I love that this fandom is still going. Very good song choice. I've only heard of Mountain Goats via amvs so I need to hear more of them. The connection to our boys is kind of eerie with just how much fits the lyrics. And thank you for including the lyrics. It is very helpful.

There's a scene in which Kozue wears a blue version of Anthy's dress. I never understood it until now. Miki views both Kozue and Anthy as two aspects of the same thing: the Madonna (Anthy) who is innocent and pure and the Wh0re (Kozue) who is tainted and trashy. But in actuality, they're both the same, the only difference is their attitude. Anthy isn't actually innocent or pure at all, she just doesn't flaunt it. And as someone else the comments mentioned, Kozue tries to make herself more powerful by using her s3xuality, but she is still as powerless and exploited as Anthy. The Madonna and Wh0re are just two female archetypes in the patriatchy and neither of them are any more positive or powerful than the other; they are both degrading and enslaving.

you know in that oreo rage comic where the stick figure at the end slowly fades back into view after having passed out and it just says "*ringing*". thats how this AMV makes me feel

"of things made to be destroyed, all moments meant to pass" is such an utena phrase. Destroy the egg shells. Suffering is actually meant to pass.... ouigh

So yeah, first comment not coherent but wow that song really worked so well with Utena. It also helped that my tablet makes it easier to have both the video and lyrics up because the lines are just perfectly timed. I'm so happy people are still into Utena.
