That is a sweet truck brother. Im glad you went with the Tundra, ive got 196,785 miles on mine and it still rides like a new one. This one and the last one i had after i put 110,000 miles on them i started getting 1 1/2 more miles per gallon. The guys at Toyota told me that it had just got broken in. We live just up the hill from ky lake around New Johnsonville on the west side of the river. Before the Asian carp bass and crappie fishing was great. Now not so much.

wind and kentucky lake used to fish it many years a go in march for crappie just have to find coves and pockets with much wind just have to hang in there and fish !!!!!!

Buy a 3/4 ton diesel! I'd do with Ford or GM But diesel will give you power, mpg's, and overall comfort Diesel will out preform any gasser especially when towing across the country Also for resale, having a gasser that has pulled a boat around the country will tank in value

I would say diesel for the gas milage i get about 16 a gallon with my fiberglass boat and when my brother tows with his gas truck it gets about 6 but its all preference with the maintenance.

Gas 3/4 ton is the way to go. All your gear will quickly max a 1500, especially a crew cab. Ford 7.3L gets my first vote. Next is Ram 6.4L but you want a newer truck with the 8 speed. GMs 6.6L is doable but the 6 speed is lacking in terms of efficiency. There is no benefit to modern diesels unless you plan to keep the truck for at least 2-300k miles, even then emissions systems problems are a headache.
