Yogananda did not do anything India to prosper his motherland and free people from hunger and illiteracy. But he established himself like a wisdom guru in USA. He also used lord Jesus name for his advantage to control his followers.
He started a school in India to help impoverished children. Read autobiography of a yogi. He was told by Babaji to spread Kriya Yoga to the west. Yogananda’s guru learned Kriya from his Guru , who learned from (Babaji). And Babaji taught Kriya to Jesus. So Jesus is in his line of Gurus. You’re entitled to your own opinion, but get your facts straight. Gandhi loved Yogananda so much. After he died, he sent his ashes to Yogananda’s Lake shrine in California. If Gandhi thought Yogananda did a lot for India, then I do too.
@@Young-funny45 I don't think that he did lot for India. People know him USA more than in India. My thoughts are very clear I know that what these types of spiritual gurus do. India is full of numerous gurus but still full of illiteracy, hungry, under poverty and unhealthy people. If these Gurus are so great then why Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill gates types of people get birth in India. Why India don't win gold medals in Olympics. First Yogananda had to empower Indian people before coming to the USA or west. All baba goes where they can fool people. In India there was only one great baba and his name was Shiridi Sai baba and he never left India.

He made India's name great. I know India through his teaching. He was a rare master that talked about Jesus respectfully though he was not Christian. He brought wisdom of India to the West. He is a unique soul and he will be forever. I have learned alot from him. ❤
He Started first from India he started school in 1917 because some problems he changed the name Then then left India on the guidance of our master in 1920

Yogananda prayed. Who did he pray to. I beleive he prayed to the Lord Jesus. Yogananda says Jesus holds the world's ie the universes. Thus Jesus is God.
