The "Radiation Inspectors" and the cereal bowl.

I scanned a highly radioactive bowl (like Fiestaware) with a Geiger Counter. Further tests showed the bowl in the above video radiates 2 milliroentgen/hr = 20 μSv/hr. That's the equivalent of 4 dental X-rays, or two days worth of background radiation!

Thousands of white men standing in a park Objecting to racism like a candle in the dark
Was certainly there ❤ Joe would be organising them now bless him ❤ RIP StrummerMan ❤
YES!!!! ❤
I seem to remember The Clash being on earlier than planned as they had to get to another gig later. I was a teenager stood on a statue at the back.
Unfortunately, it's now right wing ideas in the ascendecy among the youth and large sections of the working class-dangerous times.
I thinking the other day, how the hell did we go from this, to where he are now? 😢
@DavidJones-dz4rc it's sad isn't it? Positive time with masses of working class people coming together for the right reasons. What have we now? Drug adled tattooed, vacuous immoral racists where bigotry is the norm.
Wouldn't be a punk show without something going wrong or turning off... Eric Clapton was a complete boring twat compared to the Clash.
I know I'm somewhere in that crowd, but I can't spot myself 😄. It was an incredible day.
When you rock so hard against racism that you end up a hated minority in your own country, great job lads
Where on Victoria Park was this?
Well, it's quite a lot of it and facing the tower blocks that were constantly being mentioned.
@@jeffblack5024 well, that was not the answer I was looking for but thanks for your efforts.
White riot and every one pogos like mad. Go Jimmy Go......
This is the peak of the punk era. And there was a cause. Rock against racism. A collective mind and soul. I grew up at this time. I saw the Clash and Sham 69 and even covered their songs in varoius amatuer bands Although I am a believing christian since many years my personal connectipn now is that we have things in common. Punk predominantly was passionate and had in its essence nonviolence and hope for a change. Just like serious christianity. I wish kids would pick up guitars instead of guns. Just look at the world and my country Sweden now in 2023. Some kind of youth movement has got to start again. And listen to this: I believe young people including the punk rockers fought for higher moral values. What are higher moral values? Why dont you find out?
Hi guys I am dealling with raceism in a big way they are messing with my water with my head they got somekind of a machine or some thingvw? Need your advice?
I was there, a great day a right good piss up
Now THAT is a proper gig crowd 💪
Yay, Jeremy Corbyn at 1:25!!!
Nah

I love the clash there my favourite band
well
Because this is from the film, not only is the video quality stellar, but the audio is too. You can actually hear Paul's bass and that's a beautiful thing. Not to mention during Mick's solo on _White Riot,_ you can clearly hear Paul picks his bass at 3:37 and 3:39 while at 3:38, he rests and only lets Joe strum the chord. Just thought I'd share that with the audiophiles who might be watching.
it's because they re-recorded it in studio. all the songs in Rude Boy
@@DarkAngel-pm2np I see.
corbyn 1,30 . . I think
I think we need another one! Now!
My dad was there. From Rude Boy (1980). 41 years since they played at Victoria Park.
Can't believe I was (not only) one years old when this happened. I used to visit nan just down the road in Mile End. Sometimes Dad would used to take me to "Vicky Park" to kick a ball or feed the ducks. Anyway, what great band these were. Pride of London without doubt.
Was gonna get a tube as didnt wanna walk 6 miles or more but the tubes were on strike...as we walked/marched with the rest every corner seemed to have gangs of skinheads zeigheiling ....when we got to the park there were skinheads attacking the gays and pushing and shoving down the front....was quite nervy .
I was there too. Cracking unbelievable day. Ended up at some squat in Kings Cross. Magnificent. 57 now and just put it on out of curiosity. More power every kid that is till moved to rebel by music. Handle the partying and you’ll be what every tourist wants to be.
Great day out from Leeds, Clash and Xray specs were good, as were the topless go go dancers in the pub across the road
Thank you so much for posting this. :)
Where're the cell phones?
Having a rotary dial phone was posh back then.
Is it somewhere the complete concert movie? Should be..
Nice OG can of Special Brew @4.04
Wow. A lot of racism in these comments
good.
We got Buzzcocks, Steel Pulse and a local band (to me) China Street (doing white reggae when UB40 where still in romper pants) in Manchester We got a heavily subsidised bus from Lancaster, 50p return! ,
Just great in every way a band should be great. Watching this vid gives a li'l idea on why they were "The Only Band That Matters". Heh, gotta be amused with Jones' Rock star posing. He would have fit more with a stadium band rather than a Punk one. Gotta give the guy credit though for having the balls to have long hair at the time. The irony. "Rock Against Racism" and not long after they'll be victims of racism by the very people they sought to defend. "Safe European Home", huh?
I was there, went with Andy Blade, a schoolfriend of my brother.
look at all those young white faces in the middle of Hackney, beautiful, won't see it again since Britons have been ethnically cleansed from London. All because of self loathing cretins like The Clash, it must kill you old 'rebels' looking back knowing everything you stood for was a lie and you were just too dumb to see that you were simply being used
Punk hijacked by the left. What a ******* tragedy!

Racist Twat.
What's racist in that statement?
I love seeing different colours. It makes me happy that we have so much diversity.
Jack Shepard London is a straight shithole now same as paris
It's gigs like this that make ICONS. When bands played from the heart and expressed the mood of the times - legends!!!
I was there, aged 13 with three mates from school. Quite scary walking down to the park, lots of coppers and right - wingers en route. Proper punks in the crowd, before there was a uniform for punk. Brilliant day, X-Ray Spex were fantastic, TRB and Steel Pulse too. Oh - and The Clash, for free! Remember the bloke in front of me had attached bricks to his boots and had the words 'I Am God' painted on his jacket. I didn't argue!
+Paul Edwards That gig must be quite a memory to have.
Its Jeremy Corbyn at 1m 20s.
+Ian Young I think you are right.

1:25 Back when Feminism HAD a cause and reason to exist!
Is that Jimmy Pursey - of Sham 69 fame - helping out on White Riot ?
yes
sham 69 stood for some mindless violence - they might claim it was out of their control but i remember being chased by 100 idiots after their show in Kingston for wearing a Destroy T shirt because Jimmy 'Bay City Roller' Pursey held up a Destroy Shirt during his set and going on about the enemy wearing Seditionaries - the Clash were pure Force w11 god bless - Jimmy Pursey is a desperate poser - sorry no disrespect to you but he never helped anybody but himself
Sham never stood for mindless violence, they got highjacked by a load of NF skins and every gig was targetted, Pursey was anti racist !
Thing was with Pursey he keep defending the fuckers who kept wrecking the gigs and often beating the real Sham fans.
BLOODY HELL! \m/
