JAMES HAMILTON: ON FILM Exhibit Setup Teaser
Blake Edwards was a master at movie making! I only wish I had a 1/4 of his writing ability.. What a great team Julie and Blake were!♥️♥️
I ❤ Julie Andrews.
thank you for this! i hold both Joker films to be masterpieces and i like Folie a Deux even more than the first
Are these events listed on the website before they happen? I would love to be there the next time Julie Andrews is on. Would mean the world.
great!
S.O.B. is one of my all-time favorite movies, and I am a big Blake fan, starting with the PETER GUNN TV series (wow, am I old!). As a matter of fact, I'm heading for my DVD right now, which is part of my Blake DVD library (under E for excellence). Larry Storch as the guru delivering the eulogy always has me falling-down-laughing. 200 million! 200 million! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Amazing movie
HAPPY 89TH BIRTHDAY JULIE ANDREWS !!!
I really loved the film (movie)📽 , especially the ending. I hope my life ends like that.
Wow, great intro, the Safdies films have that Friedkin feel, for sure.
I could listen to her stories all day long.
An underrated film. Some great sequences and numbers. It's wonderful that the great Robert Wise captured these theatrical numbers on film with such precision and attention to detail.
Loved the topic and discussion and of course listening to Julie Andrews! Thanks for sharing this video.
I love my dear Julie, always have, always will, but.....maybe it's the white jacket or the shoulders, but something looks different with her! Maybe it's just me and my perception!
This is a more recent interview, and unfortunately she's looking more frail. (She turned 89 years old on Oct. 1, 2024.)
@@dcost100 Well, I still love her and that’s all that matters!
@@hgftrew1992 I love her too! There are just certain people in the world that I wish could live forever, and she is one of them!
Julie Andrews meant to actually say 43 years when she mentioned that she and Blake Edwards were married until his death in 2010, it is really 41 years the year they got married was in 1969.
Eu não falo😢 Inglês mas acho Julie sensacional
I always enjoy Julian's interviews. Thank you. USA
💜
The amazing, multi talented and forever beautiful Julie Andrews brilliantly talks about the great Blake Edwards, whom I had the pleasure to meet at the Marquis Theatre in NY. I congratulated him on the success of his show, Victor /Victoria. We talked about his movies and I could tell him how I was in awe of his talent. He was so kind and polite to me, and we took a few pictures. I also told him I had brought a painting I did for Julie and him from Brazil, which became a hit on the airplane haha we both laughed and he told me he had the picture in the dining room. What an incredible gentleman!
Wow - so great to see you again! Is this a new documentary?
Seems that it is😀
Not really! Julie and Emma live near Sag Harbor and little gatherings are done from time to time at the Cinema where Dame Andrews talk about her career! Emma & her husband used to run the local live theater there! ;-)
@@francoismonferran9031 Oh, I know; I’ve watched them all; thanks! I was referring to the documentary they were discussing about Blake and Julie. I found it and watched it on the PBS app after seeing this. Loved it!
Love seeing you back! You and Carol,or Carol and you are my no. one blessings of my many wonderful blessings! I’m 76 ,Thank you for making this journey on earth a little better than it would have been otherwise had you and Carol not be born into it! I live in west village nyc and would like to know how to come to one of this interviews !! Stay bless,Alisha
It’s always nice to see her back isn’t it?😊
Love the way Julie Andrews explains everthing. She really goes into details. It’s so interesting listening to what she has to say. She likes to talk to people. This movie was super!
He was already 57 year old when he shot October Sky, The film released in 1999, let that sink in. Legend.
This was both Julie Andrews and James Garner's favorite film.
I really hope they do another one. Really want to see Julie Andrews in person. Her movies uplifted my childhood. She's still the same person, and I love that.
❤❤❤
Shame on Julie for dissing Star!
Thank you for posting this.
Nancy Astor was one of Joyce Grenfell 's aunts. Grenfell often visited the Astor's home of Cliveden and lived in a cottage on the estate.
I never get tired of watching documentaries about you Andy, it's magic!
I watched the movie on a long plane ride last week and I could not stop weeping. It was so heartfelt and beautiful

the best examination of Lenny's Life.. superior to Maestro.. Thank God we have this miraculous American Masters docu. Opener with middle movement of the Beethoven 7th sets the stage for what flows out in an extraordinary, true to life way.
love this movie. happy to see the cult following because when i watched it it felt like a forgotten gem
Just saw this movie for the first time a few weeks ago. It was a really great experience.

awesome introduction by josh safdie
I love these posts! 🙏
I love the movie. And I love the play version even more.❤❤
Such perfectly moving musical numbers . Unbelievable charm!😊❤
I love STAR!😊😊
Excellent, thank you for sharing. It is always a great pleasure to listen to Julie and Emma.❤
Based on this, the star of one of my favorite films (V/V) is also a wonderful person. So warm, kind, funny, aand humble. Thank you for. posting this..
An underrated masterpiece. Her performance, Daniel Massey's performance -- both stunning. It was the wrong time for that film. 1968 audiences didn't want that film. But that doesn't take away its brilliance. Also, Funny Girl came out around the same time, the stories were similar and Barbra was such an exciting new star, it stole the oxygen from this film.
