This is a small channel for me to post my short Foundry VTT guides for areas I want to raise awareness of - normally modules i'm enjoying using.
These are mainly created for the benefit of the Dungeons & Dragons 5e Curse of Strahd community, found at www.reddit.com/r/curseofstrahd , or their Discord server.
I also stream Curse of Strahd Tuesday evenings 19:30 GMT at twitch.tv/harrison_stream .

How hard is it to copy scenes between worlds? I plan to setup a handful of generic scenes that i can reuse between worlds.
Soundboard module is out of date and hasn't been updated in a while. I need a module that allows me to play sounds that ONLY ONE player can hear. He's haunted by a cursed weapon and Soundboard has been working great for this...but it's no longer working. :(
Pronouns kill Immersive Fantasy.
ok buddy
Party overview never seems to work for me. I have everything enabled but doesn't do anything even when i have tokens on the board. not sure what the issue is.
The module is still working? What is the name? Because I search "Let's Mount Up" and not appear
This is a really cool module. But almost all of my players just make fun of the audio and mute it, (despite knowing most of the music I use was made by me, and knowing how much work I put into the audio for scenes). Now, if there was a module to make it so players can't mute the audio, that'd be amazing.
Honestly get better players. If they really want to they can turn down the music, but they don't need to make fun of it. Especially when they know you've made it.
I think I may download this mod but question where did you get this map?
I made it! It's from The MAD Cartographer, and is called 'The Scribe' from the Dungeon Delve theme.
Question. Token flip only changes the token. So what do I do if its a PC transforming? is there a way to change the stats as well. I have a werebear that gets a plus 2 STR and plus one CON and plus one AC when he transforms. Do I have to change that manually?
Create an effect. I am running a Dragon Ball campaign, so transformations are EXTREMELY important, and these come with stat changes. Check out Actor Attribute List to be able to see what all attributes are. I run my transformations as "cantrips" that when used, activate the effect of the transformation. That changes their stats, but not their token.
You can have the token change to a different actor entirely with token flip. Just set up another actor for the transformation and there is a drop down in the settings.
Can this be used to flip to Larger tokens like for a size change?
How do I do this "Miss the target" effect?
30 minutes just to get to the point oMFG
Hi, it's a 5 minute video - sorry it took you 6 viewings to comprehend. Hope this helps! :)
Was missing transitions effects, thank you for this info! But looks like "wait" is not supported anymore.
You did not mention the name of the module. I see it in the title, but you never said it.
Thank Goodness you read the title then! <3
Ty! I needed this.
Running this tonight. Still valuable 3 years after the post. Thank you. New sub for sure.
If you have created all these items from scratch with custom icons and you want to use these same searches in a different world campaign, what is the best way to export everything? Would making a compendium solve this? Obviously you don't want to do all this work each time. Thanks!
I absolutely have a shared compendium that I use to have items accessible across worlds. For example, I've created a number of the 'special' arrows and throwable potions/bottles from Baldur's Gate 3 that I REALLY don't want to have to set up in every world!
I can make my dice shit lightening bolts, but I cannot display them on the screen. Anyone know how to get the icons on the screen?
TIL what the "fade" function was. Thanks. Awesome.
Glad it helped!
I watched this whole thing while planning my own CoS campaign. Thanks for the fun and inspiration!
Really glad you enjoyed it!
Is there a way to show a scene to your players without them needing to be in the scene?
You could remove the 'Token Vision' check from the scene configuration!
Always HP is way too hard to integrate into anything other than lame D&D. I'm trying to crack this module to work how I want in Custom System Builder and it has lots of problems. I even found a JS programmer and we still didn't manage to make it work properly. If anyone can help, please contact.
Here I was looking for combat music, no idea why Darkest Dungeon didn't instantly come to mind. Thanks!
It's a goldmine of combat music!
Amazing episode
So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
sad doesn t work anymore T:T
Thank you so much for this demonstration, definitely going to have to get it. Off to go check out the gatherer module video you mentioned now!
Glad it was helpful!
What are the unique borders you have on some of the tokens they look wonderful!
They are the 'Adventurer' pack of token frames from the Paper Forge Patreon!
May i ask which chrome extension you are using in this video, i think it's amazing!
Only thing this is missing is potions are supposed to use magic to craft them. A potion needs a cure wound spell to be cast for example.
Depends on the system. 3.X and PF that would be correct to my recollection but 5E has no such requirement... although I make it a house rule, but I very rarely allow crafting at all. I would like it to give the option to be able to add a spell requirement though. Only thing missing on this description is that it appears to be a premium only module.
do you plan to remake the map
what maps where you using for your Session
SALVOU MINHA VIDA PATRÃO, OBRIGADO MEU QUERIDO
"I cast Identify, why it did make a fireball so..." Roll a DEX save. :)
Oh lord, even in Barovia you can be paid with ExPoSuRe. I play these games to escape from the mundane world, not to emulate it, lol.
For a first time DM, I appreciate this series so much!
Really glad to hear that!
Thanks for the video! Can you share where the token border for Atticus is from?
It's a token frame from the Paperforge Patreon!
I am curious, I like so much of this module, and is why I got the Patreon. But, I want some soundscapes to play continuous, and then combat to shuffle but I can't seem to get that to work. I know the Mood stuff could be used, but I love the idea of it automatically detecting combat, playing that playlist, then going back to the ambient list after combat ends.
Dang, this looks super helpful, but not 100 bucks a year helpful 😕
What is that map please? It looks great!
Thanks! It's "The Grand Orrery" in the Astral theme from The MAD Cartographer.
Why are you recording in 480?
I have been mucking around with this module. I don't know... maybe i'm not using it properly, but it seems a little clunky. Sometimes i have to f5 refresh to get blocks to play
Awesome reviews of modules! Where do you get those icons for items?
very good
love this - thanks for sharing :-)
Excellent Video. Will check out this module! where would one go to get sound effects?
Mind Blowing ! Thanks for sharing :).
This module looks amazing.. sadly I'm not able to upgrade to v11 yet due to a system not ready for it.. But I can't wait to use this.. any good sources for sound effects?
Epidemic Sounds!
An update to this video - Ripper, being the extremely responsive dev he is, has already implemented the two things I would have loved to see in this module: 1) Foundry's built-in ambient weather conditions can now be set as triggers, so my entire "mode B" segment of this video can now just be attributed to a weather setting 2) Setting a soundscape playlist as the "Playlist scene" setting in the ambient tab of the scene configuration will now cause the soundscape to automatically activate when the scene loads. Enjoy!
Absolutely love this new module. Thank you for showing it off! I will definitely be using this one going forward. Can you please provide me a list of all resources you use for sounds? Currently I use wowhead to pull all my sounds, but I would love to have not options!
I just use Epidemic Sounds website, and then a couple of pieces that I have permission to use from personal or professional relationships! Epidemic Sounds is absolutely the majority of it though.
What a neat idea using this for searching for lore related books!
Thanks for the great information!
