    girl scout cookies (you'd call them biscuits) are surprisingly good. you'd expect them to be mediocre at best but that's not the case they're actually awesome. i don't care fer the coconut personally but the rest are great.

    Several American companies are gouging consumers here in the United States. After covid, President Biden was able to turn the economy around and inflation began coming down. But several American companies wanted to keep charging the higher prices as if inflation was still high. President Biden is working on remedies for price fixing and price gouging by American corporations. But he and the Democrats in congress are having to fight tooth and nail to overcome the Republicans very slight majority in congress. Because Republican politicians are huge benefactors of the legalized bribery called campaign donations and lobbying from these very same corporate pirates who are raping the American consumers. And the Republican politicians don't want the gravy train of money they all receive to buy their votes. So they do everything within their power to block anything the Democrats are trying to do to hold these companies accountable for taking advantage of the American people. That's why you can get some of the exact same things there for a lot less than Americans have to pay for something that is made here in America. The exact same thing happens with prescription drugs. Almost every other country in the world only pays a fraction of what U.S. consumers are made to pay for the exact same prescriptions made by the exact same American companies. It's a sad,sad situation here.

    The Milky Way bar is made of nougat, topped with caramel and covered with milk chocolate. It was created in 1923 by Frank C. Mars and originally manufactured in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The name and taste derived from a then-popular malted milk drink (milkshake) of the day, not after the astronomical galaxy. There is no caramel in a Three Musketeers bar. So no. It's not a Milky Way.

    If the jalapeno product has pectin in it. Then it is most likely either a jelly or a jam. Jam would have bits in it. Jelly would be free of any bits. And I can't think of any American relishes that use pectin at all.

    My oldest brother was a coffee snob. He did everything himself short of growing the beans. He rosted his own coffee beans, ground them himself. I on the other hand am completely satisfied with my one single cup of Folgers instant coffee in the morning. A kettle, a cup and a spoon is all the equipment I need.

    I'd wager that if you were able to get enough people to go into your local grocer and ask them to let their Nabisco vender know that they really want this flavor of Oreo to be a regular item in the store. Most businessmen want to make more money and if enough interest is shown. You may well get them there.

    Apple crumble is a traditional British dessert that likely originated in the 1940s during World War II. It was created as a substitute for apple pie, which was more difficult to make due to food rationing and a lack of ingredients like flour and butter. Instead, people made a crumble topping of flour, fat, and brown sugar that resembled breadcrumbs, and sprinkled it on top of stewed fruit. The dish became a registered national recipe in 1942.

    @davidcopple8071 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Apple pie originated in England around 600 years ago, with the first recorded recipe appearing in 1381. The recipe included apples, spices, dried fruits, and pastry, but it didn't contain sugar because it was expensive and scarce at the time. The pastry crust was also called "coffin" pastry and was meant to be inedible. The dish was influenced by culinary traditions from France, the Netherlands, and the Ottoman Empire. But perfected in America. So it's not really accurate to say that what is known as apple pie was invented in England in the Saxon era 600 years ago. Because except for the apples there is nothing the same. No sugar, an inedible crust, and more than likely given England's long time history of bland food, probably not much in the way of spices either. So it was an inedible shell that was little more than a cooking vessel that happened to contain apples. Doesn't really add up to what we understand today as apple pie is it? Apple pie is considered an American dessert because European settlers brought it to the colonies in the 1600s, where it quickly became popular. The dish's popularity was also influenced by apple trees being planted in the Massachusetts Bay Colony as early as the 17th century, and by Dutch immigrants introducing apple preservation techniques in the late 18th century. German immigrants also contributed to the American apple pie by introducing the edible flaky pastry crust.

    Vegans and Vegetarians in my personal experience. Seem to work really hard to convince themselves and others that their food tastes just as good, if not better, than real food. I've tried several vegetarian foods and some are okay like tofu. As a former head chef and chef instructor. I do have some advantages in food preparation and food science that the average home cook may be lacking. But even with my experience and knowledge. The vast majority of prepared vegan food, like vegan cheese for instance, initially tastes okay but then the after taste , or the finish, is usually horrible. Same with some prepared vegetarian foods. I also have yet to meet either a vegetarian or vegan who is not taking daily supplements to make up for the lack of something crucial in their diet's like iron or calcium for instance. I take absolutely no supplements of any kind. Not even vitamins. ( The majority of the artificial vitamins are lacking key ingredients found in real food that allows your body to absorb the proper amount of the vitamins. And the majority of the artificial vitamins you take in pill from leaves your body in your urine. But at least I guess you have really healthy urine. ) , rather I get all of my vitamins and minerals through the foods I enjoyed and choose to eat.

    You absolutely need to season your grits. Either with salt, pepper and butter. Or Sugar and butter for sweet grits. But grits on their own are very bland. But that's really a good thing because it gives you a blank pallet to work with. Just like chicken breasts. People love chicken breasts but you would never just eat the breast plain, unseasoned. It would be bland and almost flavorless same as grits and many other foods. Grits are made from ground hominy. Which is a corn product originally created by Native Americans. Origin. The dish originated with the Native American Muscogee tribe using hominy. American colonists learned to make the dish from the Native Americans, and it quickly became an American staple. At that time, maize or hominy for grits was ground on a stone mill.

    Actually grits are a Southern American staple breakfast and side dish or main dish. As they can be prepared for sweet or savory dishes and classics like shrimp and Grits, Cheese Grits are very popular mostly in the Southern U S. One point though. No self respecting Southerner would ever use instant grits. But I recon for your purposes they may well do. However. Regular Grits are much better. Just think of grits as Southern American Polenta.
