Diamond on new Drills and Barrel practice runs

Jan 28, the Dream Team and I got together and went to the WHO show. I got to race Rio for his first time at a gaming show. Everyone did their best and we all had fun. Room for improvement but we will return.

Jan 28th, took Diamond to the W.HO. show for the first time. Her and Addison did such an amazing job. ended up. placing 3rd in poles! and 2nd in Barrels!

Part 2, after Ally and Diamond did their warm they practiced the barrels and poles. You can see this young rider is trying her best and remembering all the signals and techniques while Diamond is also trying for her and being patient.

January 17, I had one of my intermediate students work with Diamond. In this video you'll see when the rider gets on and works on transitions with Diamond. Walk, trot, and lope. Ally is working on her timing with lead changes so you can see that Diamond is willing to work with her. You can see how smooth she is too!

In this video, you can see Diamonds progress. She's so quick! moves sharp and on the poles she's got her flying lead changes down. Diamond has potential, she's not a free runner yet. I've given her a great start on the patterns and want her to enjoy gaming. I'm building her confidence for her next partner.

Ran Diamond at the Canby Barrel Race Club, Jan 6th. Entered in the novice class and for her first barrel race she did an outstanding job. 20.885. clean run, there's room for improvement, but dang, little horse can get up and go! and for her first Jack pot barrel race. I'm super proud of Diamond.

I wanted to make sure Diamond was going to be ok with the flag while under saddle, and she did really well. You can see if you're a confident rider, she reflects on your energy. If you get slightly nervous, then she will sense that and get nervous with you. Considering today, I'm riding her in my muddy arena she tried her best.

I'm testing Diamond out with the flag to see her potential. She literally didn't mind it at all. She was curious but didn't spook from it. What a good girl.
