Talk to your doctor obviously doesn’t apply to NHS patients. Your doctor doesn’t listen, they just know how to medicate. Appointments with your GP are not long enough to have a conversation.

I take Lisinopril & never had any these after effects. I asked a pharmacist which BP meds make you cough and she said "all of them". She suggested just try to find one that makes you cough less. One that makes me have dry cough is Clonidine.

I take 25mg of sildenafil & 0.4 mg of flowmax daily otherwise will be a difficult day.

I've been on Losartan for very many years and have had almost all the symptoms mentioned for years. I thought I was just an unhealthy person. I mentioned the symptoms to my doctor over the years. She did ask me about the symptoms regularly but nothing ever came of it. I recently started experiencing low bp and decided to cut back my dosage. I did this over several weeks. I have now been drug free for a week. My bp is normal. I don't think everyone should cut back.I did only because the low blood pressure symptoms were very exaggerated. Please monitor your bp readings regularly. I was over medicated for years.

I have been on Valsartan/Hydroclorothyaside for 25 years with no side effects.

Better stop tak8ng that. June 22 i had to have an emergency operation for an incarcerated hernia.....directly caused by losartin. Yes.the dry, strenous cough over a period of 4 months led to enough pressue on my abdomen caused a liberally split in my stomach wall. My intentestines were literally poking out from a small tear in the wall of my stomach. The pain when it ripped was horrid. I have NEVER had a problemwith a hernia or ANY WEAKNESS IN MY MID SECTION.

I was given Lisinopril 5mg in the ER when I was having Bradycardia, with a Temporary Pacemaker then the Permanent Pacemaker after 6 hours all done in the ER then put in the CCICU then 3 days later I had a Quadruple Heart Bypass done in Oct. 2023. The Cardiologist just this week changed the Lisinopril to 2.5mg and my Cholesterol stayin from Rosuvastatin 20mg to Artoravastatin 80mg this Sept. 2024. I have haf many Ups and Downs with this recovery.

Add in Tamsulosin, aka Flomax to the list. Had a bit of a misadventure when doctor didn't notice a urologist prescribing that drug and she increased my calcium channel blocker and added an ACE inhibitor, while I remained on my beta blocker. Literally nearly passed out in the street, went over the meds list and boy, was my resident wearing a red face. Suffice it to say, things got scaled back, the useless Flomax has been discontinued, scaled back the lisinopril and now titrating it back up and what I suspect is the root cause for suddenly friable BP control, got an appointment with a GI doc this week, as diarrhea for four months can wreak havoc on electrolytes, fluid balances and more. At one point, I was on the lowest borderline on sodium and chloride, plus my usual low magnesium secondary to proton pump inhibitors. Gotta say though, it was a first for me for doctor to order me to eat more prepared foods. I just excavated my salt shaker...

Never understood what said is I looked for it on the aspirin shelf never seen it. I took 5 different meds at one time but got tired of it and just threw it away screw it

I have been taking Flomax for 2 yrs now. Started getting blurred vision so of course I stopped. Didn't notice any difference at all. It's been a month now and my urine patterns are exactly the same.. Why did I bother? BTW the blurred vision isn't going anywhere... scary.

Turn on the TV …..24/7 drug ads …you need this ….you need that…..especially irritating are the dancing fat people proclaiming their A1C was under control ……then one listens to….how that drug can kill you three different ways…get serious infections possible life threatening……and even cause one to lose their low limbs…….I would just rather stop the carbs and sugar and loose the weight….

What a bummer, all the medications do one thing and also many other bad things

When I found out I had an enlarged prostate, my Dr. put me on 5 mg Finasteride and tamsulosin( don't remember the dosage). He said they work together. I developed breathing problems at night and found out that tamsulosin caused it so I stopped taking it. I can breath now.

Do not forget a multivitamin a day.
