@@Sketchybackyardtrails thanks man ! Can’t wait for the next race
I have the 2021 model (115 in the rear-120 up front) and personally think it's the perfect mix for XC/Trail. I live on Long Island ,NY. So it's not crazy mountain trails but technical trails squished in a small area.
@@macdaddy1617 it’s been the perfect “do it all” bike for us - love it
You mentioned it was 28 lbs. What size frame ?

I’ve raced here for around 3 Years so far, and it’s definitely a fun race. You summarized pretty much everything about the venue really well!

For anyone in the DC/VA/MD area looking for trails or frequent group rides check out the more-mtb/events page. Over a dozen rides each week and a great way to explore new trails. This must be one of the most active clubs in the nation. One of the MORE founders (Ted) checking in from Moab.
So I just bought my first bike today, along with my sons, would it be worth going here soon or should we wait a while?
@@Dfris probably better the get used to MTB at an easier trail system like Crabtree or harris lake and then progress up to this
So how narly is Reddish Knob? Have been wanting to try it but don’t know if my skills are there yet
Watch my other video of Timber Ridge to Wolf Ridge. The upper section is pretty rowdy with some high speed ridge sections and a pretty nasty rock garden near the top but I wouldn't say its an expert trail. The only thing to remember is its relatively remote with no cell service so help isn't close.
It’s all fun and games until you cross thread the cap😅
@@samjensen7006 this will come as no shock to any one who knows me ….. that’s NOT the first time its happened 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

Cassette tape? 🤔 thats the only time I've ever heard that word used

Hey FoCo, did this on Saturday as an addition to the Lookout Mountain trail. Made it a much fuller day and Grindstone was really fun so thanks so much for the tip! To return the kudos have you ever done Heartbreak Ridge near Old Fort in NC? HIGHLY recommend that in combo with Kitsuma - one of the best rides I've ever done (a company in Old Fort do a reasonably priced shuttle that is well worth it).
@@wayneemslie8904 awesome - glad you got it done! I’ve done Kitsuma a few times over the year but haven’t carved out the time to do HBR … it’s DEFINITELY on my to do list
I have it, going up hill is great but flat out sucks, too slow for me

had a 2.6" Agarro in the front, switched to a maxxis dhr 2.6 maxxgrip. Didn't notice at all the increase in grip, did notice how sluggish they were. The sidewalls were stiffer but didn't conform to corners well which meant I would burp the tire in corners with low pressures. Disappointing, after seeing this, maybe I'll just buy the Mazza 2.6 and leave the Agarro in the back, let's see how it goes.
Yea, Mazza front and back felt a lot like DHFs front and back. I liked the grip a lot but then both ended up with weird pitch flats and so I moved on to Continental Kryptotal and Xytonals. Perfect grip combo but both have had weird "maxxis wobble" issues. Didn't take the time to get film footage for a review video on those. I've got my eye on the brand new Schwalbe Albert Radials next as soon as they are availab.e
