I was mesmerized by this video almost 15 yrs back when NASA was planning about Constellation program......& now its late 2024 when SpaceX is trying to make this a reality 😄
I love you😊
I love to revisit this video from time to time
Elon musk approves
Where we would be now if Apollo had not been cancelled.
What rocket is that? Cuz it sure ain’t ares v

Why are they playing the Russian anthem? Anyway, it's December 2019 and both the Starship fuel tank and the SLS fuel tank have failed the pressure test, and I'm still waiting !
Its not tho
It will happen believe this in time
Wow, it's been long since I've watched this video. I was like, err 7 or something?
soon people will able to live on new planet earth in the future
I SEARCHED 1 HOUR FOR THIS VIDEO
Cool cool cool to see you at all times in a while and then you
I don't think you are the only you knew how much you mean to you your a fan since I yu have to go back and I don't think that I have a great way of the day before I get a follow back on my way home from work to be the first half of the day before
Wait...So, you're telling me that you didn't start a colonization on the Moon and you wanna start it on Mars already?
The Moon is not Earth-Like at all! Mars is a calmer place than the Moon.
The rotation is a bad idea with shifting masses and centerpoints.
Not really. Since the tether is 1 1/2 kilometers long, shifting masses won't cause any problems.
Is that the official solution. or is that a personal conception? A ring is a bad idea, a tether even worse.
John Smith 1 1/2 Kilometers (or possibly even 1 1/2 miles?) is what Robert Zubrin had planned for the Mars Direct, and with NASA in the Mars Semi-Direct mission concepts. The idea is to tether the crew section to the spent Earth Departure Stage, and spin it, to produce 1/3 Earth Gravity. It's the simplest solution for providing artificial gravity, and reduces the necessity of high-speed propulsion like ion or plasma engines.
Why aim for Jupiter when you want to go to Mars? All that extra energy spend, could also be used to increase mission mass. It is simply a waste. These are orbital mechanics. The more you increase your speed up, the higher your apogee will be thus further into the solar system. If you would ever miss Mars by any accidental drift, you;ll be along for a long, long ride. This is not simply 3d space where you ever point your ship to and if flies in that direction. Not even with thrusting power.
i love the music

