Easy Guide to Drawing Shapes in One Point Perspective | Step-by-Step
มุมมอง 16314 วันที่ผ่านมา
Today, we're exploring one point perspective by drawing various shapes. First, we lay down the foundation, then we draw a horizon line - this can be placed wherever you like on your page - and then we mark a vanishing point directly on that line. After that, we sketch a few different shapes. HI I’m Peony 🌸 Welcome to my channel where the possibilities with art are endless and where life is full...

Beautiful, thank you... I have a question, though: If near objects appear bigger and far ones smaller... the number of contour lines would increase and the distances between each will be shorter, right? So, how do I know how many contour lines i should draw? And how do I "calculate distances between them? Is there some sort of formula or equation one should use. This will help more in my perspective drawing, I hope you could read this and suggest an answer. Thank you again.
@usamanasher3900 hey👋 thank you so much😊sure i can help answer your question. It just might be a bit hard to explain it here, but I'll do my best.
@@usamanasher3900 It's important to understand upfront that there is no precise formula for calculating contour line spacing in perspective. Perspective drawing, especially when rendering organic forms, relies heavily on visual judgment, observation, and understanding of how light and shadow reveal form. Contour Lines Represent Form. They are lines that trace the surface of an object, defining its shape and curves. They are essentially representing the way light changes across the surface. Where the surface curves sharply, contour lines will be closer together. Where the surface is relatively flat, they will be further apart.
@@usamanasher3900 But here are some practical tips i can think of to help you get better at this. Observe real-world objects and how their forms appear to change in perspective. Pay attention to how light interacts with those forms. This will give you clues about how to place your contour lines. Focus on relative placement, not absolute measurement. Ask yourself: _ Where is the form turning most sharply? Contour lines should be closer together in those areas. _ Where is the form relatively flat? Contour lines can be further apart. Just start with simple forms. Practice drawing basic shapes (cubes, spheres, cylinders) in perspective. Try to render those shapes using contour lines. You can also use reference images. Compare your drawings to reference images of real-world objects. With practice, you'll develop an intuition for how to space the contour lines correctly. And don't rely solely on contour lines to create the illusion of depth. Use other depth cues, such as overlapping shapes. Placing one object in front of another. Making objects smaller as they recede.Using light and dark tones to create depth. I hope these approaches are helpful! It took me a bit to put it all together.😊

So pretty but it skips at 6:30 so I couldn’t draw along sadly cuz so much detail is added off screen
@@jessiemayfield6749 Yes, this happens a lot in my tutorials. These details can take hours to record, and honestly, i think long videos might be boring to watch. So, I usually cut those parts out. Also, about the part that was removed, you don't need to draw those lines and shapes exactly the same way. Butterfly wings are super diverse-you can draw pretty much any shape, and then add whatever texture you want. But I'm sorry the video had that issue, and thanks for the constructive feedback, I appreciate it. Is there anything I can do to make the drawing process easier for you? Maybe a quick video showing that step would help? Let me know❤️🤗🌱

@peonypaint I'd like to start a youtube channel to post my art works but don't know how to start
@@happylife-700 That's so cool! It's definitely a little intimidating to start, but so worth it. The best way to start is to just start experimenting. Play around with filming, editing, and posting. And remember, your first few videos won't be perfect, but that's okay. Keep going, and you'll get better with every video. I'd recommend beginning with a simple setup - just your phone or camera and some good lighting. And try making a plan for the first few videos so you have a bit of direction. There are lots of great resources on TH-cam for setting up a channel, too. And, don't be afraid to try new things and see what works best for you. I'd suggest focusing on what you enjoy creating most. Good luck 🤗🌱❤️
