Tecovas: The Doc short term review
มุมมอง 8K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
Here’s my short term review of the Doc by Tecovas #cowboys #boots #cowboyboots #tecovas #workwear
Chiso’s feel like walking in high heels (I imagine) and I hate the feel of that. Lucchese’s all day long
I love the docs! Have them in cafe goat, sand goat and the midnight black in bovine!
That's me , a fake cowboy. I'm probably insulting cowboys by wearing cowboy boots...but what the heck
Ehh who cares, can go down the rabbit hole on that one. If your not an athlete I guess you can’t wear gym shoes. If your not a blue collar worker you shouldn’t wear any steel toes for any reason etc etc….
@@mediocrepronator6269 I got you
I'm a welder , I prefer steel toe cowboy boots over other work boots, specifically because they don't have shoe laces plus they're more comfortable for me now too, I've gotten so used to wearing them at work , I wear cowboy boots outside of work too, I like the style for the comfort too
Do you wear the same size in both Chisos and Tecovas?
2 weeks of doing what? ⁉️🤠
Just got a pair in bison leather.
All i wear are cowboy boots but prefer the 7 toe Lucchese. Cannot stand the huge wide square toe.
Look into chisos
This is a good review. I’ve owned a few pair of these and they were all fantastic. Only reason I don’t have them anymore. Is they didn’t work well for my feet. Top-notch quality nonetheless. I’ve since gone back to.Tecovas as they fit me better. Definitely doesn’t have that handmade feel as the.chisos do
Honestly I think that patina looks better than brand new. So being broken in that fast is a plus for me. Hopefully they hold up long term!
I am wearing cowboy boots forever!
Can you switch the insoles?
That’s actually a great question. You can but the fit won’t be there the toe box isn’t the tallest so I think putting a thicker insole in could really squeeze the toes
cannot compare 300$ boots to 600 to 5000$ boots.
If you want their work boots with rubber soles you have to buy their Ranch boots. The Midlands and the Stocktons. By using their dressier boots with leather soles for work and they break you are giving people misinfo.
Heel counter is thermoplastic so when you wear your boots your body heat will soften them and they form to your heel.
Did you do a Tik Tok video where your girl trolled you with an eye filter?
No tik tok for me haha
@@Mrcoolstuff69 Lol ok thanks for the video btw, sub'd
For $600, you need to try Heritage boots. Heritage are hand made vintage style. I do own one pair of chisos, and while they are nice, they do not compare with Lucchese, Heritage, Skiver, or Olathe.
Go watch Rose Anvil cut these in half, as well as cutting Lucchese’s in half.
@unknown-user07299 I've seen the video. Most companies use synthetic over the last.
@@unknown-user07299 Yes sir. Lucchese has gone down in quality.
I agree, my Lucchese’s are nicer than my Chisos #2’s
Nice talking. Just ordered Tecovas Bandera model. Like a rubber bottom.
Are they true to size ? Or did u go down half a size
I would go down in size. I’m normally a size 10 in sneakers and 9.5 fits like a glove
@@Mrcoolstuff69 thank u
Nice, I've got a pair of The Docs Goat In the Cafe Color and love em so far. Felt great since the first wear.
Have the same pair … and the pull loops ripped after about 2 weeks .. for what they cost I was very disappointed… hard to find a good quality boot anymore
That’s so upsetting. For $300 you should be able to get a life long boot. Unfortunately that’s not a reality but if you pay $600 for Chisos you might be able to get a life long boot
Been wearing my cartwrights for months now and they’ve been great. Sucks that it seems like you got screwed with a bad pair. I think with these handmade boots the QC can differ if you’re not spending close to a thousand dollars. Hear similar things about Tony llamas which people argue is a better buy for similar cost. Go figure :/
Have you contacted them? I know Ariat would replace them. I’m thinking about trying these out even though I’ve been extremely happy with my Ariat boots and their customer service. They replaced a pair of boots that was 4 years old. The soles were worn out, leather soles which is all I will wear now, and I told them they were worn through in under a year. They sent me and my son new boots But anyway, I would shoot their customer service an email and attach a photo. I’m sure they’ll make it right.
No it isn’t hard to find a good quality boot. Just spend more money on boots then!
@@MichaelAngeloOjeda31 I guess I was mistaken for thinking $480 wasn’t a lot on a pair of boots . My mistake
I like that color ! Those boots look nice !
Nice video !
Chisos are hands down the best boots made !! Also , nice Filson wool jacket !
Agreed! I love the jacket this winter I’ve refused to take it off 100% worth it this jacket will outlive me and my children
Why
@@Gesus111 buy some and find out. Millions of reasons.
@@michaellumpkinss7368 lots of problems with them
About to go buy these
Great video - keep up the boot reviews! Do you find that you drive differently with leather soled boots?
It’s definitely a different feeling on the pedals, less traction than wearing traditional rubber soled shoes but I’ve never been too worried about slipping off while I’m driving!
Thanks for the reply! Would be neat to see a comparison maybe. What kinda truck you got? Could make a driving review
You should definitely do flashlight reviews
Could be the next video!
So good!
Great content keep it up!
And boy do you look good in those boots!
Buyer beware!
What he said^
Great review!
@@LuisUrbietaI’d love to but unfortunately I don’t own a pair of those yet! Hopefully in the future I can
@@Mrcoolstuff69 Thank you.
I have the Doc in Bison. I’m a 10.5 and I get them in a EE.
Great choice! how are they holding up for you?@@PrestonCovell
@@PrestonCovell did ur order them a half size down from your normal shoe size?
Those look sexy nice post
