from when i first painted it, pics of it before being painted. You obviously have a short attention span and didn't get past the first 5 minutes.
And on top of that in the old warranty for Rusty Jones, it stated they will only cover or fix the areas that were coded by them if rust occurs.
Exactly! Thamks for watching.
I Love this story. I wish I could find my first car '69 SS 396 Hugger Orange Camaro..~Someday...
Phil this was totally unexpected I never thought I'd see this again let in exactly the same condition as when I last seen it. Thanks for watching.
Cool video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Great video Dave. Looking forward to seeing your car come together. 😃
Thanks Jim it'll take some time still but hopefully have it going in about a year.
This was sooo great! I'm stoked it's back in your hands, Dave!
Thanks Kevin.... it's something I never thought would happen.
I Love it!... Thanks for Sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
I love all the names on them..sooo boss!! Thanks for the video...
You are so welcome!
Just got a '70 Fury III 4 door and luckily it's pretty solid but I already know I'll be doing some Lizard Skin. Looking forward to seeing more updates! FYI I saw your comment on DDG live about the fury and decided to check you out.
Thanks for checking out my channel. I hadn't filmed much of the repairs on the passenger side of the car since its more or less a repeat of the drivers side. All the videos are on my channel and also at www.moparconnectionmagazine.com . Jamie is supposed to have me as guest soon on the Sunday live.
Dave, What year did auto manufactures switch to the modern R134a freon in new vehicles?
I believe the change over happen back in 1996.
Enjoyed!!!
Thanks for tuning in be sure to subscribe and hit the bell button.
Gassers have always been one of my favorite drag race classes. Thanks for sharing Dave. 😃
It's a great series they run over here once a month at different tracks.
Yes! The pre-assmbeld panels are absolute garbage! I hope more people see this so they wont be disappointed like my friends were with the 1st gen Camaro pieces they bought. I ended up removing the vinyl from the junk, and reusing the metal pieces from the original panels. It took days to do all four panels. Also, the felt pieces are just as bad. It seems all of the resto stuff is that way, it either needs reworked, or just thrown away. Garbage. I feel your pain, and i also absolutely refuse to do resto work on bid, no way.
Share share share....that'll get the video seen more. Thanks for wathcing.
I bought a 73 Trans Am back in 85. Regret letting it get away. I am working on a 67 SS Chevelle I bought in 70. Thanks for the video and for the information on Steele Rubber!
Glad to help with the info. I'll have a build on 67 Chevelle coming up sometime in the next year.
@@allclassicsrestoration1430 In your opinion, who makes the best interior components. Seat covers, door panels, carpet, etc.
Thanks for sharing. Love old cars
Glad you enjoyed
Cool color scheme! I have a 1980 F-150 ranger xlt standard. I taught my kids stick on it, and my lady loves the bench seat so she can sit close. Better than a console separator. 👍
Right on
Geez, my boy Ashton is going to in the front seat before we know it! Loved the Corvair and the Barracuda. Ol’ Ashton has the eye for hot rods! Thanks Dave, wishing you the best, hope all is well.
Bob I was noticing how much he's grown when he's looking at the cars, I only have to lift him up to see in the old trucks now.
Thanks for sharing Dave and Ashton. That Nova and the Corvair were my favorites.
Can you please tell me what "modifications" were done to the passenger side headers to make them fit! I have the same headers... and We cannot fit them in there!😢
I'll have to rewatch the video and try to jog my memory.
I belong to Marsha's green fraternal twin brother. 7:00 I assure you that it is NOT boring.
Thanks for following along, I'd love to see pics of Marsha's twin.
