When I first saw this at the cinema I had serious misgivings about anyone other than Colin Firth in the role. I was convinced I would hate this movie. WELL........I WAS SO WRONG. Matthew Macfayden is PERFECTION. His eyes speak the words so eloquently. Even the way he moves with such elegance and grace speaks volumes about Darcy. I went back and watched the P & P series with Firth and, I have to say, while I still enjoyed Firth, his Darcy falls way short of Macfadyen's more vulnerable Darcy. There, I said it.

This actor is the best I have ever seen ! Superb !!! Keira wonderful too !!! This film is great surprise for me. How could I pass it ?
