Such a great song, her vocals are great.
“On a gap ad” I literally love this bit haha I must’ve been a kid when this interview came out 😂
this setlist was like a big fuck you to this show god just so much respect
this video is a hidden gem. their style is timeless
Only S/K sounds like S/K....great sound....
“Music Journalism” meets her worst enemy. SLeater Kinney!
This interviewer is a stiff. Speaking of stiff, I'd like to make FLIPPY FLOPPY with Janet.
Babies
with your music, does the songs come first? Duh1 WHERE did this host come from?
I thought the interviewer was fine: her questions got interesting, informative answers out of the band and she didn't make it all about her, or suck up overly. It's a hard balance as an interviewer asking questions for people who may never have heard of them but equally for diehard fans. And it will be diehard fans commenting on this interview.
I love the subtle "seize the means of production" at 3:20
18 years ago to the day.
OMG, I never knew that they like Kristin Hersh! I love Kristin! I just met her before a concert and she's the sweetest ever omg! (Kristin Hersh and Sleater-Kinney are my first two concerts with women artists!)
#1 must have, is that we are safe.
WTF? That was the worst interview anyone will ever see. I hope no one at Walmart sees this when the interviewer applies for a job.
Is Corin's guitar plugged in?
Is this lip sync ?
Sarah Mitchell no its not
no its just a bit out i think
Thanks
I can see the fear of GOD in the interviewer's eyes. Shes like "oh shit these girls can see right through mee!!" and they could.
Carrie is the coolest one
I believe it's more like Jack White looking like them - because - this was twelve years ago - so - most likely they dressed this way before him - they are my favorite girl band ever - The Woods album is their finest piece of art.
The White Stripes used to open for SK, so yeah you've got it right.
DOES THIS BAND HAVE A BASS PLAYER!?
'Sleater Kinney has no bass player'
From afar, they all look like the different phases of Jack White
@XebecOH I sorta see your point, but a quote on politically progressive rock from Tom Morello fits here: "We're not interested in preaching to just the converted. It's great to play abandoned squats run by anarchists, but it's also great to be able to reach people with a revolutionary message, people from Granada Hills to Stuttgart." Also of course the hosts aren't "bitches", they're people.
Ok three things; one thanks for posting this even though it's cut off, two Corin's voice is amazing it makes me want to rip my clothes off, and three I can't believe this is Oxygen they were actually trying to be feminist at one point?!
@wwgt me too
@92Godfather so lame that you just had to respond and then didn't refute it? well, 'de gustibus non est disputandum' as they say. but why don't you go elsewhere, where anyone cares about your tastes? and your piss-stank.
@MrHippobippo I know you could do better than that, that was the lamest insult I've ever seen...then again, guess I can't take someone seriously when their youtube username is "Mr. Hippobippo"...probably some 11 year old girl somewhere, not worth my time...
@92Godfather and you smell like #1.
sleater kinney blows
Dude. You’re subscribed to Pitbull lmao
@McHipster Yeah that's what I was thinking. Corin's attitude is definitely of the "fuck you" variety, IMO, haha :) Of course that could just be because the lyrics are too.
Those hosts bug me
Great band !! I wish more woman would grab a guitar and rock !!
I'm completely convinced that she got her question from the bottom of a milk carton.
that was totally an intentional song choice on sk's part. the producers of the show probably didn't even realize they were heavily criticizing them, and that's the genius of it - plus they reached an audience that has something to gain from the song.
will always love SK for this fucking fantasticc
Ugh. I really want to watch the whole thing...but I'm really embarrassed for the interviewer. I have to keep looking away. Eeeeee. Awkward.
It looks like pajamas. Haha.
Seriously. The interviewer's lack of any sort of understanding is almost unbearable. She begins nodding as soon as she asks her question. Egh.
...I Think This band was opening show for Pearl Jam When I saw Them at the Metro Center!
awesome! thats an cool vid! the interview lady is weird though...lol
thanks for uploading! this is great. <3 sk
wow there are no back up vocals on that song! didn't really notice that! I love how Carrie smiled at Janet, I just love how Carrie always throws Corin or Janet a smile, they really love each other, they had such amazing chemistry as a band and you can tell they're SO close and they brought that love and chemistry to the stage every night...can't believe it's over
how have i never seen that b4. that was a flawless performance. fantastic
Fierce! (Also, is Janet wearing a jumpsuit?! The best drummer in rocknroll wears what she wants, eh?)
thanks for posting! they did a great job, even though they didn't show enough of carrie
yaaaaaaay rare s-k interview
