Incredible bass and one of the greatest songs/videos ever
Good GOD Good GOD😮❤❤😊
Top tune
Great rendition and what a fine taste.
Magnificent. There's nothing else to say.
im sure those 2 high notes are played even higher
Finally, the right one, thank youu
This is so funky and tasty, BUT the FIRST thing I notice about 99% this solo, is that every phrase is a hook and as a stand-alone could have been the basis for the entire song or another one. Just pure fire!! Whoo Willie go!
Killing it!! This is tough to play for 3 minutes straight.
Can't get what you want till you know what you want.
I Love This Song.
Perfeito ❤️
This is clean af
Awesome
Need to turn the bass up so we can hear it better
Always loved this song. ESPECIALLY that murderous bass line! 😮❤😊
やっぱメチャカッケー
do it
good
What a great sound and playing. Great.
One of the best songs ever created! Thanks Joe J!
This organ solo section is DOPE 😭
Jackson was a genius, your playing does him proud.
Crazy bassline 💯⚠️
This tune is deceptively difficult on bass. "YYZ", "Rio", "Teen Town", and the like are far easier for me. "Steppin' Out" isn't technically difficult, but it requires industrial-strength stamina and perfect time like a metronome.
Your playing is so solid. It's surprising to me how much more complicated this base part sounds in the mix of the song. I'd always assumed there was a lot more going on but it's cool to hear it brought out like this. Such a nice job, man.
Here after Menéndez brothers show such a good song
I think that in this splendid song by Joe Jackson, the bass is king. Well done
何処で聞いたのかいつ聞いたのか覚えてなかった。GSバンドやる時に他のメンバーに理想の曲としてこのフレーズ弾いた。タイトルも知らなかった。最強のリフ😊
Чел на клавишах гений
Dat bass
OOps, I forgot to add the great Verdine White to the list of Great Bass Players.
i'm 66. In 72, the Donny Live LP was the hottest album in RnB-land. Willie Weeks' iconic bass solo, is what helped propel Donny's album to the top. I was 14 in '72. I first heard a live band in Canton, Ohio cover this tune and the young bass player, played the solo note for note. Can't recall the band's name, but the venue was the YWCA in downtown Canton-at the weekly Sunday nite teen hop. It's incredible to watch Weeks perform his iconic solo, note-for-note once again, 52 years ago. Willie Weeks, James Jamerson, Marcus Miller, Larry Graham, Ready Freddie Washington, Anthony Jackson, Stan Clark, Alfonso SLIM Johnson, Nate Watts, Nathaniel Phillips, Nathan East, Byron Miller, David Dyson, Bootsy Collins, Will Lee, Mark Adams, Tommie Harris (Gospel player from Lee Williams' group) ... All-time Great Funk 'n Soul Bass Players.
Simply talented 👏 and I will be glad when my skills on the guitar get to this level ❤🎉!!!
Well played bro. You made it look effortless.
This is FANTASTIC!!!! Very well done, my friend. ❤️🐈
Super 👏👏👏❤❤❤
Buena , es más excelente rola
There are times when I am so impressed... so awestruck... so amazed at the talent I am mesmerized by and have no words to express that feeling. This will never cease amaze. RESPECT and HONOR.
Listening to other versions of this song by equally accomplished session players, you very rarely hear captured the highly personal styles of the original rhythm section, Phil Chen and drummer Richard Bailey (especially Richard Bailey!) which makes covers of Jeff Beck songs from Blow By Blow and Wired by the cream of US Rock and other top seesion players sound, well, bland and uninspired...!
The drummer is so in the pocket
Isn't he also featured on the live version of the song "Can't find my way home" by Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood?
I could slap my ball sac against a plant of wood with the that drummer a d key board player
The drummer should be given the highest award possible
This is the best Joe Jackson song. My favourite. 👍👏
Gran canción con maravillosos arreglos
これ、好きなんです、ジョージャクソン曰く『俺の音楽は、ジャズじゃない❗️ロックだ‼️』┉エレキギターを使用しないでもロックは創れる‼️。
ベースも曲も、ただただカッコいいですね❗️。
This is MAGIC
Rapihhh❤❤
