UK Cinema Retro Trailer Reels
United Kingdom
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 15 ก.พ. 2016
An archive of custom UK Cinema trailer reels for classic movies. All movies in our library were released in UK cinemas between January 1st 1970 and December 31st 2000, for ABC, EMI, Odeon, Cannon, MGM and Warner Village cinemas.
Cinema is my passion. I have very fond memories of going to an ABC, Cannon or Odeon cinema in the 80s and 90s and just getting lost in the majesty of it all. The trailers, the ads, seeing that BBFC certificate before the film... it was part of the experience, and so now you can relive that UK cinema experience at home with your movie collection, and my custom made trailer reels.
You are LOVED, you are APPRECIATED, you are BLESSED!!!
New Reels drop every Wednesday & Saturday at 6pm (UK time).

Over the top was number one hit in the UK
Desperado is a classic. One of the most violent movies ever made.
I have said this so many times before, but I'm gonna say it again, this iconic sequel was the very, very, VERY first movie I ever, ever saw at an actual cinema when I was ever so small.
Fantastic reel I must give this Godzilla another go as tbh wasn’t a fan upon release but times change ❤ Omg love the avengers trailer that was a favourite of mine that summer ❤🎉 As was Armageddon and zorro❤❤
02:08
I've never watched House Party.
Movie is a classic. Feel good movie. Avoid the sequels & the 2023 remake 🤢
I noticed that ad featuring Michael Aspel... isnt he voicing the Rank Previewtime segments too?
Great reel n great trailers ❤ Mercury rising Ronin Rush hour Out of sight All so great n I can’t believe that was Kim fox from Eastenders in the super noodle advert 😅😅
My favourite Omen film..chilling...
Still hoping you can find the Lambert and Butler cigarette ads..with them chasing that huge fish..it was a superior filmed advert..kindest regards Paul
I had Buck Rogers as a 40 min cut down on Super 8mm film..fabulous! Thus film was a TV movie, same as Battlestar Galactica released in cinemas...Glen a Larson production! Brilliantly camp !
Back when going to the cinema was worth going..
10:54 Taxi Driver is a classic. Madeline Smith at 12:40.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a classic. My parents named my brother Jack Nicholas. I'd love to see a cinema trailer reel of the classic 1977 animated post apocalyptic fantasy film Wizards.
Is there a possibility to do a reissue of The Jungle Book? Or something for Mulan.
Bill Murray vs Fullaballoney Phil.
Groundhog Day is a classic. Such a brilliant film.
Classic job classic channel love it as always
4:52- McDonald's
More garbage from The Americans . 😆 🤣 😂 😹
Brilliant movie with some great visuals and a seriously under appreciated score by James Horner. I went to see this movie back in 1983 with my dad. They still had shorts before the main feature back then - I think the short was a movie about wine production in some European country.
Seem to remember Krull was shown at the Odeon chain. I'm pretty sure that's where I saw it. Though that was long ago!
It may have played regional Odeon’s, but EMI-Warner-Columbia were usually ABC as EMI owned the company.
Yes it was definitely Odeon. Colombia films were mainy shown in the Odeon chain and I have memories of seeing both Close Encounters Of The Third Kind (1977/78) and Ghostbusters along with Krull all Colombia films at the Odeon. In fact just found a Krull paper advertising page online that has the film at the Odeon across the country. It's true Thorn EMI and Warner Bros along with Universal and Paramount were mainly screened at ABC cinemas.
6:00 I watched Space Raiders years ago on TH-cam. It reminded me of Serenity. The ending was sad 😟
Great sequel with Harry as enforcer of the police. Suggestions this time are Stargate, Game Of Death (1978), The Devil's Advocate, UHF and Do the Right Thing
Krull is a great movie. I bought it on DVD in 2004. th-cam.com/video/UmI6fO_Qj6g/w-d-xo.html
"I am Ergo the Magnificent. Short in stature, tall in power, narrow of purpose, and wide of vision".
Great films and oh boy enter the dragon my hero Bruce lee from aged 9 great job as always matey
The first Saturday without a new reel. 😭 😭
Magnum Force went up.
@ it doesn’t show on your channel… 🤷♂️
It’s partially blocked due to copyright in some countries. So I can only assume you’re in one of the affected countries.
