We came across this mink wrestling with a muskrat in our bean field. He finally dragged it across the field, across the pond channel and to his hole. March 24, 2024

It's nice to have someone get right to the point. No 10-minute introduction here!
Well done sir!
It’s the jets on it there is a specific one called the air idle jet it’s probably clogged
Use hard wood pellets
So do you still have this thing?
I do. It's running great. Had to replace the circuit board a couple years ago but other than that, it's been good.
Thank You for posting this! :) ... No one has explained how to do this -- even Bestop...
Ola, Guzel paylasim👍 👌
Thanks

Sound gud
That deer is eating better than me!
Thanks so much!
I agree with the fresh air supply routed outside. On mine I used a 2 in black cast iron pipe with an elbow. Place an gutter downspout mess screen on the pipe on outside inlet, silicone fire caulking since it was only that pipe needed to go out the other exterior wall.
Does the top fold down as well (like the super top)?
Yes, it does
@@1bvanzalen thanks!
Yup definitely loose.

Cool video
Good video
Glad you enjoyed
How was it rebuilding the heater?
It was a good winter project. Not too bad at all and it was a huge improvement. I followed directions from a couple guys on Jeepforum.com. Look up “heater rebuild”.
Awesome thanks. We’re you able to improve that safari top to hold in heat during the winter?
@@chazpaul7934I haven’t messed with it since the video. I’m going to try tweaking the door by bending the frame a bit and see if it helps. Wish I didn’t have to use the 1” foam but I’m not holding my breath. If I do I’ll mount it to the door like I said in the video. One thing for sure is that heater really works well with the blower motor hack! No problem keeping warm even with the airy leaking in.
Would you still go with the safari too if you did it all over again?
@@chazpaul7934 Absolutely. Now that it’s summer it’s really paid off.
The price from last October just jumped $200 higher and Bestop is going to raise them again April 4th. The company sure knows how to go out of business.
much appreciated for the video, i have a 72 myself and was looking for the better top to go with, and id agree with you that the safari looking top is better. is there a way you could show it with all the sides up and doors off?
I’m anxious to see that myself. I’ll try tomorrow.
I added a video to my channel today 02/27/2022 with the sides rolled up. Hope it helps!
That mf switch wen u open to put pellets in gd. It wont send pellets which was my problem.🔥🔥🔥
That was very helpful, thank you much!
Damn man, great shot!!!!!
I wish someone would do a thermostat hook up for a pellet stove, for the thermostat on the wall.
Somerset wood pellets are by far the best!
Pellets do make a diffrenece you need to open that damper half way to get the heat and keep the widow clean
There is a reset button also in the back in the right side inside the door I found mine and its worked by great again
I'll look for it
Had this stove for over 2 years and it's worked great. Just keep it fucking clean lol. And opening the damper should make the flame smaller. You dont want a giant lazy flame. That's inefficient... I typically always have my damper opened about halfway or a little less on low.
I have the same problem. How did you fix it? New shims?
*Bob, a fine video thanks. A few thoughts having been thru 'this' with several makes/models of pellet stoves* ... *FIRST: tho you had it one day and say "I know crap about this stuff" you likely knew 98% more than most folks; i.e., it's not you. Pellet stoves are each unique beasts and need a bit of tinkering to optimize* *SECOND: as noted by some folks below, pellet stoves every one I've used/installed [amateur, not pro BTW but about 6 stoves over the years] operates vastly better with the 'cold air' intake conduit attached, pulling in fresh air from OUTside the room where stove is located. A pellet stove is much like a regular fireplace in that they operate better with air coming in 'from below' and exhaust out the top. Unfortunately for fireplaces this means 90% of heat is wasted. Anyway, attach the cold air intake from outside and endeavor to have it with few bends etc. You want the 'cold air intake' thru stove up thru 'exhaust vent' to be as "vertical" as possible when envisaged from tip to tip* *THIRD: pellet qualitiy is of paramount importance. I suggest buying 20 or 40 pound bag at a time, a few types. Run your stove with each type to determine which pellet works best for your stove with best output and least ash. Many pellets are crap. Never ever buy "bulk" (many bags) until you find one that works well. The shit pellets you can use as driveway ice grip instead of salt/sand rather than burn them off and soot up your stove. However, when you find a type that works well, THEN go back to store and buy a bunch as pellets can differ lot to lot. Just keep them stored in a DRY place and away from mice* *FOURTH: with above done and stove running releatively good, tinker with air intake damper setting, pellet rate of delivery etc. E.g., often putting stove at say 30 degrees will burn vastly better more efficiently and put out more heat over time without problems than cranking it up to 40 degrees when pellets delivered too fast. It is a science but dependent on the art of it.\* *Thanks again this is a fine video. Likely you got it figured out by now since vid is 2018, but hope some of this helps you or others*
Good stuff TommyT! Thank you!
You can bypass the lid switch with a car fuse
Explain?
@@1bvanzalen let me take a pic of my son stove tomorrow for you

Same issue with my 97 Johnson will run with choke open only
I vote for the damper myself it’s in the back, down on the bottom middle. Peace
if facein fribt of stove what way is cloceds damper
Done!
Running air intake outside will improve heating and less cleaning.
Really? I was wondering that.
That’s your carburetor. Might need to be cleaned
Same
try to attach the fuel tank directly to the carburator. then holde the fuel tank above the motor. than you find out of the fuel pump is bad/not working.
th-cam.com/video/_6HRrUvk7wQ/w-d-xo.html
NO man you have to get air intake from outside , good luck let me know how will heat after that
I haven’t been keeping up with this video and I apologize. So finally last year I added fresh air intake. I can’t remember the sequence but I believe I had shitty pellets. Once I got rid of those and bought Pro Pellets + the cold air intake it’s run great!
Mine runs fine until you turn it off, then the auger keeps turning and filling the burner pot. The fire gets so hot you barely can get near the stove. I have to remove the pellets from the hopper to get it to shut down. Dangerous... I won't own one of these type stoves again.
Open damper all the way, install a klinkerking then you’ll 💯burn
You should have that air tube hooked up to outside air
Done!
