Koha feeds his horse friends
Off the boat for a little, we rented an apartment in Sardinia, Italy. Everyday we walked past these 2 horses who were always drawn straight to Koha. Today we took them some snacks!

One of the joys of sailing is you can go anywhere in the world on the ocean. The little one is getting a great life experience.
Yes, sailing definitely opens the world up having access to so many places not many people get to see. My husband and I both grew up on boats, so we are so grateful to be able to give our son a similar upbringing.
I know phuket well. This is not phuket. Not including beach breaks, most everything during the surf season are rights. This is a peeling left. Not buying it guys.
Why would I say it’s Phuket if it’s not? Doesn’t bother me if you don’t think so though! 😊

@@wholesoulhealing9103 Kata is more consistent but beach break . Karon has a reasonable wave in south corner . This is around Surin Beach .

Lost count how many times we pulled in there on the ships for bunkers, regrettably never had time to visit the top of rock, but did buy a load of duty free’s.
I am really surprised that the human vermin that have been cutting up even ships designated as war graves haven't butchered this sub yet. Hell has a special place for them and they have rightfully earned it!
We have kept the location private except to let the US Navy know

I'll be in phuket for 2 months May-June, I've been surfing in Kata and Kamala Beach but I'bve never seen this spot, could you please share it?
it is in Naiyang Beach, right in front of Marriott Resort to your left, you will see the little island there, the break is on the left side of that island. Works on high tide only.

My brother was a radioman on the Grayback, which was a sister ship of the Grenadier. It was located in June of 2019. There should be a data plaque bolted to the front of the conning tower. It gives name and construction site, plus other information. On your next dive, look for it. That will give positive I.D.....Grenadier SS210, Grayback SS208.. Good hunting!

We have quite a few beach breaks which are fairly popular and some reef breaks a bit more local 😊

Bali, and it's not even close. Much of the year in Phuket is flat.

Nias, western Indonesia, it is similar to Bali but with lesser people or surfers
Bali/Indo is another world with world class surf and waves 12 months of the year. Thailand limited to rainy season and surf inconsistent. Thailand is good for exercise value surfing.

The surf season has gone already 😢 Anyway, is close to the airport and it is quite hard to find a good surfing day in this place, even during the monsoon season 🤙

Hi Mark, that’s so interesting! Sorry I only saw your message now. We have had quite a few family members of the crew come forward and tell their story. We would love to hear your grandfathers if you remember any details. We hope to return to the Grenadier next year
@@Coconutadventures1 The boat was dive-bombed by the Japanese. One of the bombs hit close enough to bend the propeller shaft and bent it. They were dead in the water. They could only go up or down. Thay fought it out with the enemy until they ran out of ammunition. The only thing they could do was skutil the boat and surrender.
