Only caught the last 3 tracks from his set, but as they say, its quality not quantity. And this is quality!!! When he drops Walking the crowd goes fucking mental; by far the most raggo reaction all weekend!

The Bottomless Crates Covers Boombap 2016: Ed Scissortongue

Moving from the Sika stage to the main stage (literally; in real time) we catch the last few tracks from Ed Scissortongue's set. Originally, I was only going to use Spastic Max for one of the highlight reels; cause it's got both camera angles. But I experimented with the Osmo footage I had, to see what it looked like with the real time audio overdubbed (while shooting pieces between the Sika st...

this is a legendary concert!!! so glad i found this
Skinnyman gassed out 😂
I feel like he might of been better if he wasn’t off his face on acid but I respect the commitment 😂
Sniffing like Zebedee charged, step in a bar and get more brain than the back seat of Kennedy's car.👌 He's sick
Looking back on this show is unreal, what an unforgettable weekend of music #BringBackBoomBap
I first discovered Dirty dike when he strolled into our campsite at nass festival in 2011 asking if anyone wanted to trade some coke for some tinnies. Safe to say I've been a fan ever since 😂
OMG, Song from 22:41 anyone ? pls

The dudes a lyrical genius but yea live not the same.
He had a bad day at the office; too much acid B4 hand. Saw him at the high focus birthday bash later that year and he stole the show.
...we're on completly different pages then. I love him as an artist and performer (always have & always will) but lyrically I think he's pretentious and lazy; hiding behind metaphors, wrapped in euphemisms, stitched together with weird and wonderful imagery, trying to pass it off as deep. If psychedelic nonsense is your thing when it comes to rhymes then fair enough (art is subjective) but for me, if you need the Rosetta Stone to decrypt what he's saying it’s of no interest to me; I might as well be listening to him spit in Spanish.
@@crateshq2256 i personally think his style of writing and the imagary he can conjure up whilst listening to it is what seprates him from others. I don't really understand the lazy comment. in what way are his raps lazy? Who is an example of a rapper who doesn't write lazy raps?
@@lang13 As the saying goes "I can explain something to you but I cant make you understand it." And as Iv already explained why i think its lazy, more explaination wont help you understand my point of veiw. I will give you a good example of a lyricist that paints pictures with his words without having to resort to filling his verses with nonsence; Fliptrix. His latest track is about his dad dying and his words do exactly what they say on the tin, not being left open to interpretation.
@@crateshq2256 Your use of the word lazy does not compute. If his lyrical style is not to your taste that is one thing, but how does that make his work-rate worthy of criticism? Everyone has different hustles and just cos he gets pretty far out with imagery does not mean he works any less than rappers who have more straightforward bars... its just different styles innit.
I love him but live naaaaaaaaa
Crowds still as fuck too. What does that tell you
Fucking absolute shit live!
Well this was underwhelming.
How many people were in the crowd for this?
The dude at 18:33 swallowed by the crowd
Wtf?! 😅🤣😂 holly shit! 🤣😂 My Herooo!!? I think i am in love , after centuries, again...Finally!!? 😅🤣 Still watching this video and thiinking that this is not hia first trippy show, for sure!?

Much appreciated live Scissor footage, nice capture and the audio is top shelf 🛸🔥🙏
Thanks man. The audio was recorded from the desk. This vid is one of my favorites, I had to get creative in the editing as I missed the start of his set; with the handheld camera.
So sick
I can't believe I've just found this , I remember watching a vlog at boombap and Chester was on a stage smaller than my council flat kitchen in the daytime to about 15 people and it made me sad and angry he did not belong there , but then nuff respect I've seen Chester get fucked over by a promoter who said he wasn't meant to be there so he took the fans outside and rigged up a microphone and some beats and done it out there until the feds turned up but Chester being the beatnik MC that he is did not insight a riot he calmed the fans and reassured them free tickets to next show, he told the feds that if he hadn't of done something then there could of been a riot and that he showed paperwork confirming time and date of the gig it's just the promoter found out it was dark grimy hip hop he only wants jazz turtleneck rap for chin strokers not head nodders, the fed was sweet and even asked where farms was, the promoter looks so pissed of Wen he sees them laughing together he wanted Chester and lou slippaz slammed up and charged , but cos of Chester's calm way of dealing with a bad situation he came of with not just a great story but a lesson for those Aggy youts in how to sometimes deal with the shit life can throw your way ✌️💯
When he came to perform in Newcastle with Ramson Badbones (and a few others) he was supposed to headline but the promotor cut the gig short and Chester ended up doing an acapella set outside. That is one of my favorite hip-hop sets Iv ever had the privilege to see.
This was a good show! Even if he was late for his slot ;)
king.

This is sick...but it ain't the full set... there's another video on TH-cam with skinnyman on stage with them at the same show...be nice to see the whole set.
Legendary!
What's this Defendres tune called? Sick hook
Olds Cool off The Death Of Meaning album, absolute fire track to track!
Absolutely banging set! The vocal levels were too loud to play back through my home speakers though. We listened to the first few tracks then had to switch to a different live set because of the misbalance. Still a mint set!
The start reminds of kenny ken en dj randall...bwraaahka🤣
yo can someone write the set list down? X
It's well good when hip hop djs actually beat match
bring this to AUS.....

Honestly, this was shit... Lots of love and respect for Bax but don't drop acid before a show that people paid for. Couldn't properly start his set, speech was slurred as fuck, his flow wasn't what it usually is...
Bro I got spiked before that set. It wasn't my choice. It's a wonder I made it on stage
@@jambaxter spiked with acid before your own set man that’s fucked. Must be mad to look back on this. Hope ur good now bro ur the best in the uk in my eyes
