James' Mailbag - Two Queen's Indian Questions
This is the best caro course on TH-cam, I’m a beginner so learning the lines incrementally but your vibe makes it so pleasant. Thanks so much guys!!
Is there any reason you can't start with 2..e6 in order to avoid exchange slav?
This Is amazing, i am learning the slav and there are move order things, but this removes all of those complications, much better for a concise repertoire, thanks
Puzzles?
Amina story is fishy. Mercury is not acutely toxic. It would have affected all those at the board.
Thanks, had a draw via repetition 😅 this helps
Letting stalemate be a win would be like saying a skier was successful when they don't fall after blasting straight down the hill and praying nothing bad happens. Having no finesse with all the tools doesn't deserve a full point. 😂
Thank you ❤
I have one of his books, it’s good
I wonder if Magnus was worried about losing to Nepo in the blitz playoff. Magnus seemed to be a bit out of sorts after losing 2 games in a row.
LOL re episode popularity
Congratulations ChessGoals! Keep up the great work!
Excellent points made here. For me I have been relying on insights on Chesscom to focus on positive takeaways. To lesson the focus on winning and ratings, I’m looking at improvement on the variables such as finding hanging pieces, finding tactic opportunities, not missing mate in one etc. Also I try to find at least 1 positive from each game and 1 takeaway for improvement versus looking at a mistake as a negative event. And have enjoyed focusing on the why I took up chess vs the stress that can come with the grind to continually improve. Great video
Really nice video. Clear ideas showing how to use the resources for game review along with a good thought process. Too often hear the idea to review without the engine but this allows a good mix to help facilitate learning that otherwise wouldn’t occur without the charts and assistance.
hew do you knew, with hew many players did you see that? THX for this amazing vid
Thanks very well played
I started playing chess a year ago, I don't know nothing about chess at that time, I just downloaded a chess game and played. From experience I learned chess and I will master it
Agreed with that. Cos reading books might make you more confused at times due to the lack of level and understanding.
Yeah that can be a struggle!
Personally i disagree, i think d4 would be better for beginners because of how absurdly theory based e4 can be, where if a beginner slips up anywhere they fall into 1 of the million different traps there are... with d4 you dont need hard theory and can play systematic openings like londan, catalan, and colle ( also more probably in the systematic classification ) and i think thats better for beginners
Good point!
Merry everything! Happy always!
Merry Christmas, Matt and Jesse!
Merry Christmas 😁
For sure, e4 was great to start with I think because of what you said. Develope and King safety feels up front. Your e4 course is amazing. Best opening course I've seen.
Thanks for the kind words!
Merry Christmas and happy holidays guys! Great work this year.
Merry Xmas! ❤
But what about when black and white have both their pawns on d4 and d5? It's driving me crazy :(
Would love if the description or title showed Daniel’s rating or title so that we know the level of expertise being offered
how much time does it take to analyse like 11k games, cuz its nearly been 30 minutes and it still shows "this may take a while"
GREAT
An awesome way to improve middlegames would be to watch you play our repertoire against lower rated opponents. For example, Im 1600 rated. I would love to see Matt (stronger player) play against my opponents and using the same chessgoals repertoire.
EU NÃO ENTENDI O TITULO EM PORTUGUES E O VIDEO EM INGLES KKKK
Hey mathew Denis here, just wondering if you’d want to take over as Century head coach. Chuck has recently been fired and we’d love to have you in the community to defeat mayo.
You can use the free programm LucasChess for this. You can even set the Computer to "realistic" thinking times, so that you dont have to simulate their thinking
The blunder is difficult to explain. Just too much pressure on Ding for too long. Gukesh deserved the win.
I agree!
Heart breaking for Ding to make that room move. But did feel like he was playing for a draw and Gukesh was pushing full force to get a win so congrats on that. Very excited for him after how mature he has been to handle the training and stress of the event.
Story of the match!
Who come here because cannot read fundamental chess 😂?
I’m feeling a Ding victory overall.
Wow those doubled pawns were so strong! I would never have considered voluntarily adopting that setup at the end - moves like that really make it clear to me these guys are on a different level of positional understanding.
Yes they are so strong positionally
Feel like ding has been the better player in the match and has the rapid / blitz advantage. I think ding takes it.
Solid prediction!
Well played by Ding. Nice recap!
Thanks Dennis!
thx for the nice recap!
Thanks for watching!
Is Ding done? He seemed very down in the post game press conference.
We will see how he does next game!
7:19 ..g6 was a poor choice of move when ...e6 and ...Bd6 seemed stronger.
Agreed 👍
Great recap and exciting match. Hard to believe only 29 moves
Tell me about it 🤣
Bro spoiler title in my feed why
Ah Sorry!
@ all good, nice recap 👍
@@GarishMotley Thanks! I edited the title :)
All according to plan for Ding. He is aiming for the tiebreakers. Happy birthday Matt!
Thanks Dennis!!
Maybe Ding will come to regret not pushing any of these advantages. Some were practically quite serious!
I agree! Magnus thinks Ding should press more.
This was great!
Thanks for watching!
Isn't this basically cheating? I feel like he didn't specify that you shouldn't this through the game, which can be taken the wrong way by a lot of people. I might just be missing it tho
Update the opening file either between games or after your session of games. Don't use the file during the game.
I'm gonna start doing this I'm 500 elo currently wish me luck
Good luck!
