Grain Based Cloth Tearing R&D - PBD (HIP Files)
Get the HIP Files: payhip.com/b/Hfyrb
-
Watch the tutorial for how this was made: www.cgcircuit.com/tutorial/pbd-cloth-tearing-in-houdini
-
A cloth tearing simulation made with the grains solver using Houdini 16.5.
The main challenge was actually meshing the torn up wires converting them into actual cloth geometry. Took some time and frustration but finally got it to work.

Flowing Lava R&D - (HIP Files)
มุมมอง 4321 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
(Watch until the end, there are 2 shots) - I always wanted to create that type of flowing lava that seems to be emerging from the inside. Turns out, it's easier than I thought! Had so much fun working on these 2 scenes! - HIP Files: payhip.com/b/BITut - Originally Uploaded on 4 Aug 2020 at 18:24
Vellum Grains Meets A Metal Ball - (HIP File)
มุมมอง 3621 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
I wanted to make a ball hit something in like a cool slo-mo way. So I decided to start with grains! A mix of wet/dry grains added a variation of weight and behavior that I liked! I think I'll keep hitting balls into stuff :) next up... water! - Get the Hip File: payhip.com/b/fBZoO - Originally Uploaded on 9 Apr 2020 at 19:41
Gasoline Fire Spread R&D - (HIP File)
มุมมอง 185วันที่ผ่านมา
Wanted to make a small-ish scale type fire where I ignite some gasoline and have some of the fuel to drip down. No custom fields or even micro solvers were used. Glow added in Nuke. - Get the HIP File: payhip.com/b/bKscv - Originally Uploaded on 29 Jul 2019 at 15:31
Houdini Cloud Timelapse R&D - (HIP File)
มุมมอง 108วันที่ผ่านมา
An attempt at creating a cloud time-lapse using Houdini's pyro solver. Tweaking the shape of the source was vital in this case. Although there's a lot to improve, I'm happy with the result. - Get the HIP File: payhip.com/b/O7BDK - Originally Uploaded on 16 Feb 2019 at 12:33
Fire Behavior and Shader R&D - (HIP File)
มุมมอง 118วันที่ผ่านมา
A fire simulation made with pyro solver using Houdini 17. No custom fields, a couple of custom micro solvers, and lots of lookup ramps in the shader. Glow added in post using Nuke. - Get the HIP File: payhip.com/b/Qsjzk - Originally Uploaded on 5 Jul 2019 at 19:53
Vellum Grains Research and Development - (HIP Files)
มุมมอง 31วันที่ผ่านมา
A couple of grains simulations using the Vellum solver. Playing around with custom clumping to develop some interesting sand and mud looks. - Get the HIP Files: payhip.com/b/rRQUo - Originally Uploaded on 3 Dec 2018 at 14:26
Post Sim Coloured Smoke - (HIP Files)
มุมมอง 22วันที่ผ่านมา
Two different setups to give smoke sims multiple colours at render time without having to rely on the Cd field. The first is based on the velocity field in which case the smoke is coloured based on an artist-controlled velocity threshold. The second is using the rest fields to set the colours and let them stick to the smoke and move along with it. - Get the HIP Files: payhip.com/b/HN06Y - Origi...
Melting Canvas - (HIP File)
มุมมอง 95วันที่ผ่านมา
Built a setup which extracts the colors of an image and has them drive the temperature attribute in a lava simulation resulting in a simulation that represents the image exactly and an interesting look and colors (that were converted to blackbody emission at render time). - HIP File: payhip.com/b/wJD87 - Houdini - Mantra Sim time: 12 hours Render time : 3 days - Specs: - CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) C...

Yo
Incredible....looking at details....
Very impressive! Love the motion
nice
Super cool, you should add some music or sound
You’ve been absolutely killing it!! This channel deserves millions of views! All houdini artists on youtube are what inspire me to keep learning houdini!
@@Jrm5814 thank you so much 🙏 keep learning that beast of a program. It’s so worth it to put up with its bullshit.
What particle size separation did you use, thank you very much for the file.
Nooo idea, this was originally done in 2017, you can find out in the hip file though! I can’t check it out atm.
@@bishoykhalifa I see that it is 0.05, but it doesn't look with the same resolution as the video, it looks with less resolution, that's why the question.
@@traficolibredeconocimiento5698 Oh that's weird! It should give you the same res, I'll check when I have some time. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
@@traficolibredeconocimiento5698 You most likely have to remake the project partly from scratch, 2017 was houdini 17 and A LOT has changed since then, sometimes when I go back to my houdini 17 projects to grab some setups I need in my new projects at work I have to sometimes remake the setups. Things have changed under the hood so it might look off with new versions of houdini. Just copy paste all settings to the new nodes
Super inspiring man! Great work!
Okay what the f 😮😮 for a sec i thought its real 😂❤❤❤❤❤
Please lend me your mind 😢😂❤
♥
I know someone who has this as his BG! :))
Incredible work man!
😎😎👍👍 your reel is super amazing dude batter than big studios
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Impressive ❤
I really enjoy watching your work
Amazing!!
Hi Bishoy. Cool work and thank you for the breakdown. What would you do, if you have a sand bank like that and then an object falling into it. The object is rigid but needs to be affected by gravity/other forces and needs to interract with the sand and being held back by the sand
What is your pc spec?
This is Awesome bro
woooooooooooooow <3
Incredible !
The lighting is phenomenal.
pliz tutorial
Нравится, что уютно) Симуляция локальная, но ситуация в которой она происходит - уютная, из за света и композиции
Houdini is the best!
Tutorial??
Looks awesome 🔥🤩
awesome bro!! how mach ram did you use for this ? thanks!!!!
Mantra? shader is on point :)
oof that glow is giving me chills
Ohh that lighting tho 👌
Just got this recommended to me on my main page and I love it! Looks incredibly good. Did you render in Mantra or Karma or something else?
Thanks! I rendered in Mantra.
beautiful!
I can't stop watching this! It's just so tidy. Love the curls. Curious to know the voxel size and cache memory
WOW😍😍
