Love the video and content, but why do TH-camrs want to put loud annoying music behind their content.. ???
Hi. Thank you. Over the last dozen or so videos I have lowered the music. It’s a learning curve. I do agree most or too loud you can’t hear the voice. Not sure why
Great video, thank you!
Thank you
Another good one Joe, don't give up! JIM 🥰
Thank you. I plan on making more. It’s my passion
We took a field trip there when I was in 5th grade. That was somewhere around 1985. It was very cool.
thanks, very interesting.
Very nice video ❤
Thank you. It’s my retirement hobby
The dinner of the rich "lasted two hours" as compared to the starving ten minutes of the poor that made the rich rich. People that admire this stuff need to remember the suffering of the workers and of fleeing of the public that were overcharged for everything. But that wasn't enough. To keep the growing middle class in check, the barons invented the Central Bank so as to introduce the concept of the Income Tax, thereby recover at least some of the salary that the rich believed the workers did not deserve. This is what really happened. And people that refuse to believe it are helping the demons everyday.

Well done video! Thanks!
Thank you
A big home that still feels small inside. Instead of a minimalist cold echo chamber , these people knew how to live
Thanks for your comment. Yes. It was big but homey.
the romanian women that hangout at cotswald cottage are prostitutes that hang out with knute wales
Thank you for creating this video. It's been a long time since I've toured the mansion, they didn't have all the rooms completed at that time. It looks beautiful, and the Christmas decorations make it a very special place to tour during the holidays.
Thank you. I’m from Chicago so I visit every few years. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Joe
What an amazing video. I work at crossroads you did an amazing job covering our history thank you!
Thank you
Heartbreaking, he was so devastated that he had to walk away. Such a love story, that when it was restored, my own heart breaks for how lovely life might have been if tragedy hadn’t interfered. Perfect architecture and cozy at the same time, this must be a real treat to have seen firsthand.
Been here many times, sometimes two or three times a year. Went in December of 2023 first time in almost two decades and was SO HAPPY to see it was still the same and not ‘modernized’ like so many places. Thank you! Booked the village/train ride and Christmas buffet for 12-26-24. Can’t wait.
Visited today loved it
LET me tell you something ..Henry would be rolling in his grave..the new guard does not care about making cars anymore. Only overpriced trucks and SUVS
Another WOW; I've been there twice. If you were to give people advice when visiting Greenfield village; tell them to go to the model T ride; otherwise along wait.
Another WOW video; Watching your older videos and seeing that the comments were turned off; Did you turn them off because of challenged facts & religious references? If so, I don't blame you. Thanks
Canyon Lands NP again in 1997 trip. Of all the NPs in Utah, Canyon Lands is my favorite. We got to witness a minor flash flood on a perfectly sunny day. Inquiring back at the Center; we were told that we witnessed something that only 10% of visitors see. The size of the Park means you rarely see any one else when you hike. Again WOW & Thanks
No one does this better, at least for me. Was here in 1997 with my Wife who would not get up at 5AM to drive into Arches (for free) to watch the Sun Rise. First hint that this was not going to last. Lasted 'til 1999. I would have liked to see the full version. Could you re-post it? Again WOW & Thanks.
I shoulda went there in 2006. Again WOW Thanks
Me again and again WOW; I was also here in 2006. Accept for the name, it looks so different. They did not run along the Fox River, I would have remembered that. No boarding platforms of ramps. I need to go back. Thanks
Again WOW; Your videos are PBS documentary quality. In my last comment on Huckleberry Museum I said I visited in2009 no, it was 2006 and here also. Hesston Steam has gotten better too. Thanks again.
This is amazing and a great video. Henry Ford loved his labor force to the point where they didn't even need a Union for a long time. It was good times working for Ford, unless you were a Jew. Henry Ford had a weakly paper in Dearborn Michigan that talked about Jews and how much he hated them. Shows that even the greatest of men have flaws.
4:28, cool, a Fokker airplane from my country 🇳🇱
This should not be opened to the public I was there and I talked to quite a lot of spirts I conversed with the famous Al Capone and so much more there was a story about the dog that killed the warden dog the dog brushed against my legs I went to the barber shop and saw two barbers then my camera man got and important call and had to go emeaditly so I had to go to I don't drive I tried something different when I left I told the sports they can follow me home well the second night home they made a visit I talked to two of them my girl friend showed me the prison dirt on my porch it worked but im gifted so it doesn't matter to me I live alone
When we wuz Kangz - White Henry Ford
I'd love to visit, but isnt there a muslim majority population in that area? Is it safe to visit there?
