The fan lore that Red was so good he actually suffered an existential crisis because nobody and nothing could challenge him anymore - so he went up to the mountain because he wanted to weaken himself so he could enjoy battling again is so fuckin metal. The only reason Gold won is because we the player were in control lol

I have to say, I was skeptical this cover could be good, cause never liked the original one. But hell yeah, u made the piece of shitty sound to a masterpiece of epicness. Probs on you.

Gen 4 was the last generation, in witch I enjoyed the music to this day. This cover of that ost ist just to good compare to the original. Brilliant work.

Sorry for not notifying about this upload. I just felt inspired this weekend and wanted to give my fav trainer battle theme a remake! :D

Okay let's be real Paul is a good trainer. Even if he was harsh his drive for strength was determined and calculated. Ash has always been too soft, we see this in how Charizard refused to listen to him. Paul had the right idea, Pokémon are far tougher than humans, and if Ash is any indication of how sturdy Humans are. Then Pokémon are nothing short of tanks to physical blows when said blows not coated in Type Energy (the glowing phenomenon that coats their limbs when using an attack.) Chimpchar was far too much of a bleeding heart, letting fear control it's actions. Paul in his own way was trying to rid Chimpchar of that fear by giving him something else to fear. Fearing failure is far better than fearing yourself and the power you hold. I despise the fact that Paul is represented as in the wrong. So I pose a simple question: "Do you truly love your Pokémon by shielding them from suffering what will make them stronger and better than they were before?" It's one thing if they don't want to fight. If they wish to fight and battle then denying them harsh conditions so they can improve and training them with kiddy gloves on will only hinder them. Ash as a person is great. But he sucks as a Pokémon trainer. Paul is better.

I just thought that is gonna be Paul battle theme but it was sinnoh trainer battle theme instead but What an amazing remix!

To this day I'm salty Paul lost. He did nothing wrong and only lost because of Infernape getting a power of friendship boost on top of his blaze.

Aside from granting you permission to access Route 28, his only guidance was warning you of the dangers along the way and offering a simple "good luck" in parting. Unable to grasp any meaning, you press on through the mountain's labyrinthine caverns. The Pokémon you've encountered along the way have provided ample opportunities to continue honing your craft. While not beyond your abilities, they've been challenging enough to keep you on your toes. But the journey has been long and the weather outside was unforgiving to begin with. Experience tells you that exhaustion will set in soon. If you're not careful, this mountain could become your tomb. While considering these factors, you come to a large room with what sounds like a high ceiling. This seems as good a place as any to stop and rest. You set down your bag, deciding that building a fire will be your next task. The light has been dim at best for the entire ascent but in here it seems a bit brighter. Still, you're barely able to see more than a few yards in front of you. On top of that, it's cold and damp, offering little in the ways of comfort. With light and warmth your highest priority, you reach to pluck your Typhlosion's ball from your hip and then freeze in place. You've felt it since the moment you entered this room. The odd sensation like a chill but with no wind. You couldn't place it though and just brushed it off, deciding to chalk it up as your body adjusting to a change in environment. But now that feeling seems to have been given form. Peering through the darkness, you can barely make out a silhouette standing still and silent. You can't be sure, but they appear to be looking straight at you. Or rather, it feels as if they are staring through your very being. Suddenly, Lance and the Professor's words begin to echo in your mind. Swallowing hard, you call out hoping to elicit some sort of response. Failing to notice the pokeball cradled in their palm, you receive your reply. "..."
