This Oghuz Khagan album mixes the styles of 1970s psychedelic Anatolian rock with 1970s progressive rock, as per fan request. Progressive rock songs often range from 6-12 minutes in length, taking the listener on a journey through what sometimes sounds like 2-3 different songs merged into one. According to our fan requesting the style, record companies often prevented their Anatolian rock artists from experimenting with the length of songs, making this album and its exploration of ancient Turkish mythology a perfect "What-if?" for our EP series. Enjoy!

I was about to say, how did I miss this band despite listening to all the bands from the '60s and '70s, but then I realized it was AI. It's frighteningly beautiful. Since I also work in the AI sector, the potential of AI is very evident...
Dude you are CRAZY. Your 60s, 70s, and 80s stuff is extraordinary; Wow. Thank you for blowing my mind. This sounds so good through a nice sound system.
Thank you, I appreciate the support! I was a big Dead Weather fan back in the day too, awesome band. Thanks for listening!
The first song was inspired by Erkin Koray..
WTF!?
işte buuuu 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
For those not familiar with the story of how this album came to being, I'm the "fan" who the channel owner is talking about in the description. You can see my entire message and the subsequent correspondence in the comments section of the previous oghuz khagan album. Overall review for this album: not bad. I'll come to the specifics in a minute. First a couple of corrections, minor as they may be: In prog rock songs are indeed mostly in the 6-12 minute range, but 12 minutes is by no means an "upper limit"; in fact, many of the most popular songs by the most beloved prog bands are way longer than 12 minutes (especially Yes is notable for having at least one "side long" suite/epic in their grandest albums in the '70's, one side of a typical vinyl LP housing about 15-22 minutes of music). Speaking of which, the "EP" mark in the title of this video is somewhat inaccurate, since in the seventies (in which this album would be produced) 37 minutes was sort of the norm for many rock albums. Lengths varied between 30 to 50 minutes (with very few albums clocking in less than 30, or over 50) but as far as I can tell from the albums that I have (physical copies, as well as mp3s and FLACs), most single LP albums' durations were somewhere between 32 and 45 minutes, which puts 37 minutes exactly in the middle 😁 sure, especially after cd's being more widespread the definition of an EP also changed, King Crimson, for instance has more than one such EP, released in the 90's and 2000's, that have almost one hour of music in each, but in the '70's, Ep's were generally mini-albums which would be considered to be too long to call a single, but too short to be a full fledged album, mostly consisting of 12 to 30 minutes of music. Anyway, it's not a huge deal, I just wanted to point out that this would be considered a full album, just like Cem Karaca's Safinaz, consisting of 3 songs with a total length of 36 minutes 35 seconds. Coming to the album itself, like I said, not bad, and I enjoyed it. There are some flaws (inevitably!) but I don't see them as dealbreakers 😁 like, the beginning of the first song felt a bit too repetitive (but what can you do to make a song as long as nine minutes! Even real life prog bands had a little too much repetitive sections in their songs, that are now considered masterpieces!), sound quality drops at places (in fact this might be considered as a characteristic of a mid-seventies Turkish rock album!), and lyrics sometimes sound confusing, however, I did not listen attentively, and haven't checked the lyrics, it might as well be fine. A little improvement might be necessary, but as a first attempt this one is as good as it can get 😁 even if this was the product of real musicians (flesh and blood, that is!) back in the seventies, I may have still criticised it the same way (or, I would have applauded the band for their brave and avantgarde approach, who knows 😝) And you forgot to set a date for this "supposed" seventies album 😁, but as I said, my criticisms are all minor issues. Maybe I'll be back to update and revise my review after I read the lyrics attentively, and maybe give the album another listen. Whether or not, you may feel free to go for another attempt for another Turkish folk prog rock masterpiece 😁 this time, you may want to try including a side long epic, with our without subsections (consider Yes' close to the edge, Genesis' Supper's ready, and King Crimson's Lizard, all of which have subsections, but flow as a whole of interconnected parts)
Before I revise some negative parts of the review above, let me add some positive aspects which I forgot to mention: although lyrics are a bit confusing at places, the plot of the third song is quite nice, and actually taught me a concept which I didn't know before 😁 I also must commend the instrumentation, woodwinds and Turkish folk instruments are a nice touch. I may find some more nice touches like these, and I will add them here in that case! Edit: yes, very quickly I found another nice touch: horse sounds in the middle of the instrumental section of tulpar, also at the very end! Edit 2: I noticed this right away but forgot when I wrote the initial review, the title of the first song is also a nice touch, as many rock bands (not just Turkish, from all over the world) make a song that allude to their name (or, as in the case of focus, ten!) the conflicting part here is that the title is in English, whereas the lyrics are in Turkish. I don't know whether the title translates well into Turkish, but just a reminder, songs with English lyrics is not unheard of with Turkish rock bands, in fact, Barış Manço made an entire album of English songs, and Cem Karaca made one with German lyrics when he was living in Germany. Cem also produced enough songs with English lyrics for an album, most of which were published as singles during the '67-69 era, which then were compiled to an actual album recently, as Laila's Dream (also including the instrumental versions of some of the songs from that era), available in TH-cam.
Bu yapay zeka hepimizi şeyapacak gibi görüküyor.
Too many people are afraid this is going to replace musicians-- its literally just another form of music. Some people will like it, some wont, it'll probably evolve into something different again in another decade or just lose popularity. It has no greater a risk of replacing musicians than digital replacing analogue. People today even use synthesizers and drum machines and print their albums on vinyl😂 strange world! AI music isnt even possible to create without humans. Im glad its being used to make something peaceful and enjoyable.

Songs are too long!
Ah, but the length of the song is the whole point, friend! The fan (shown at the beginning of the video) requested a fusion of Anadolu Rock and Progressive rock. Progressive rock songs usually range 6 to 12 minutes. And the point of the "What-if EP" series is to try out fan requests 😊 if you make a good suggestion, maybe I'll take your request next!
