Currently Living in N Wales I Always wanted to film and edit my own videos. So I taught myself from TH-cam videos, I go Drone /Video camera in hand and film stuff and try and put together something half decent to watch in a film. Complete amateur I find I travel sometimes great distances then the weather has other ideas and I film in dark, rainy weather, some films may look dark, Sorry for this,

ABER FALLS
An accessible path to the foot of one of Eryri’s most impressive waterfalls.
Aber Falls is one of Eryri’s most dramatic waterfalls. Situated at the northern foothills of the Carneddau, the waterfall is part of Afon Goch’s (Red River) final descent to the Menai Straits.
The river plummets dramatically from a height of 120 feet, crashing into a shallow rocky pool before continuing towards the village of Abergwyngregyn.
Why this path?
The wonder of Aber Falls is the fact that one of the National Park’s most impressive features can be so accessible to many. As one of the shortest walks on offer in Eryri, Aber Falls is an excellent option for those at the beginning of their journey to discover what makes Eryri so unique.
A stone’s throw away from the A55, Aber Falls is a fantastic option for those just arriving at the National Park.
The route offers many picnic areas with wide, open spaces perfect for families with young children. Car Park is £5 for the day,

Aber Falls (Welsh: Rhaeadr Fawr) is a waterfall located about two miles (3 km) south of the village of Abergwyngregyn, Gwynedd, Wales.
The waterfall is formed as the Afon Goch plunges about 120 feet (37 m) over a sill of igneous rock in the foothills of the Carneddau range. Two tributaries merge; the enlarged stream is known as Afon Rhaeadr Fawr; from the road bridge, Bont Newydd ("New Bridge"), the name becomes Afon Aber.
History
Visitors walking along the main footpath towards the falls may spot several small Bronze Age settlements including an excavated roundhouse and smithy fenced off with an information plaque adorning it, several standing stones and cairns are also present, most of these sites can be found on the right side of the pathway. There is also a piece of recording equipment that is recording the weather. It is located to the north west of Snowdonia National Park in Wales.
Visitor facilities
Visitors can park at Bont Newydd, from which the Falls are accessible on foot on a clearly marked trackway. There is a £5 charge for parking payable by cash or card but there are toilets and picnic benches available. The nearest place where food can be purchased is the cafe in the tourist information centre at Abergwyngregyn village.
It is possible to bathe in the plunge pool of the falls, although the water is cold even at the height of summer and care must be taken on the often slippery rocks.

Autumn’s benediction next - fireworks at the Coney Beach arena. And all are gone - and, just like our nations once proud culture, lost forever.

900 new homes will add to the community, this "carpark" was covered in mud from dredging for years. This seems like NIMBYism to the extreme. John Street has had business closing down for a long time now and bringing fresh blood into the community will just strengthen the town rather than being an offshoot of Treco bay which is what has turned into over the past 10 years.
Great footage. The mouth of the river was originally a much wider delta and there was a large bay at Baglan which was infilled as land reclamation. The straight channel you see now was dredged out for shipping when the area became industrialised back in the day.
I used to go there often and it's a great place to visit my one sister lives down in the town and my youngest brother lives in Skewen

Sadly a secret had to be kept to reach this point in Porthcawl’s destruction, that secret now uncovered, too complex for here, I can only refer you to my findings also shared on TH-cam under George Strong AKA Barry. No real damage has been done yet 🙏🏻 but investigation has uncovered a scheme a plot whatever you want to call it, to cover all 256 acres , land supposed to have been conveyed by King George V to PUDC in 1930 in trust, but they were never told about it, BCBC have effectively inherited that responsibility of trust without even realising it.
Salt Lake is an eyesore so i am glad they ate debeloping there. Although i wish they would turn Sandy Bay into a huge park like Singleton. The fair wont be missed, but again, houses is not the answer.

Coney Beach to go, not a problem, Eastern Promenade to go for 900 Houses, NO WAY, maybe 80 to 100 houses, but that's it, forget the multy storey car park
The 900 houses are going between Trecco caravan site and the Hi Tide,on the sandy bay area,I believe the access road will be through the shows and old Dinosaur park.

Grew up there, went back in 04, seemed smaller than when I was a kid. The steam trains were running where the dual carrigeway is, the Victoria Pub was on Station Hill, a Fulgoni's across from there. No underpass then. The Colesium Cinema, Stonleigh Club, Antley's, Loveluck Cobblers, Duck's The Chemist, Hopkins, Madges Shop, Paul's Cafe, at the top of John St. There was a barber shop but forget the name. Great place to grow up. Miss my mates dearly.
The beach looks a bit rocky in places. British seaside resorts seem to have been in decline since the 1950s.

This has nothing to do with upgrading, it’s pure theft of public and Crown land, yes Crown land, the evidence is now out there, some carelessly divulged by the Civic Trust, ironically who were made to remove some evidence but add other, which was a silly mistake as they confirmed the involvement of the Board of Trade in the 1930 conveyance of 256 acres to PUDC in trust 🤣

Check out if the council planning is legal. Most planning determinations (i.e decisions) are illegal because a planning committee is prohibited by statute from making determinations. They can research and recommend but the full council MUST decide. Where I live in the Dean, I refuse to pay my council tax because I will not contribute to an organisation that commits crime. I haven't been there for about 30 years and then i went about 2 months ago and loads of memories came flooding back from when i was a child . i will have to revisit this summer . bits of it looked a bit run down but thats like everywhere in wales these days sadly

I've seen your superb drone footage of Newport, Pembrokeshire on TH-cam and I was wondering if you would be able to grant us permission to use a few seconds of it in a project in which PAVS has become involved. We're currently producing a video to help support a girl called Freya Terry from Newport in Pembrokeshire who's about to embark on a solo circumnavigation of the UK and Ireland as part of a mental health awareness campaign (she will be meeting community groups wherever she docks en route). Freya's journey in a sailing boat called Pink Lady is also designed to raise money for various mental health charities. In addition, we will be running a social media campaign for the entire 5 months of the voyage to help create interest and raise money for those charities. The main video is an in depth interview of Freya talking about her serious mental health problems growing up and how finding her love of sailing helped save her life. Are there any tours to this area from London?
I spent many happy days in Porthcawl during the fifties and sixties and change has to happen, but when I visited two years ago, the first time for more than 20 years the promenade was just ugly and the whole place very tired, so sad. I'm in my seventies but it felt like Zimmer frame by Sea. Sorry to have to say that. I was glad to leave.

very nice ,but why oh why haven't they planted ANY trees at Aberavon ? its as barren as the day I left back in 1969. I live in South Australia , we have sand dunes here and fraction of the rainfall there is in Wales, scouring southerly winds for most of the year and we still manage to grow trees right on the sea front on more or less pure sand !
