Hi Thanks for watching. Hope you found the video useful. Please do give it a like if you did as that will really help me. The cheapest, easiest and best way to get rupees was at the atm as you come out of departures at the airport. Remember, though, to not let them do the conversion otherwise you won't get the best rate. You can ask the currency exchange (also as you come out of departures) to swap for smaller notes if that helps, or just buy a snack in the shop to get change. The hotel can also break notes down for you, but they limit the amount. I don't know if you are going by Tui. We did and our transfer was a private car with just me and my wife and it took about 1 hour 20 for the transfer. The tuk tuk's are so cheap that they usually only take cash. I don't know if you saw my Colombo video in the playlist, where I got a tuk tuk from the hotel to the train station. I recommended a guy on that video (and stated his wattsapp number). He was really good and helpful. It's a good day out. A must do also is Udawalawe National Park for the elephants. Again, there is a video of that in the playlist and it really is amazing. The hotel really is lovely and we will be going back. Something we rarely do. Have an amazing time and if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask

@ovy6136 Thank you for watching and for your comments. Much appreciated. I guess it depends on what you are looking for, eg, more shops and choices to eat etc at Sanford. Sanford is closer as you say, but with Melbourne, you don't have the crowds, the queues and the longer waiting times you do at Sanford. From my experience of both, I'd rather have the quicker in and out. Whilst Sanford is closer, I've found from experience that there is no time saving in travelling to and from Sanford, due to traffic, parking wait times etc. Be interested in your opinion once you've done both Thanks again for watching

@Mikes_Travels Sanford and Orlando International are two different airports . UK airlines stopped flying there 2 yrs ago despite only being 40 miles from internatial drive and was a quick drive. Orlando International is about 8 miles from international drive , it's busier but still quicker than from Melbourne where the average drive now is heading towards 2 hrs with traffic unless you hit lucky.

@ovy6136 Sorry I meant Orlando International. I've flown into Florida about 10 times from the UK and most of that over the years has been to Sanford. I've also been in and out of Orlando International and always found Melbourne quicker. Guess I've been lucky. For me it's not necessarily the journey time, it's the hassle free, relaxed environment and hardly any queuing. Thanks for your comments

I've also posted videos of Disney Springs and the parks on this channel, which also includes restaurants, snacks and prices that I think you will also find useful As I said on the video, we have stayed previously at Animal Kingdom Lodge and Caribbean Beach resort and I guess the most pronounced thing for me is how you are treated as a guest at the value resorts compared to others. Even down to the fact that you can't get a dairy alternative for your coffee at a value resort if you have an allergy or intolerance, but can at others. Something for example that Disney should change. Having said that, if you are simply using it as a base to visit the parks, taking advantage of the transport, it does a perfectly good job and offers most things you will need. Im sure as a regukar Disney visitor, you will know this but, food and drink is expensive in the hotel and parks and it might be worth getting a cab or if you hire a car, visiting a Wallmart or similar place to stock up for drinks and snacks. The reusable cup for in the hotel is a good value purchase to continually refill hot and cold drinks. You can take these to the parks, but you can't refill them in there. @@Mikes_Travels really enjoyed the vlog and agree the over all airport experience is better than Sanford and I’d extend that to MCO as well, If and hopefully when they develop the car hire pick up to allow a skip the queue they will have cracked it for me. Either way though this is our airport of choice now for TUI Newcastle- Orlando flying premium.

Thanks for your comments, but that has nothing to do with the video. The video is simply to show people the stadium and what's around it, should they be visiting for the 1st time. I've also got my own views about the stadium, having been a season ticket holder for about 25 years and following the club home and away for 45 years, but that wasn't the point of the video Thanks anyway for watching. Much appreciated

@@Mikes_Travels not saying it was the point. My honest assessment of the stadium and the current state of the club. Because of this move I’ve had family members who have lost their businesses and a generation of supporters that don’t feel they can go anymore because the heart and soul has been ripped away from it. As long as you get your likes and views though 👍🏻. You’re entitled to your opinion as I am mine. My view is my own and have seen first hand what it has done to an entire community that has been left behind. Me my family lived there. As long as 60,000 tourist come to the stadium that’s all that matters hey. Speak to any away fan they’ll say it’s the worst away day in the league. I’ve been to the stadium loads of times and completely hate it. Know it’s not the point of the video but if you put that stadium on here you’re entitled to comment. Obviously helps away fans find there way around the ground fair enough.

@STW-l5v I don't do the video for likes and views as I'm not monetised on TH-cam and I don't quite get why you have gone on the attack. I can only assume that you haven't watched the whole video or listened to what I said. TH-cam is a hobby for me and your last sentence summed it up. It's to help people who visit for the first time and need to know where to go...and I also share the extortionate prices if you watch the video and offer alternatives. I was born and bred 1 mile from the Boleyn. I went to school in the area and my family had businesses in the area. I know the impact the move had on the area, an area I had great affinity to. I just wish people like yourself would consider things before you comment. Not everyone does TH-cam just for clicks. Some of us post videos simply to help people. This video has nothing to do with the move, the implications or anything like that. I've also got my own opinions about that but my channel is not about that. It's about travel and visiting places and you'd see that from my other videos. I appreciate your comments though

@MrDianaxxx Hi, thank you for watching. It isn't always recommended due to the big waves and strong current. We didn't see anyone swimming in the ocean when we were there, but a number of people were paddling. The beach was one of the best I've seen in the world though and lovely to walk along and it was always great to watch the rollers from the hotel infinity pool and from the beach.
