Poor welder
Your all so dumb for walking up on that
Can you use a mig instead of a tig i wanna try
Spent $300 and got a China special? Tsk tsk!
What machine is this? Why post an information video if it has NO INFORMATION?!?!?!
Love this.
i have andrew hammond gold script
i have 2 gold scripts and a ton of silver scripts and some territories if you need
Вола не взрываеться это не воздух. Такие вещи делали опресовывателем на 60 атм
Congrats .I was waiting for you too update.I try to do all the set ,retros ,subsets and I live in the Philadelphia suburbs.we don’t get to redeem wrappers.people don’t understand how big these sets are and how rare some of these cards are,but to me these Are what opc cards looked liked when I was growing up..great video
Am I the only who feels too close
What is the thickness of steel sheet? And what kind of welding did you do on it?
😐
Great stuff ;). ❤❤❤
could you shake a little more? I almost caught a glimpse of it's deformation.
zajebis
Ow much preassure in relation to wall thickness was needed?
Bro i pressed one of these videos, and now they're in my feed all the time :D
it's a video about parkinson's also
Dangerous looking setup needs containment during pressurization.
Because water is nearly incompressible there isn't an explosion risk if the vessel fails.
If you make any further attempts, please do share!

I want to see it dropped while pressurized.
This is the lamest one of these vids I've ever seen
the balls harden
The Time Pods
I feel like you really have to trust your own welding ability so you can block out the mental demons telling you probably just built an anti-personnel device.
What does the resistor look like
I would never think that a pressure washer could put out so much pressure
I know a guy who can do it with his mouth
Hence the name... Can't read huh?
@@mattmarzula well, youd be wrong. the washing effect that the pressure washer derives its name from is actually incredibly low pressure insanely high velocity water washer. so not hence the name. not at all.

@@asbestosfibers1325 Where on Earth did you come up with this nonsense?
This process should be conducted in a pool or pit. Also, some WILL attempt this process without purging the vessel of air which can very quickly turn the vessel into a slice-o-matic.
This is where your welding skills are on display for everyone to see.
🤣🤣
Theres no way this is safe, what if it explodes
I admit I was a little worried, but it can't. Water is incompressible, so you can not pressurize it to the point that this would explode. If you did it with compress air instead of water, then it could explode - if you had a compressor with enough power to make that happen. I was worried what might happen if we did not get all the air out and created a small pocket of high pressure - but we just let the hose run until all the air was displaced. Actually you get to see in the video what happens when one of the welds finally bursts - just a spray of water at about 2:12
It’s dangerous but that’s how actually to make spherical metal tank. Some bigger factories would actually use explosives inside them instead of a pressure hose. They would detonate a small explosive charge (in a safe area of course) calculated to deform the metal into a sphere without rapturing it.
hydronic pressure testing is incredibly safe in comparison to compressed air. this is the safe way to do it.
As long as there is no air this is the safest way to do that. Water doesn’t compress.
Boilers are hydro tested for that reason. @@asbestosfibers1325
If it starts to roll away, cant cant any rounder than that!!
I like how you knew when to stop -- once it started rolling ("Pretty round!") :). Would this work with aluminum?
Just guessing, but it should work with less pressure because the aluminum is softer. The concern I would have would be the welded joints splitting before you got the shape you wanted.
@@jaybrown6225 thank you! I wonder if one can avoid welding by using pressed-down parts . Can't make a whole sphere (and prob not even a half-sphere), but maybe OK for smaller parts.
Это очень круто. Я тоже так хочу
Nice set Man
Congratulations on the set. That’s one amazing collection you got there!

Big job
Hi Jay! Can you please share the drawing parts for this kind of dimension ball?
Thickness of the metal? How did you lay out the pieces prior to cutting and welding? Overall dimensions?
I bought my 95 suburban k2500 with this mod already done, the guy who did it put the new pmd in the cab under the dash. Seems to be holding up as it’s been there for about 5 years now.
So a shop by me has a jaromir jagr blank back priced at 300.00. Graded with an A. Assuming that means it's authentic. What type of value does that have? I believe it's 1996-1997.
Well, I can only offer you opinion. Jagr O-pee-chee rookie cards are around $15 - $20.00US raw. His rookie year and early years came during a time of mass overproduction that hurts their value. This could be countered by the fact that a lot of people collect Jagr cards, and the rarity of blank backs. I am unfamiliar with any grading company that gives a card an "A". PSA would actually say "Authentic" - and this would mean that it is a legitimate card and not a fake, but usually this means that there is something wrong with the card that would give it a low grade so someone opted to just have is slabbed as authentic. Personally I wouldn't pay more than $100CAN for it, but I don't collect Jagr. I hope this is of some help.
@@jaybrown6225 Yeah thanks, I was a bit suspicious and didn't think it was worth the 300 myself but that's why I was inquiring. Thanks for the info....
How can i get a demo of ur product and how vl b i able to purchase it
nitrogen or compressed air?
Nitrogen. We have cut 20 gauge stainless steel on compressed air nicely, but thicker we find we need nitrogen.
@@jaybrown6225 Thanks. Would more power help with cutting slighty thicker ss without nitrogen?
Since its been about a year since someone asked I'm now curious as to how many are left now :) Also I was trying to look online at the odds for the blank back as I think you said something about 1 per case but I cant remember if that was the odds for certain blank backs or all blank backs. Amaing Collection!
Hey, thanks for the interest. So at the time of this video I had 170/600. I have since completed the 50 updates, and have 258/600 of the original base. The main problem is that there are no serious hits in the 15/16 OPC, so nobody is opening it. Back in 2015 I bought a couple cases, and I pulled one BB from one, and two from the other - they are hard to come by. Also, I suspect that many people have opened packs and just skimmed by them because they are identical to the regular back retro card and you would not notice if you did not flip the card over.
@@jaybrown6225 Thankyou for the reply! I might open up some in the future and if I ever come across any blank backs ill defiantly contact you first but since they are that uncommon I don't think ill come across many :(
hi, I'd like to try something similar - what PSI pressure washer did you use?
Hi Dave, I just followed this guys little tutorial - th-cam.com/video/kMz8JmDNVyw/w-d-xo.html - one of the guys here brought his electric pressure washer in. It says 1800psi on the front, but I have no idea what the actual pressure required is to do this. Our sphere here is about 24" in diameter - I think a larger diameter would require less pressure ?
That was really cool
16 gauge cold rolled steel. Two cones and one cylinder. Tig welded joints. Simple electric pressure washer used to pump the water in.
