It really is amazing how much dialogue actors memorize for this play, it's so intense with words and often interlocks with scenes happening simultaneously.
@@allaboutroy7399 i am pretty sure she is speaking snippets of prayers from the siddur, because it sounds vaguely familiar. But maybe its just gibberish 🤷🏻♀️
I find it hilarious that Andrew just has to sit there on the timed turntable for 12 minutes, waiting for his part😂 And I’m amazed when Prior sees the fire and book come up, that Belize and Louis are oblivious to it because they’re in a different setting and don’t actually see it😭
This was a professional production? ouch. A total disservice to this masterpiece. Please let the words move your performance, and there is no need to upstage that material you are given. It is the most beautiful and important play every written for a reason. These two are not the reason.
@@tonygoldwynlover I have. And I can state, I still hold my experience to be true. But I’m happy you took something different from this performance. What did you love about it?
This might be my favourite scene in any play. The writing is brilliant. The acting top notch. Seeing this live was the best theatre experience of my life. The sooner NT uploads or makes the entire play available the better.

“hey dutch men - I MEAN THEY”
as a white guy somewhere between liberal and leftist, I felt a little called out by Louis. Well done, Kushner.
This “American” accent is just…trying.

Thank you for posting this.
Lewis reminds me of my ex & his brothers
Thank you so much for uploading these segments! I wish TH-cam showed more of Broadway&Theatre than they currently do. 🎭
Only James McArdle's 'Ds' reveal his Scottish origins.
17:15 the book from hell :))
The Hebrew was pretty well done, especially as the actress is probably not Jewish and raised speaking Hebrew.
It’s not really Hebrew. She’s speaking gibberish I think

I love how belize just sits there and listens to him spew his bullshit

Nathan Stewart-Jarrett nails every bit of this. So so good.
17:10 possibly the most expensive sight gag in history.
This scene is too real.

Someone's never heard of Brecht.
you’re the only person who thinks this by the way
@@tonygoldwynlover I doubt I’m the only one, but I’m certainly in the minority.
@@peterglen8396 yeah sit back and think about why it’s a minority of people