Ugh. Story of my life…
It's great to see these recreated cinema reels from back in the day. Keep up the good work. However, there is a problem with the Butterkist ad at 18:20, as there is a skip in it. It's been like that since the Diamonds Are Forever reel.
You got the right logo for the Superman IV trailer - impressed! What was odd about Superman IV and Over the Top was that both played tandem with the Cannon and Warner Bros logos in cinema and on video. Over the Top was released in cinemas in the UK by Warner and had their logo, but on video it was on Rank and the film carried the Cannon logo (with opening music playing over it like the WB version). Superman IV on the other hand was the exact opposite. Cinema release was by Cannon with their logo at the start, but video release was by Warner with their logo at the start - both with the Superman theme playing under them!
Well technically I got the right logo for that Superman IV trailer because I edited it, as the Cannon official trailer was only available online on old VHS trailer promos. I reconstructed the trailer from the ground up. UK Cinema Retro Trailer Reels downloaded my trailer and added a 35mm effect to it.
@@OliverHarper Well done, nice to see it as it would have looked back then! No idea why they switched to a WB print for UK home video though. Warner were releasing a lot of Cannon films on video in the 86-88 period, so perhaps it was part of the deal for the main feature to have their ident...
Yup. All the praise goes to Oliver, who is rightly credited in the video description.
Really good reel! Please carry them on! Would you do reels for Tremors (1990), Wild Things (1998), The World is Not Enough (1999), Starship Troopers and Tammy & The T. Rex (1994)
Carpenter's most underrated movie. Movie Suggestions are Scum, Point Break, Broadcast News, Young Guns and Horror Express.
Cannon must have been so convinced they had a blockbusters on their hands with Over the Top and Superman IV... They ended up with second prize... the booby prize.
9:23 they just showed the entire movie of Solar Babies and the ending. 🤦
I found some virgin cinemas stuff so that you can make virgin cinemas uk cinema reels from mid 1995-2000 Founded here th-cam.com/video/jGE6PkTfs3E/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NMAHAfzi6Wl8apdc
Another great upload keep them coming really takes me back 👍❤
I suppose "Meet Me Halfway" wouldn't fit?
Timeless Classic! Yet more Epic!
Very nice choice, I don't recall us ever showing this at ours - it could very well have passed us by! Don't know if you have seen this also, but Reel35 uploaded a Virgin pre-show reel yesterday which has the original 1996 closing version of the Pearl and Dean film strip logo - it looks more different than I remember! He didn't have the matching opening sadly, so I would be reluctant to use it alongside the modified opening titles (albeit it could very well be edited in as the visuals on that last part are the same!), but very nice to see all the same! th-cam.com/video/jGE6PkTfs3E/w-d-xo.html
Theatrical Trailer for The Incredible Melting Man was shown in theaters with... Rolling Thunder Assault on Precinct 13 The Pack Kingdom of the Spiders
Thanks for posting this. I remember my dad taking me to see "Force 10 From Navarone" for my 10th Birthday and seeing the poster for this film in the foyer as next week's attraction. I thought the films title and poster was so cool, but I wasn't old enough to see it. I wouldn't see it until 3 years later on home video. Been a fan of John Carpenter ever since.
I noticed now when I watch John Carpenter movies I have to adjust the sound - because of the cool music. LOL
Assault On Precint 13 has one of the best theme tunes of all time!
Wow, I can't believe you have found this. Thank you so much for sharing. I have the best memories of seeing this film at the cinema with my Dad and sister back in '85 and seeing all this again took me right back to the day we went to watch the greatest Christmas film ever made, 'Santa Claus: The Movie'. What a year '85 was with The Goonies and Back To the Future. Talking of time travel, this was the closest I could get to traveling back to 1985. Thank you!
Not generally a devotee of theatrical and TV hilarity from the '90s onwards tbh. My comedic tastes tend to reside predominantly in the '70s and '80s.
Brilliant reel lots of classics here Friday n tank girl 🙌😎 I need to see the quick n dead 😎😎 The bad boys films are brilliant ❤❤❤
Love these. Keep them coming.
Same as Daniel never seen the movie but known about it for years. Nice excuse to watch now. Suggestions this time are Year of the Dragon, Dead and Buried, Caligula, Kingpin and Deep Blue Sea
