I was the DJ at the Harbor House hotel in Lynn Massachusetts in the late 70s when Tavares performed a couple of different times. They were great.

Love that they still speak with our New England accent..."we stahted"...❤❤❤ I have loved them since my early teens. Saw them live for my 30th birthday in 1980...they are Superstars in my memories! "Kojak, won'cha bring 'em back! Whodunit?"

I'm almost 70! Tavares is a group that 'Stood the Tests of Time'! I loved them, my husband (12 years my junior), loves them, my daughters (ages 50 & 30), love them and "The World"..... DEFINITELY LOVES TAVARES! What a group! They definitely still fine as wine!❤❤

I first heard them in early '74 while on assignment near Fall River Mass. I got their first album and enjoyed all the songs on it such as Check it Out, If That's the Way That You Want It and That's the Sound That Lonely Makes. I followed them as they went disco and became widely known and saw them live at disco clubs in the NY area. Some people I knew from Providence knew them from their early days when they were known as Chubby and the Turnpikes.

Wow I really enjoyed watching this. They were are gifted and talented brothers. They remind me so much of my other favorite group also a family of 7 boys and 3 girls. It hurt so much losing Michael my favorite and now this. Ralph was gorgeous my favorite. Can't believe he's gone😔😢
