Could you let me know the model number ims basket and where Can I get it? And does the basic picopresso temper suit for that?
The Picopresso tamper is 52mm, while this basket is 51.5mm. Despite the slight difference in size, it still works effectively, as demonstrated in the video and other Picopresso videos on my channel. For more information, please refer to the comments section, where I have provided a link.
Starseeker E55 conical burr

I have the minipresso ns2 and I love it

Please tell me, is the adapter suitable for American voltage?
Yes, it is for both 110 and 220 v.
Hi, Can you tell me where you got your Roast Vision device?
Hi. It was from their website, but they stopped making it.
@@morningcoffee1 For budget there's the Roastsee C1. I think I'll get it .
Hello, which coffee grinder do you recommend starseeker edge or e55? Please
The E55 is a very good one.
@ thank you, you know your business very well and you have very informative and high-quality content, continue in this direction. You are the best!!!
Please recommend where I can buy it at a good price
df64 gen2 or e55? thanks
They are very different, Flat vs. Conical. That's a personal preference
what did you get? thinking the same either df54 or e55 (from ph as well)
@@vanderabalorio got df64 today. ordered last 11.11 (shopee discount). i had the best cup from my espresso machine coming from the cheap 600n grinder.
@@johncarlocorpuz34from koryaiko?
👍
My picopresso pump feel wabling, is that normal?
I think it may need to be checked or replaced. Try contacting Wacaco
Great comparison. Will the starseeker do well for filter and aeropress as well?
Ues, it's very good for both. Thanks to the slow RPM.
@@morningcoffee1 Great. I think I'll get it. Thanks a lot!
what happened to the Alm Kopi Lever Machine?
Nothing. I just keep switching between them.😊
@@morningcoffee1 I would really love to hear your thoughts about what you like and dislike about each.
How is it so far?
Great. I use it every day and am very satisfied with the coffee so far.
Nice . Is the exhaust pipe included ? And how is the decibels? Loud ? You have the opportunity to experiment.
Yes, it is included. I didn't measure the loudness, but I will.
So you think Starseeker E55 is a better choice over both of these? I am also thinking between Starseeker Edge, Starseeker E55, ITOP 40S and ITOP 03 (which is a clone of Varia VS3). It sounds like you would actually recommend Starseeker E55, but how does it compare to ITOP 40S you think? I already have 40S in another house and I'm very happy with it. But I didn't do any of these detailed comparisons
Hi. Thanks for passing by my channel. I actually didn't try the ITop 40S, but I would love to if I get the chance. I am still using the E55 and enjoying it so much over my Niche and DF64V.
@@morningcoffee1 but what about edge? is edge better then e55 in your opinion?
Can I brew asap a freshly roasted beans? Some says I should wait for atleast a week
It's a bit ashy and smoky due to the roasting. But still drinkable.
Depends on the origin and roast. Many lighter roasts are amazing straight out of the roaster, but darker roasts generally benefit from a few days to a week of maturing.
Thanks! Is this modification really necessary? I have the edge on order, I have a Flair 58. I didn't know I would have to grind finer. I currently use a Kinu M47 grinder and I can even drown the filter if I grind with the smallest clicks. (for reference)
Hi. Thank you. It's not necessary unless you need more range, that depends on your beans and dose size...etc. anyways, it's good to have the ability in such an easy way.
Your videos are very informative. I'm currently getting a Starseeker Edge (model 2024) and honestly I'm a little disappointed without even having it. Seeing that the E55 is better for less money makes me kind of sad. You said the Edge is still a good grinder, but I see you've totally displaced it by having the E55, even with the titanium burr upgrade. This post is more catharsis than anything else, it's already ordered, I just have to wait for it to arrive.
Is the e55 better than the Varia vs3 though?
I'm sorry for you. However, I am sure you still brew great coffee with Edge. Please come back to this comment after you use it and tell me how's your coffee ☕️ 🙂
I'm convinced that definitely, yes, E55 is better with way bigger grind range too.
If it's good for Turkish Coffee it must be good for my Gaggia Classic for espresso. I ordered one. Because I don't think my neighboors would enjoy the grinding sound of a loud baritza sete for example. 😁😁. I don't know why it has 3 metal gaskets. Did you do a test for retention.? Is it plasma ? But anyway you showed us the grind up close and it looks very good. How many steps does it have for espresso?
Man, I grind for my espresso at 40 steps, although 0 is not the true zero point, and it's 15 steps before zero already. So basically, for a stepless grinder, this has an excellent range for espresso, not even there in grinders like Niche zero.
@@morningcoffee1 That's fantastic . I should get mine in 4 days. Thank You very much
nice one. i enjoyed your video. thanks and good luck
Is that the hard case from Flair or a custom?
Yes, from flair.
@@morningcoffee1 Thanks!
what do you think of the e55 durability? planning to buy this one thanks
It's a very good value for money. Makes good coffee, good build quality, and low price.
A maintenance video of this machine would be awesome. Would help decide if i get it or not !! good work
Hi! What do you of this against df64?
That's a Conical vs. flat
Which coffee beans did you use ? and what roast level?
I usually go for medium Light Colombian beans
Hi brother, great video and thanks for taking the time to share. I’ve been considering the idea of getting this roaster for myself, however I see a few different brands offering the equipment on different sites like EBAY, Amazon, etc… so my first question is, which of the actual companies or brands offering the product is the one I should get the roaster from?? Secondly, I’ve seen a couple of reviews stating that after roasting a batch you can find a few beans totally burnt, is this true? If it is, I don’t consider this to be good for sample roasting…. After all how you doing with the equipment so far…
Hiii. Thanks for watching. I saw different names, but the design components are the same. I git mine from ITOP. The few beans that are burnt are just remaining from the previous batch. This just requires you to open the door for few more seconds after you drop the beans for cooling, and these few beans will fall.its just that most people don't wait until all the beans come out of the roosting chamber.
What's the size of your basket? Medium? Large?
Medium
@@morningcoffee1 tnx
Would you recomend this over the Behmor? I see it on Ali E. You think it can be trusted?
I got it from Aliexpress. It's definitely better than behmor.
@@morningcoffee1 Thanks. I look through your videos. They are very informative. Is it fine to roast in the kitchen under the hood? Have you changed the filter? Greetings from Norway.
I see it on Ali Express. Do you think it's good? Thanks for video. Cheers
It's great.
May I ask how the square bar that holds everything above is attached to the base? Is it slightly pushed through the base plate and then welded, or is it just standing on the base plate and then welded?
It's just threaded like any screw.
@@morningcoffee1 looking at the video it looks like it's welded? Iim talking the about the long square rod body that holds the chamber and handle on how it is attached on the base plate below not the plate it is standing on. I'm worried that in the long run whenever you make shots it I noticed a slight bend of the suqre rod and if it would snap someday on the contact point weld of the base plate.
how does this compare to the ITOP 03 ? im looking to buy a new grinder and debating between this
I haven't tried the ITOP 03 yet. But from my experience with this one. It's really good.
would you recommend the e55 over the edge?? have you tried the mhw3 Sniper?
Yes, E55 is recommended for sure. I haven't tried the Sniper yet.
What’s that tool you’re using to test the espresso? Thank you!
It's a refrectometer. Microbalance R2
@@morningcoffee1 Thanks and cheers for making great reviews and content!🙏☕️
What do you think about starseeker edgle v3 which comes with a plasma that supposed to remove static electricity from the coffee powder. Is it worth it?
It's great for sure. You won't need to spray the beans before grinding.
Don’t shut door when cooling takes longer

