The 470 Railroad Club: The Boston and Maine Reunion
2024 was a major year for railroad preservation. Many locomotive projects being announced and many locomotives being completed. One project that was highly sought after by railman's in the New England region was Boston and Maine #1741. 1741 had been absorbed by the Guilford railroad, and then donated to the Conway Scenic when the Pan Am railroad had retired her. The 470 club took on the project of restoring the 1741, and in mid-late 2024, she was fired up for the first time. Come November 2nd, the 470 club ran their annual "470 Notch Train" between Conway and Fabyan's. The 1741 would pull the train South to Conway, and then sandwiched in between the 470's two F7's #4266 and #4268. The trio would haul the train along the former Maine Central's "Mountain Division." Lets follow these classy diesels as they traverse some of the most immaculate scenery in the New England region

Reading and Northern 2102: Thunder in the Poconos
มุมมอง 2.5K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
The sound of thunder echos through the valleys of the Pocono mountains, but there's not a storm cloud in the sky. The thunder comes from the ground, more specifically, from the loudest steam locomotive East of the Mississippi river. Reading and Northern #2102 is alive and roaming the rails of the RBMN's vast system of railroad once again in 2024. This time, she makes her way North of the Nesque...

We have a hobby shop here in Rhode Island in the Apponoag section of Warwick. Every day at 12 noon, the owner of the shop blows their Hancock Air Whistle. It always sounds so cool 😎
Has anybody seen Next Stop Christmas (A Hallmark christmas movie that this locomotive was seen in)?
Use Conway 216 in sunset
First time seeing this but that hancock air whistle is a total thumbs down! Where in the hell are the K5LA's? They're right there!
Great catches awesome chase and nice video
Whistle in diesel train...? I dont think they call a horn a "whistle" also
Air whistles exist
Great Video!! Love that you got My Son and I in your shot at Nesquehoning Station. Nice work!
WOW! That's the most perfect video of 2102 and ANY OTHER train I've ever seen. Perfect engine, sounds, Fall colors, long, red train and great action. I'll be watching this one over and over for a long time. Many thanks for your excellent production!
Great
6:00 great shot on the bridge there.
Real good stuff!
That boiler on the flat car is that 9 old boiler or is that boiler belong to 10?
I've watched a lot of 2102 videos and this is by far the best one. Great shots and the audio is incredible. Great production!
Great shots man, looked like a fun chase!
Very well done!
Love the audio, right in your ear. Powerful Video as well. Great job.
*6:56* Got that same shot at Black Oak Curve this past Saturday.
Cool 😎
Love the tracking fog shot at 4:45
Cool 😎
I wonder if the R&N could offer future Locomotive cab rides from Jim Thorpe to Tunkhannock one day?
Oh how I miss good old stack talk! A beautiful video of a pretty lady doing what she was built to do! At 86, I have fond memories of the sounds of steam in the Mon Valley in Morgantown, WV, in the 1940's. ❤😂🎉
Sweet
Amazing little engine and some very nice equipment. You certainly went to some pains with all this. The pipe was a fine touch.
That was some video! Great editing! R&N sure knows how to put on a show!
Amazing footage! I've watched you for many years now. This, in my opinion, has to be one of your best videos yet! Everything about this is executed beautifully and very compositional. Keep up with the awesome storytelling! 👏
Track gauge 2 ft (610 mm)
Very fun to see the working 30s railroad in action!
🚂👍🇵🇱😁
Very cool, how can you not have a nice memory aboard a stream train..
13:50 Geronimo waiting for the iron horse carriage.
I wouldn’t have minded be a prop passenger on the train.😉
Thank you for this recreation.Brought back memories of reading about this engine from Railroad magazine in the 1950 time when it was privately owned and stored in a garage. Made several trips to Main to see some of the 2 footers.
I have been through Wiscasset at least 36 times and never saw a train.
Keep on chooching!
love it
Excellant footage! Can't wait for January!
@@SouthernKansasRailfan couldn’t agree more!!! congrats again on joining the dynamo team!
@@ConnecticutRailFilms Thanks! It's been a long journey, and this is only the beginning, but having friends along side makes the hardships that much easier!
Nice video, showing a 1930's local freight train. How would the farmer in the pickup truck get charged for the coal? There aren't any scales, so it must be by the shovelful.
Nice ! 👍
A handsome little train but the 1930s reenactment was not helped by the modern wrist watches and eyeglasses!
We'd rather be safe and able to see than be 110% accurate when it comes to wearing glasses
Very Nice!
Great to be a part of this! I wasn't there for the night running, but the footage is spectacular
Nice video. Super
Great video as always! Love this little railroad
4:37 why does this look Lionel/toy/miniature
Very nice footage of the charter - glad you could join us, and hoping to see you on many more charters to come.
Will you guys be uploading a video aswell?
@@therailfanman2078they chartered the event, so I’d say so.
Cool 😎
What type of camera do you use?
Nice video. I went there too! But my camera is having trouble exporting so it will be a little late lol