quiero ir a Marte -.
Como se llama la cancion ?
+Ian Lopez Music: Conquest of Paradise (1492 Conquest) Labor of Love (Star Trek XI) Está en la descripción.
To 'Wild Boar': Neither stainless steel nor titanium would survive interplanetary reentry without becoming too heavy. Heat shields of that type are usually made to ablate during reentry, carrying away the heat. The PICA and PICA-X heat shields for example are made of carbon fiber impregnated in phenolic resin.
what name of music?
Dont know how that shield got there... but it cant be aluminum like the ship cause only stainless steel and titanium can resist such reenteries in are heavy atmosphere. Guitar Player SHREDS nasa SPACE PROGRAM for less than $1 (13 minutes)
Mars the future Earth!
Name. Alien's living on the earth
I so Hope We do This "Fingers Crossed"
Does it always have to be about CONQUEST? Man cannot "conquer" anything except by learning and following nature's laws. That's a fact. He can use his knowledge of nature's laws to create amazing things. But until he "conquers" himself in self-mastery, his conquering will only leave devastation in its wake.
I've been looking for you. I remeber reading this comment 6 years ago and now I have found it. I would just like to ask if you are still high, mate.
0.59 - Oops, parachute deploys too early…. What is that?
That's its heatshield.
+Sarge Rho The I was thinking of b
This is cool! It is interesting very much. If we want to build city on the mars, it will be necessary to build many Greenhouses. It will demand many cargoes with ground, seeds and fertilizers. And also be required strong and easy plastic for domes of greenhouses. Greater ships are necessary for delivery of all of it to Mars. It is More, than are shown in video. The source of water on Mars is necessary. It will demand the mountain equipment. It will demand greater ships and rockets (such as energy or saturn 5).
This is a just a system that will carry the first humans to Mars. These missions will teach us how to live on Mars, and after that, more rockets will follow it. We dont need to carry everything we need on Mars to Mars. We can just bring machines that will make the things we will need on Mars. There is water on Mars, iron in the soil, carbon and nitrogen in the atmosphere. We can mine these minerals and use them instead of bringing them from Earth.
Actually, you would only have to bring in seeds. You can extract water from the permafrost under the surface, and then do hydroponic farming. Later on you can start with proper farming.
You could have used ambient music by Stellardrone.
But this song fits in with the title.
This looks nice but how do they expect atmosphere to stay there and not being blown away by solar winds ? and all this program implies many trips from earth to mars ; according what I know such thing is possible only once every two years, so I don't think I will see this happen before I die
When you can go depends entirely on your propulsion system. With our current chemical rockets, you can go every 2 years, but things like the Magnetoinertial Confinement Fusion engine could change that, and shave the trip time down to a month or two.
+Limon Juice Well, someone's salty as fuck.
Hey ......you need to have some experience in drivin....k......gta 5 is not a game for losers like you.
Flights of fancy. Fun to ponder but once you educate yourself about Mars you realize that Mars is dead cannot be terraformed. The atmosphere and water disappeared for a reason. Research it.
Mars lacks a magnetic field, which resulted in the atmosphere eventually being blown off into space via solar wind. It's just that it took millions of years for that to happen. If we terraformed mars, we'd have a good million years or so to give it an artificial magnetic field. Of course, there's also the problem of lethal radiation. I'm more worried about that :P
The reason Mars lost its atmosphere (which by the way, took somewhere on the order of 1.5 billion years) because it lacks a magnetic field. If you replenish the atmosphere, it'll last at least another billion years, by which time the Sun will be so hot that Mars is no longer in the Habitable Zone anyway.
***** According to our current understanding it took something on the order of a billion years. Since I have no time to deal with ignorant jackasses like yourself, you are now blocked.
***** The moon has an atmosphere of atomic oxygen and dust, actually. It's too thin to interfere with anything however. And I'm not blocking any truth. *YOU* are, or at least trying to, while looking like the moron that you are. Mars used to have a dense atmosphere, and lost it in part due to an impact, and in part due to the solar wind. But you know what? It took it several billion years to lose its atmosphere. And it would probably take at least half as long to lose it again.
+Limon Juice +Sarge Rho You can create an atmosphere on Mars. However you need a cheap and heavy gas to do it. CO2 might be a good idea. You can not Terraform it as Oxygen is too light and will be ripped out of Mars' low gravity by radiation. Also the sun is too far away for photosynthesis to even work. The best thing to do is build underground sealed bases powered by surface solar pannels and nuclear power stations.
project wonderful--

HOW IS SUCH A SMALL SPACECRAFT BE ABLE TO CARRY ALL THE FOOD AND STUFF?? BAD idea for this kind of rocket
Recycling all the water, and possibly waste, strict diet, and the food has to be choke-full with nutrients. It'll do for 2 years. The ERV can also carry some supplies to use once on Mars and on the way back.
Sarge Rho however, nobody can trust small rockets :P
i will spend all my money to live and die on mars
E' gia tutto avvenuto l'anno scorso con la sonda curiosità che manda messaggi per la missione Marte, che spero avvenga presto. L'umanità ha bisogno di spazio per evolvere, gli involuti invece pensano superfluo andare su Marte.
You don't need nuclear rockets until it becomes a commercial thing, the scientist could wait
yeah rite.
Eh...no we couldn't. How do you exept to fission Deuterium? You mean Fusion?
Dream is over,,,,, A FREND
We could use Nuclear Fission Pulse Engines using Detritium and Helium-3 as fuel. Of course it wouldn't be safe to start the engines in LEO.
VASIMR is crap. It requires far too much power. More than we can currently provide without making it so heavy that all of VASIMR's advantages are negated. Fusion propulsion is the future. Specially things like the Fusion Driven Rocket. Later we'll have Antimatter rockets and perhaps Quantum Vacuum thrusters...And eventually warp drives I hope.
mar in 30 some days sooooooooooooooo kool/
vasmir is the best choice to travel to any distance in our own galaxy and it even features a after burner mode this will be your "car engine" in space nothing can explode and it very stable platform it can also use h2o the most abundant element in the known universe...
Oh the irony
' dont use a word YOUR on me,,, daivd david is fail spelling test grammEr,,, is he 5
We have ion engines. But they are crap for short distance interplanetary travel, specially for manned travel. I doubt we'll see antimatter engines in this century. At least this half of the century. The Fusion Driven Rocket is the best we can do atm. Mars roundtrip in 30 days.
...and others are well informed, play rocket games, and aren't delusional. And some others are arrogant delusional fuckwits.