Welcome 🙏 🤗
Hi! As someone cross shopping the e55 and the edge, can we maybe get a comparison?
Ok will post it soon
Latte art is first class
Was the burr definitely 55mm, it looked smaller?
Hi 👋 It is 55mm.
Thanks, just ordered starseeker after watching your video.
You're welcome 😊 I'm sure you'll love it.
@@morningcoffee1 thanks. It was just delivered, and looks great. I'm confused with the dial though. I think I alligned it properly. 70 seems pretty good for v60. I can go down to 25 for espresso, but I wonder if it is fine enough. I can go below 0 to finer dials. Is it actually 0-200? what setting do you recommend for pour overs? thanks for your help!
Thanks for vid very good , the beans reacting different in that machine because the beans are more exposed to available heat, maybe power shows 50% to indicate although no actual power it’s still hot
Are you still using the Skywalker to roast your coffee? Have you ever thought about doing a maintenance video on the Skywalker?
Hello. Yes, I am still using it, and I don't know if maintenance is needed.
I picked one of these up the other day because I had an Amazon gift card burning a hole in my pocket, but was pretty skeptical. I mean, I always thought single dose grinders were kind of silly, but for my two espressos a day, it’s actually pretty great. Much less of a mess than using my Rancilio Rocky and it has a tiny footprint. I haven’t had a stepless since I sold my Mazzer mini years ago. It didn’t take me long to dial this in and the shots I’m pulling are very good. I get a lot of static but if I let the grinds sit in the cup for a few seconds instead of immediately dumping into my portafilter and then give it a good tap on the counter it takes care of the static and the cup dispenses the grounds cleanly. Im pre dosing into little mason jars I keep in a cupboard so I don’t have to weight each morning when I make espressos. I don’t mess around with a WDT tool or spraying the beans or any of and it’s totally fine. Seems like a good entry level way into this, we will see how long it lasts.
I'm happy you're making good coffee with it.
In your video you are using the filter fan. Do you find it still has smoke. I do medium roasts and would like to know if it will work in my kitchen without the vent pipe for the winter.
Very minimal, like 10 to 20% or the normal smoke only.
