well ted is the narrator and an unreliable one which plays into him being narcissistic while he portrays himself as the good guy

Well, everybody does that, that is basically the theme of a premarried life. It is kind of normal that you end relationships if you see that there is no future in pursuing them.

@@Videokeiler I get that but he breaks up with girls for the pettiest reasons and he never admits to his own faults. Like the time he expected robin to give up all her dogs because it belonged to her exes but he kept all the things that belonged to his exes. Or like the time he revealed Stella's sex secret and told her she's afraid of having a serious relationship with him when she's pissed at him.Or the time he didn't have the decency to wait a day or two to break up with a girl and dump her on her birthday for the second time. The part I didn't like was that Ted was rewarded for every shitty thing he does. Even when with Tracy, his character dosent change. Like for example before Barney married robin he changed his playboy selfish attitude. But Ted never changed in any of these ways.

@@newbhackerthenewb9669 Actually he did get rid of the things from his exes briefly. Then when Robin wouldn’t get rid of his dogs, he didn’t see any point of getting rid of them so he brought them back.
