I am a Brand Ambassador for Covert Instruments and a member of the CI Round Table. I am also a LPU Black Belt lockpicker. I've picked 8 black belt locks and I currently working on my 9th. I create content for pickers that is helpful & instructive along with documenting my personal locksport journey.

Hey there, stumbled upon you a few days ago when you posted in the subreddit and subscribed :) I also have an AM5 Lishi and many AM1100's but i'm struggling so much with them, probably not there skill level wise with SPPing - did you know in which order the pins bind before doing the video or is there some secret to american locks i can learn? ^^
Oh wow thank you so much! Hope you're finding some videos you like on my channel. For the American locks especially, it can be really hard to figure out binding order because sometimes more than one binds at a time & even when you figure it out, sometimes the lishi still doesn't open them sometimes. When I do these shorts I practice a bunch of times and I memorize the binding order and the clicks first to get the time down. I still have a few American locks that I cannot get open with the lishi though because even though I'm following the clicks, they just won't open and idk why. So definitely don't get down on yourself for it bc some of these American locks can be super hard to figure out. ❤️😘🥰
Also, the other Lishi's I've tried (the Schlage and Kwikset ones) open the locks way easier and a lot faster than the AM5 seems to.

that's the thing with the paclock spools one end has 90° angles and the other side has some tapering. I have only a 90a pro, and gutted it, but not any of the other models
I've got a couple of the other models and they are pretty much pinned all the same with the same types of pins. Kinda like they do with the American locks. Anyhow.. thanks for watching J.

This is my favorite lock for warming up… I pick them every day. These really taught me the importance of the jiggle test and really feeling the pin state before trying to set a pin. Awesome logo lock BTW!
