I must apologise but here we use different names for things and so, if it helps you out.......Cilantro is called coriander, Arugula is called rocket, Eggplant is aubergine, Zucchini is courgette, Double cream is heavy cream....Sorry, but the list goes on so, when in doubt, ask. We locals are usually quite friendly and very rarely bite! I do so hope that by now you're starting to get used to our small damp island and weird ways. I have subscribed to watch your adventures as you go exploring and travelling. Do not miss trips to York and Edinburgh but don't try to drive to or around London. It's a nightmare on a good day and not worth the hassle. There's no shame here in using public transport, everyone does sometimes.........................the ancient Englishman.

To travel to another city, don't bother with a car at all; public transport is excellent- trains to get there, busses or underground when you are there. Looks as if you took the wrong route with food. Food became very bland during WW2 when it was rationed and essentials only. Since then there has been a huge influence from the Commonwealth countries, and the most popular restaurants here are south Asian (they are called Indian, but the food is a mixture of Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi), also many cities have great Jamaican food, and recently there has been an increase in west African food. All of these are fantastic and try these. Many of the roads are following routes 500-1000 or even 2000 years old (many follow Roman roads) so pre date cars a bit and were not designed for them. British people love and hate the weather at the same time, it is never extreme (rarely stays below freezing for long or goes above 30C for long) so you can usually do what you want any time of year without need for AC or extreme clothes.

I've heard of rumors which escalated with Sainsbury's, however the few times I've been to the UK I bought groceries from ASDA and Tesco... I'm moving to the UK soon so I hope my experience is as good if not better. Also, the 'cents' in the UK currency is called pence or 'P' for short.Thanks for such an informative video ❤️

I've watched about for or five of your videos now and I think you would enjoy "Nandos" - it's a South African chain serving Portugese style chicken. They have a range of chicken sauces and marinades made with peri peri pepper, garlic and onion. You cn buy them separately in the grocery store, but I only ate them at the restaurant.

Re eggs - it's about who washes the chicken shit off the shell. In the US farmers have to wash the eggs which also removes the eggs natural protection, so the eggs need refrigeration. In the UK they leave the eggs unwashed, so they don't need refrigeration but there will be traces of dirt on the outside of the shell. Do NOT drive to the centre of London - unless you want to spend a day waiting in traffic - take public transport all the way or drive to a suburban underground station and park there.

Coriander is the UK word for cilantro.

Fish always tastes better in towns that have fishing ports because it will be fresh. Once the fish gets packed with ice and thrown in the back a lorry to be driven around the country to other places it loses its flavour.

Try Nandos as a restaurant, Las Iguanas, plenty of great food just got to look for it. As for sauces try English mustard or horseradish for your spice though plenty of hot sauces available as well. Try a Donner kebab with hot chilli sauce and salad. British eggs don't need to be refrigerated as not cleaned to protect you from salmonella, America cleans and bleaches it's eggs that strips its natural protection so need to be refrigerated

I read the eggs over there in the UK have been vaccinated against Salmonella so washing, cleaninng and putting them in the fridge is unnecessary. However, the eggs over here in the US have not been vaccinated. So they must be washed, sterilized etc and refrigerated to prevent Salmonella. I ate in a few European countries and I must say the food was bland and the portions were small. But I can't remember seeing any "large" persons while I was over there.
