that also happened to me with 1 HEART i was like being careful to make sure he doesn’t kill me and when i was about to hit him (i didn’t hit him a single time) the cutscene started and yeah i got the glove :D
also i think the reason why it isn’t patched is probably because if they patch the bug, it will start a lot of drama and since a lot of people got it that way that’s probably the reason why they haven’t fixed it in the last two updates they did

I have a story: so I was just trying my 107 attempt of getting avatar, Yes 107… Then on my final attempt I was at 1 heart a kraken was about to hit me and I was sent to phase 3. Then when guide jumped down and the cutscene ended, he wasn’t there? Then it took me to the cutscene where he is falling down and I got avatar, AND I DIDN’T EVEN HAVE TO FIGHT GUIDE

I have a tip that may solve most of you problems with track hands if you have trouble! The track hands have such a big hitbox so what I do is a use shift lock then back up and hit while it’s not near me but not far away. Hope this helped you!

So let me make a guess on what is happening, so last week when I’m writing this comment at least. The mods removed a bunch of glitches in the fight, including softlock where he can’t move but can slap you from far away and he’s untouchable, what I think is happening is that he softlocks, but the softlock patch glitches and ends the fight tricking the system that the game uses for the end of the fight.

[PIN THIS!] The reason that this happened is because when guide gets ragdolled, he teleports, and disappears, to be replaced by a clone, and as you see, Jul slapped the clone of, resulting in Guide’s death and for the boss to end early because of the Void.
Its a softlock fix
