Suntour Raidon Mountain Bike Fork Travel Adjustment
มุมมอง 6Kปีที่แล้ว
Travel Adjustment of a SR Suntour Raidon 32mm Air Fork I received from the Suntour upgrade program. The fork is intended to replace the SR Suntour XCT that came on my Giant Talon. Mistakes were made. At first I end up actually reducing the travel from 100mm to 80mm and have to redo it to achieve the 120mm travel I was looking for.

Is it a 4.6 or a diesel
@@quantrellbishop9263 This one is a 4.0
Nut was sealed with locktight, so had to soak in acetate to break the seal
Shits on any v6 "Turbo" out there😂😂😂
Awsome. Thank you! Will probably be doing this down the road if needed.
What engine
4.2L Rover V8
What about 5litre ?
why all of a sudden am I having a screen timeout? How do you change it?
I drive my 68hp 12j everyday. It’s slow
Amis....
Thanks for your explanation. I have exactly the same problem. Torquing up the 24mm nut presses the mudshield hard against the diff. Backing it off a bit is not ideal, it is fine whilst accelerating but "moans" on overrun. I'm in the UK, but don't know how to order a different part with the same ref number. I may try to install the mudshield off the original flange, #1 in your set, if it will fit. Otherwise I'll not have a mudshield. Don't like to get muddy anyway!
I've been using my Puma on my offroad rig now for 14 years. It has never skipped a beat. These are one of the most overlooked options for compressors out there. I have friends with ARBs that have already replaced them at twice the price of a Puma. That effectively makes the ARB 4X the price, and no air tank included. I just bought a second Puma for another rig, I need to do a side by side with an ARB twin because my subject feel is that they are a lot closer in performance than the claimed specs would indicate
I hear something bad in that drive train. Flex plate, torque converter...?
Try that with a 40 year old EV!
Great stuff - wot they are supposed to do - round here they just get a fortune spent on them and polished Sunday's 🙄
My raidon boost 32 do not have adjuster holes?why is that?
its just a different fork, not all forks have adjusted travel
'PromoSM' 👊
Nice Vehicle. Looks like a lot of fun. I have a 1963 109 and a 1970 88.
¿Cómo se pueden ver todos los demás vídeos como este? Me los quiero guardar en una una lista que tengo para "cuñaos", jajaja. 😜
I love your pickup cab and tray setup. I have aspirations of doing a tray on my disco project.
Are these LS swaps?
Rover V8s. 4.0L and 4.2L
@@mkoutdoor awesome! 😎
Had one of those :)
I put a 2.5 n/a in my series 3, it was fantastic. 750’s and and overdrive made for relaxed driving on the motorway.
Good vid Ty
Thanks for Watching

What a beast
Sounds like a Transit 2.5 DI engine.
Does one need a permit for beach trails in Rhode Island?
yes, I believe the permit is available as either a 3 day or year long
What size punch do you have ?
Where can I get that pressure gauge?
Rhino USA Digital Tire Inflator with Pressure Gauge (0-200 PSI) - ANSI B40.7 Accurate, Large 2" Easy Read Glow Dial, Premium Braided Hose, Solid Brass Hardware, Best for Any Car, Truck, Motorcycle, RV a.co/d/7Ww2r5i
Thanks, dude!
Thanks for this, I have the exact same forks except matte black.
This fork has been a huge improvement over the stock XCT that came on the bike. Thanks for watching!

Working building pretty much the same - but I'm gonna try keep the tray as low as possible - that aside, nice vid, great build.
Yeah the tray is a bit high. The original plan was to allow for the fitment of a spare tire between the frame and the tray but the fuel tank ended up in that location for now
Hi, may i know the length of your tray back frame? I am trying to build something similar. Many thx
The length is 62" and the width is 2" wider that the cab on each side.
Very cool thanks for sharing. If I ever mop out the rear of the disco. I like to think I’d come up with something similar
I have the PD1006 for over 10 years now and love it. Great review!
Thanks. It's a great compressor.
How'd you torque yours back up?
with the wheels on the ground and the diff installed it is possible to get a torque wrench on the pinion nut. otherwise I haven't had much issues using an impact gun to put the nut on (although not advised)
@@mkoutdoor cheers, struggled like hell to torque mine up to 130nm
Very nice 😏👍🏾
Thanks
Guys, if you are heading to Mabell (Jeep Eater), please stay on the trail. Do not go in the mud hole near the beginning, and do not go past the plateau at the top. This is one of the few remaining public properties open to us in Massachusetts. Please respect the trail and the town that allows us access. Thank you, and happy wheeling!
Looks like they were bombing through that mud hole full force
where is the software located? Thanks

@@mkoutdoor thanks. I downloaded the cps. Looks like there’s a setting that allows programming ham channels. Not sure about transmit. Ordered one anyway. I’ll report the results. 73.

She sounds eager. More lively than my 4.0 disco for sure. I’m in CT hopefully we’ll bump into each other on the trail. I love to see someone else up our way using a rover as it was intended.
Great to see the old IIA clawing her way through the soup. Love those old things, tough as nails.
Thanks for subscribing to me. So I subscribed to you. I have two of those 520pro xl. and they work great. The 520 is great rugged great for off road. swings to about 12-15 watts with modulation out of the box. I look forward to watching your videos.
Falsche Reifen ! Michelin XZL dann wär das nicht passiert
Tyre choice is paramount. A decent set of knobblies will get and old landie though a lot more than the latest Defender on slicks.
Why running a Defender on slicks?
