My Walk with MG

Hello!
Welcome to My Walk with MG (MWWMG) TH-cam Channel. We are the only 501c3 nonprofit organization, based in St. Louis, MO that advocate for Myasthenia Gravis (MG). MG is a rare, chronic, and life-threatening autoimmune disease that interrupts the communication between the muscles and nerves. Because of this, it causes mild to sever fatigue to all voluntary muscles. This creates a health crisis that can lead to hospitalization for immediate treatment.
MWWMG channel will highlight the different lives that are impacted by Myasthenia Gravis. It is very important that you not only read the stories we have printed but seeing the faces and hearing the words can help with understanding MG a little better. You will hear from MG warriors and their MG journeys but also family members and friends and how they feel. We are shaping the world one day at a time through our advocacy work!

My unexpected hospitalization back in January. I went to get some water, sat down, and out of nowhere I could not breathe in deeply. My breath count was less than 12 blowing out. This time around came 3 years after my last hospital stay. This is a glimpse of the port used for plasmapheresis. I will post a video of what that treatment looks like.

I start mine on January 7th super nervous but excited!
I was like that too my first time. Make sure to take snacks and a small blanket for you nap. Bring a tablet/ipad/laptop for movies. I hope it all goes well for you 🤗 Keep us posted!
