I ride Bmw k1200gt up Glockner pass. I see a Harley in my mirror and wave him in front. This Harley go fast! BMW K1200GT, Gross Glockner, Harley, Tour, Mountain

yea that sanding disk is very aggressive, and its meant to be used on welds not aluminum rims

Importent!! Use mask and glasses. Do the rigth painting for aluminium. Grit 120.
Working without a mask is a not wise idea. You guys seem to protect your eyes better than your lungs.

WOW! Good job! I assume that the collar you made with the steel coming out the side was to keep the balancer (Flywheel in USA) from turning?
I tryed to lend the tool but no one had it. I have worked with machine for meny year so not very difficult. I still have the car and it dont leak oil!!!

That sanding disc is WAAAAY TOO AGRESSIVE FOR ALUMINUM, VERY STIFF, HELL I CAN SEE THE ALUMINUM FLAKES ALL IN THE AIR. Also recoat the wheel with clear coat, don't leave the rim BARE ALUMINUM or it will just corrode again a lot faster. Clean the valve stem hole out too, not with a drill bit either, LOL.

Truls Ramleth Good to hear. I don't think I've ever thought about machining my own parts for my car... I'm afraid that I might have to replace either the whole flywheel it at least the ring gear on my W124. The starter motor is grinding badly. I haven't taken it apart yet, so we'll see. I got lucky at least, and found a remanufactured factory starter on Amazon for $87 with free 2 day shipping, and a $70 factory rebate. It will only cost me $17 for a factory starter shipped to my door 2nd day air. They would have overnighted it for $12 more, but that would have doubled the cost...lol.
I need to make something like that rig.