Just as safe as anywhere else.....
My grandfather lived in a Muslim neighborhood (started off as Polish but then Arabs, Chaldeans, Muslims moved in). It’s fine. I’ve worn shorts and ate pork in Dearborn.
@@skn9895 it fine just take the Southfield freeway south bound to exit 5 or 6 and the museum and the village are right there around the corner from the exit that's the safest way I know to get there
Extremely safe with fantastic restaurants
It's totally safe. I have a membership that I've had since 1999.
That’s not a swimming pool it’s a reservoir for the elevator.
What elevator? Why would an elevator need a reservoir? Yes. I have heard that many times. I’m happy you saw the video. Joe
Beautiful 😊
I visited this place int he early 1980's, at the time not much work had been completed, nice to see the progress, we should never lose these old buildings and our history.
Outstanding video!❤
Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed it
I was there September 2019….and I must say, the work they’ve done is incredible. The stained glass dome in the main house was manufactured in Syracuse. It’s a wonderful place to photograph, and the boat ride over is relaxing. 😊❤❤
Imagine growing up in these huge mansions with servants. The very wealthy people in the 20,30,40’s knew how to build, design and live an over the top life.
We visited Boldt Castle many years ago. The only room that was finished was the dining room. Since most of the castle was never finished to begin with, we weren't allowed to just wander around inside the building because we were told it was too dangerous. It was a guided tour. At the time, there was some question as to whether or not it would ever be finished because of the high cost. I am so happy to see that it has been restored and finished to what it was intended to be. So beautiful.
There is a reason why they close the museum and village at 5:00 every day. otherwise I would buy a membership and never leave. I would find a tree to sleep in at night if it rains or gets to cold I will sleep in one of the horse barns and go to stand 44 for breakfast lunch and the Eagle tavern for dinner and hit the custard stand at 9:00p.m. for disert.
As an avid goer if this place, I'd be right there with you
The Fox River Trolley Museum has an enviable collection..
Yes it does
Thanks for the video, I hope to visit soon. I see it frequently passing by on the Fox River trail.
Awesome video..! Million thanks for sharing..
This was beautifully presented. The most well decorated and tasteful home of the period I’ve ever seen. What a treat! Thanks.
@@jamesallison4875 thank you. I’m happy you enjoyed it. These films are my retirement hobby
Amazing Content
Thank you
Just beautiful there, thank you! I would like to mention that the estate is pronounced HEW- IT. And their name is pronounced CYBERLING. The last time I was there, their daughter was still living above the guest house, and was over 100 years old-- I can't remember exactly, but I seem to remember she was either 107 or 102! I was thinking 107. I will have to look it up. Gorgeous home, take the tour if you ever get the chance.
I enjoyed your vid. Thank you.
Thanks. I’m glad you enjoyed it
Visited as a kid in the 1980’s and it was amazing and beautiful then, even in disrepair. So great to see so much progress on it. One of the best times with my parents.
I’m happy you enjoyed it. It’s my retirement hobby
I toured the breaker mansion in Newport Rhode Island
Had a school trip here in early 60s and i remember thinking it was so sad it never was finished. We were told his wife died in a boating accident on the rocks below the castle on a trip to see how construction was going and that's why george never returned.
Yes. A sad story. Thanks for your comment
Also Mr. Sieberling's name is pronounced "CYBERling". My wife's biological fathers family lived in Akron from the mid-twenties until 1999. Her paternal grandfather worked for Good Year for 35 years, her grandmother did a World War II defense job at the plant, making parts for aircraft. She made parts that went into the "Enola Gay" that dropped the bombs on Japan. Her father, after serving in the airforce, earned his journeyman maintenance electricians card at Good Year. My father-law used to have to change all the lights on the top of the blimp hanger when my wife was a baby. He went on to get his master maintenance electricians card at GMAC Lordstown and retired from there in 1998.
The name is pronounced "Stan HUGHet" Lovely place and breath-taking gardens, according to my wife. Her paternal grandmother did laundry for Mrs. Seiberling while the hall was being built.
Thank you. I’m happy you enjoyed it
