There was a lot going on in the early eighties and punk bands tended to not get scooped up by the big money music machine….as it should be. Subculture does best in the cracks of sunlight, growing in the shadows. My early 1980’s was consumed by the local music scene in Burlington Vermont, I was not aware that California had emerged beyond The Beach Boys.
