What I’m most excited for is the music when fighting the monsters, the charge blade being more badass, and the awesome final boss monster that monster hunter series is known for. I hope they let use have a boss fight like zoromagnaros.

I really adore the themes, tone, and overall story of ds2. The devs really understand what the vision for ds1 was and expanded on it incredibly well. It's genuinely a beautiful work of art in my eyes

Then, playing the game is like: "Oh, Jesus Crist, the character is soooooo slow. I have an delay if I just walk and then walk backwards. Bluh, I need more souls to upgrade my ADP, AAAA stupid I-Frames Idea, Again I'm being hitted by enemies because of that bad idea." In my playthroughs of Dark Souls 2, I always feel like I'm not enjoying it and that I'm just dragging myself to keep playing the game. Man, I tried to give it a chance like you said, but I just can't. I feel much better replaying Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring than forcing myself to play Dark Souls 2.

Dark souls 2 is the worst dark souls. However, it is my favorite dark souls. Unfortunately, DS1 is Iconic, and 3 is the cleanest experience. Therefore, 2 is an ugly duck by the nature of it. However, that also gives it its own room to be its own, beautiful thing. DS3 jerks itself off to 1. And 1's second half is infamous.

It was my last of the 7 souls games and im telling you ds2 is amazing. I must admit the first 2 hours in forest of fallen giants i really hate. Def my least favourite part of the entire game just because the amount of enemies you habe to fight without any i frames. Once you upgrade adaptability stat, the game is excellent

Unfortunately most people are sheep and just go along with what the tribe tells them to and the instinct is to attack anyone the deviates from the group think. This game is bad because “That’s what everyone says” and thus wasn’t even given a chance by most players who weren’t Demon’s souls and Dark Soul’s die hards. It’s different from DS1, but I found that a good thing. It’s a great game and is well worth the time and money.

Dark souls 2 is my favorite out of the series. A lot of the experimental ideas hit really well, and the stage design was peak in my opinion. I really really love the lighting in the game, the contrast between lights and darks, and the ability to remove enemies from the map by killing them enough times. The game's plot was loosely tied into the degeneration of your character's memories and identity, so being able to use ascetics to re-spawn things and being able to remove them was interesting in that context. it was like your character waded through memories and reality at the same time story wise. Also the DLC was pretty good overall.

I love darksouls 2 as this was actually my first souls game. this is the game that introduced me to the genre. hence this game will always have a spot in my heart.

I want to see fully customizable human & wyverian follower creation, where we can also teach them skills, armor them, and give them weapons, have them hunt with us, and even share them with other gamers.

Ds2 was my first souls game, so i was always dissapointed everytime i got to ng+ in the other games and nothing changed. Such a shame they havent replicated that. Its my favorite in the series, and I've put hundreds of hours into all of the games. Ds2, Ds3, BB, Sekiro, ER, Ds1, Dsl. Thats the order and im stickin to it.

The phaross stone it's not the same as the stone sword, the first don't let ypu know what is going to happen(half of them are useless) the second at least let you watch what is going to happen and all them are pretty useful

It's a great game but it needs more fragrant branches, pharaoh stones and durable weapons.

I started in Demons and this was my favourite title It introduced arenas ( which is what real PvPers should be using, And that specifically, I find is criminally underrated… ) and the change to core game mechanics made it different Dark Souls 2 is the game i would play, If i knew it was the last one i could ever play

How did you manage to aggro soo many enemies???

I low-key hope they start dropping ds games like they do with cod games. The only complaints I have about the game is not being able to fully control attack dir after starting the chain and some placement of the areas and enemies. If i could control my hits better the amount of enemies wouldn't matter that much so i accepted it and just learned how to deal with them. Most annoying part of the game for me was the frog demon of song This time but only cause it was one shot kill for me. I could make the fight super easy if i respeced but i wanted to suffer a little run to him was super easy this time 😅

I prefer to use lifegems especially in boss fights. I don't block so i need to pace the fights and being on the move is key unless you want to get hit

You don't realize how many quality of life changes DS2 made to the Soulsborne series but i wish Fromsoft could have kept bonfire ascetics in future games. Its nice being able to refight bosses or get items you can only get in ng+ without actually going into ng+ right away.

DS2 is about the curse. Only the curse. How it works in realtime. That's why the NPCs are so scared of losing themselves. Hollowing is the thread. From the intro to vendrick. Also, the abyss from Nashandra to each other aspects in the dlc. It's more of a "personal" story. Like a fever dream. Just like how our protagonist is suffering. He is fighting to remember his loved ones. As the intro makes clear. And besides, I believe this has been deemed canon. By Miyazaki
